When the truck was opened at delivery, the unit had tipped over and the dryer glass was shattered. The company later denied my claim, stating I signed a liability waiver because the units remained stacked. My issue is not that the units were transported stacked -- it's that they appear to have been improperly secured during transport, causing the straps to fail and the appliance to fall. I trusted the movers to transport the unit safely. Very disappointing outcome and claims process.

BUT we know that what did not work now does work! Thank you, Booms Welding!!! - - - We ordered a pellet smoker and the first one that was delivered was clearly damaged, seemingly before it was put in the box at the factory; the manufacturer sent us a replacement, and since the first one was too big to send back, they let us keep it. The smoker is upright, similar to a dorm or hotel refrigerator (but bigger), and the damage made it out-of-square... it was tilted just a bit, and that bit was just enough to prevent the shelves from being supported on all four corners... if we were to use it and to put meat on it to cook, a sizable amount would have made the shelf tilt and fall. We had met Joel before, searching for help on another home project; Joel was very friendly and helpful; while the part we needed repaired couldn't be repaired (we ultimately found an unexpected replacement...), Joel was straightforward... he clearly understood our ask and shared why he wanted to help but just couldn't. That impressed us. So when we needed the smoker repaired, we called Joel. He came to visit and to determine what to do; Joel suspected that welding a couple metal pieces inside the smoker would provide the support that the shelves needed. We just needed to get the smoker to their shop and their welding equipment. We took the smoker to Booms and dropped it off. Within an hour they had it repaired... they were able to straighten the frame and to then make two welds to hold it in the straightened position. The repair was done so well and so professionally that, when they showed us the two welds, which they painted, in the bright outside sunshine, we could barely the repairs... the smoker, with the welds, looked like brand new. I've been waiting on a few dominos to fall in order to start the permit process to install some…read moreracks in my warehouse, and one of the later dominos that needed to drop was getting some cross bars cut down to size. Due to some dates being pushed up, I needed those bars to be cut down sooner rather than later. I emailed info@booms and had a response within the hour. They asked me if I wanted to bring the bars in or have them pick-up; I chose to deliver them directly to Booms and the gentlemen I spoke with said he should have them done by the end of the day. He notified me later that afternoon that they were done. I just picked the bars up and they look amazing. Exactly what I needed, just as specified. I am very pleased with the work performed by Booms. My representative came back the next day and pointed out that the indicia was added by mistake and I then asked for it to be removed. After that, I received no correspondence from my representative letting me know that this had either been taken care of or that it was not being taken care of. I feel as though if it were addressed earlier, I would not be writing this review. We requested a refund because having the indicia printed on the postcards made it so we had to pay for extra services that we were not prepared or interested in purchasing. We offered to bring the postcards back to the office. She then proceeded to insult me by telling me I was giving her the "run around" and that I was trying to "get something for nothing". She insisted that we pay for additional services through Advanced Mailing Services and told me that her boss would also not give me a refund and that she would tell me to "get lost". After this phone call, my team decided they were not worth our time to pursue the matter and to eat the cost of the postcards. Extremely unprofessional to work with. The level of interaction with the customer left something to be desired. I did not appreciate the way I was spoken to when I called to try and get this straightened out. I had to say several times that I was not trying to rip off their company (because that's ridiculous) that I was not questioning her skill or her expertise. We are preparing to sell out home and I had a home inspection done prior to listing and the inspector took one look at the Sylvania electrical panel and flipped his lid. I was given Charlie McCarty's name from a construction contractor friend and called. He answered and scheduled to meet me at my home the next day. He not surveyed the electrical panel, but inspected each and every outlet in the house. He agreed with everything the home inspector stated in his assessment, and even added a few things that needed to be addressed before St Louis County sent someone for an Occupancy permit inspection. Charlie's computer died the night before his visit, but it did not stop him from meeting me at the agreed upon appointment time. He kept in touch with me as he got his system restored. He sent a crew to the house to handle all the work required after getting the necessary work permits. The proposal was fair (far less than I imagined) and the work was handled in swift fashion. there were a few minor things that got missed, but were corrected with just one phone call.
