He created our dream porch, added a garage, master suite, redid multiple bathrooms, and the list goes on and on! Now that we are finished with our renovation, we wanted to let everyone know about our great experience. When other contractors said the project would take close to 6 months or more, Glenn gave us a timeline of 4-5months and would be working solely on our project. This was important to me to find a contractor only focused on my job! That is Glenn! He was right on schedule and we often saw him working at the house on weekends! He was able to obtain permits very quickly and get things done when they needed to be. Glenn included us on every decision and treated our home like It was his own from start to finish. He was very professional and easy to work with and all the subcontractors and my interior designer thought so too! He made himself available late at night and weekends to answer any questions we had. And; even though he is "done" with the house, I am confident when/if any issue arises, he will he right on top of it! I still talk to him often as am learning the ins and outs of my house (pregnant and during the pandemic). Inspections were passed without any difficulties making the end of our project seamless for me- at a very hectic time (beginning of Corona)! Pete and his crew did an excellent job on the exterior renovation (new roof, siding, windows, and…read moregutters) of our home. The crews showed up on site, when he stated they would and worked straight until they completed the entire job, including Saturdays. Their attention to detail, was incredible, they even went as far as matching the color of the gable vents to the new siding vs the standard white vent on every other home. All holes and corners were filled or caulked with color matched caulk. Every fixture had a white mounting block installed. They used high quality material and the installation was spot-on. At the end of the job, Pete did a full walk-thru with us and identified a couple minor 'punchlist' items. His crew came back the next day to address the issues. Pete even sent his guys back a few months after their contract was complete to add a dryer vent on our addition that I forgot to ask for while they were here. Their estimate, contract, and payment terms were clear and fair. We are very satisfied with the work completed by PJ Sullivan Exteriors and the timeframe in which it was completed. I signed a contract with Peter Sullivan, PJS Builders on Feb 27 with a start date of March 18 and gave Pete a deposit of almost $10k He was quick to come and get a check After a multitude of excuses he finally had his guys show up on May 1. They did 1 day of work and almost covered the deposit. 9 interior doors. primed. I had to call over and over to get a hold of Peter and schedule the work. Needless to say they were over 6 weeks past the start date After the 1 day May 1st ALl I kept hearing was they were backed up with other jobs and a million excuses. We were finally going to schedule July 8 but AGAIN a multitude of excuses like this 1 Peter: We are still working off our back log of work. We are going to be back on schedule with everything in about 2 weeks. However, my best install crew goes on vacation 7/27 until 8/12. So now its ANOTHER 6 weeks so from March 18 we are now mid August 5 months later with only 1 day of work done. Finally I had enough and got the difference in my deposit back and had then change a lock which they installed improperly STAY away from this guy/company. He says 1 thing and does another. NO regard for the customer. From I'm away on my 60th bday golf weekend in Vegas. to I have diverticulitis, to we are backed up. I have never heard so many excuses before. We had high hopes after visiting the design room, reviewing the plans and paying a significant amount of money. Unfortunately, what we hoped for is not what we ended up with. Parts were installed incorrectly, there was dirt and writing left of pieces, the wood glue used on every single piece was dirty. They came back to fix it which slightly improved things but overall, the experience with them was awful and the final product was not worth what we paid for. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

On a scale of 1-10, I would rate Jim and the quality of his work at least a 15. Jim sent me photos, of the various stages of the restoration, on a regular basis, just to keep me in the loop. And, the job was done without any excuses or delay. I also saw some of his other projects in his workshop ~ his work is just excellent! Jim is a fine, upstanding person, who sincerely cares about what he is doing. I gladly, and highly, recommend him to anyone looking to do a restoration/refinishing project. I had the pleasure of using the The Furniture Shop for a small antique coffee table I recently…read moreinherited, which is very sentimental to me. My plan was to use this coffee table as a bench at the end of the bed, however it was very wobbly, not sturdy enough to be sat on, and had at least a 5" crack in the middle of one of the legs. I contacted Jim via email and sent pictures, to which he replied to promptly and provided a rough estimate.... so I made an appointment to bring it in. Jim is both a gentleman, who was a pleasure to deal with, and an expert craftsman, who has 28 years experience in both furniture repair and upholstery. He knows his stuff! His shop was absolutely immaculate and he was both kind and easy to talk to. Top notch customer service :) 4 days later my table was ready! Apparently, it required pretty much an entire deconstruct of the second shelf and all the legs, regluing and reinforcing all interior dowels and then reassembly. The cracked table leg? I couldn't even notice it was repaired! I'm thrilled to have my treasured sentimental table back with the ability to use it in more functional manner as a bench for the end of the bed! I would absolutely recommend Jim to anyone who needs furniture repaired. Overall it was a top notch experience in every way.
