You know that feeling when you're so set on something that it haunts you for all eternity until you…read morefinally get to do it? That was me my entire four days in Prague. I passed by Oh Deer Bakery on my way to sightsee, and every opportunity I had, I would catch myself thinking of when I would be able to stop by. I checked the place out the night before I was going to leave and was set on going before heading to the airport. I researched their small menu extensively and was so set on getting the Slanina, which was a peanut butter filled cronut with a maple syrup glaze and bacon on top. My heart broke when I saw that they didn't have this, so I ended up getting the mini versions (58czk each, instead of the 89czk if you got a regular size) of the Jahoda and the Nutella. The Jahoda was a white chocolate topping with a sweet and tart strawberry mascarpone filling. I really don't know what drew me to this one because I hardly ever opt for a fruit flavor when it comes to baked goods, but I am SO glad that fate made me get this one because it was so amazing! The Nutella one was just as amazing, but in a completely different way. Unlike the stiffer, tarter strawberry mascarpone filling, this one was filled with ooey gooey thick rich salted caramel. It was much sweeter than the other cronut, but the combination of nutella and caramel went so well. The cronut itself is also an A+ in my books. The outside was crisp and the inside was soft, fluffy, and beautifully layered. The cronut itself was also not super sweet (even though it was coated in sugar), which made it a perfect vessel for the delicious fillings. The worker was also so kind and patient with me while I took a decade to decide what I wanted, and was sweet to let me borrow a knife and stay in the store for the next 10 minutes to take photos. Needless to say, the next time I'm in Prague, I'll definitely coming back, crossing my fingers that they'll have the Slanina this time!

The best bakery in Prague higher prices reflect the great quality and the Starbucks nearby is great…read morefor a coffee to pair with your pastry.

I tried the famous chimney cake with chocolate gelato and it was soo good. Not even lying when I…read moresay that I was able to eat the entire thing in few mins, devoured it till the last bite. Good food has a lot of options, including vegan and gluten free for chimney cakes. The service was pretty quick and attentive. Definitely stop-by this place if you're in Prague and would like to try some local delicacies.

Yelp Review 2023 #89:…read more Chimney cake in English, Trdelnik in Czech, kurtoskalacs in Magyar...they're the delicious pastry cooked on spits and sprinkled with sugar and walnuts. I've had Good Food bookmarked for years and I finally got the chance to go over the holidays. I had two chances of going to Good Food at 2 different countries: Czech Republic, and UAE but the one in Dubai Mall closed in 2022. I've had chimney cakes in the US and Canada but it's quite different because they use modern equipment instead of grilling them using charcoal. If you want traditional chimney cakes, you really have to go to the source: Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania. You'll see them at Christmas markets in Vienna too but that's not where they are from. My hotel was within a 10-minute walk from Good Food which located in a tourist area. So, it does get super crowded here. They have a few tables and chairs and it's quite hard to eat a chimney cake while walking through crowds. The chances of you getting bumped and dropping your chimney cake is very high. You can get just a chimney cake (pistachio, original, chocolate, gluten-free original), gelato or sorbet (chocolate, pistachio, vanilla, strudel, salted caramel, charcoal, piña colada, mango, raspberry) or chimney cake with gelato/ sorbet in different combinations. I wanted to get a savory chimney cake and a sweet chimney cake and I told myself I wasn't going to get the double chocolate chimney cake. As soon as I got to placing my order, I felt my mouth moving and I apparently said "double chocolate" and by the time I realized I wanted pistachio, it was too late! I felt pressured because of the line behind me. I paid and got my trdelnik within minutes. I was lucky to get a table but you have to squeeze in because the tables are smooshed together - if you have thick winter coat, you'll definitely brush against the table next to you. Double Chocolate Trdelnik: Chocolate chimney cake, chocolate gelato, brownies, and fresh strawberry topping. The chimney cake itself was delicious. The chocolate gelato was rich and leaned towards dark chocolate which was nice so it wasn't sweet on sweet. I would've been ok without the brownies. The strawberries were nice to give your taste buds a break from chocolate on chocolate on chocolate. Like I've mentioned, this was against my plan but I still liked it. 4/5 When I went, they were only taking credit cards. When I come back, I should get pistachio!!!
