I have been staying with a friend in Vegas and decided to check out this barbecue place a couple miles away. The staff was very friendly and responsive and provided excellent service. I went with a 3 meats 2 sides combo plate and let me tell you the baby back pork ribs are phenomenal! The brisket was amazing as well. Nothing tasted bad but the tri-tip and my sides (Mac n cheese and the chili beans) weren't much up my alley. The overall experience and vibes were great and I will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Vegas. Thanks for the great service Sarah!

From the moment I walked in the door the customer service was warm, friendly, and inviting. Truly... The customer service alone deserves five stars. I feel good people deserve good things to happen for them. So with that being said, I wish this business all the success in the world for being so awesome. Now, as far as the food goes I enjoyed everything. From the brisket sandwich and curly fries to the freshly made daily upside down cake. My only issue was the fact that the brisket in the brisket sandwich came sliced and my preference is shredded. Next time it 'll remember to request it the way I like it. My only regret is purchasing only one slice of pineapple upside down cake instead of two. But it's OK..... there's always next time.

Was looking forward to dining at Off The Hook. Each year for Father's Day weekend, we look for a new BBQ restaurant only to find out they are closed until further notice due to renovation (by a sign on their door). Other patrons were in the parking lot with the same idea. May be a good idea to update your website allowing customers to know of your plans. Wasted trip.

Chili beans were yummy too! Mac n cheese was great! Sausage was tasty.

Dined here on Feb 2nd. Took an Uber from the strip. It's just nice to get off the strip sometimes and see how the other half is living. Right? My Aunt suggested this place. We are very particular about BBQ . Ordered pork ribs, fried pickles, mac n' cheese, corn, meat medley of goodness. E V E R Y single thing we ordered...was yummmy!!!! Fried pickles were scrumptious! Definitely will be back! Oh! I even took a pineapple upside down cake to go. Enjoyed it later that night at the hotel. WOW!!!!!! Sooo good! 2 Thumbs up! Our server was lovely, friendly and helpful. Great establishment!!

The ambience was cute and very clean! Service was good! Waitress kept our drinks topped off and kept checking on us. Now let's get to the food. My husband order chicken wings w/ fries and I got 3 meat combo w/ Mac n Cheese & Mexican Corn. This allowed us to try different things. Here is our rating: 1. Wings (Hot and Mango Habanero) - 9/10 2. Curly Fries - 9/10 3. Tri Tip - 9/10 4. Brisket - 7/10 5. Chicken thighs - 8/10 6. Mac n Cheese- 7/10 7. Mexican Corn - 7/10 8. BBQ Sauce - 8/10 Overall, the food was good and satisfied craving for BBQ! The portion sizes and prices were decent! I would definitely go back to try other things!

Came in today for lunch and ordered the hot wings and salad... super good. If you like wings then you will love these wings. Buffalo sauce is excellent. Buddy ordered the nachos and that was excellent also. The service was perfect by MONICA. She served us with a smile and was super efficient... we will for sure come back for the excellent service by Monica and the excellent wings. Inside is super nice and clean. This place did not disappoint

Wow!!! We had to try their $7.99 breakfast. There was only one server and it seems she really all alone about food came after almost 40 mins. She was doing her best so we are all good. When the food came out, it was enough to make us really happy. I got the 2 pancakes with a choice of bacon or sausage. Everyone in our group was happy and satisfied with their orders. Hope we can try it again soon.

The Brisket Philly Sandwich was amazing! 10/10. The BBQ plate was good as well. We got Mac N' Cheese and Fries as sides with the Ribs, Sausage and Tri Tip. I loved the Sausage and it had a bit of a kick to it. The service was good and the server was nice and helpful with the menu. The restaurant was clean and decorated for Valentine's Day and very festive. We will be going back for sure.

After living around the corner for a few years I finally stoped by after getting off work one morning at 8a, after yelps said it was open. I walked to the door and there was a sign saying the lobby was closed and to order at the gaming bar next door. I ordered tri tip and brisket, both bland not much flavor, not much smoked flavor for slow cooking smoked food, the food came out lukewarm, the BBQ sauce was cold out of a fridge and very bland like it was made for an old folks retirement community and reminded me of plain tomato sauce. I think my high school cafeteria from the 90's had better flavor. The Mac and cheese was filling but seemed like cheese sauce from a supermarket poured over boiled noodles, sauce was runny and did not stick to the noodles, not much cheese in it. The Cole slaw was not creamy and I felt like it was a dressing poured over a shredded cabbage mixture then served, the veg was not able to soak up any flavor from the dressing over night. Having my meal in the gaming bar was ok, it was extremely clean inside, was not the greatest due to a guy on a gaming machine smoking so I decided to go and I took home a rack of baby back ribs and used some Kinder's BBQ sauce out of my fridge. The meat was fall off the bone. The bbq had almost no smoke flavor, the sauce is absolutely disappointing. Service was great bartender was very attentive checking up on me, the ambiance of a gaming bar with decently priced drinks. Now I understand why they closed the lobby. Don't think I'll be back, the customer service is great. This place would be perfect in a retirement community, very bland, not much flavor but the bones from the ribs did pull out easy.

I was hoping for a great bbq spot that is super close to home; I was sadly disappointed with the food. The restaurant was really nice and clean, including the restrooms. Good music was on while I was there and the service was great. Hostess/server was very friendly and quick, which is the only reason it wasn't a one star review. But the food just plain missed the mark. I had the tri-tip and brisket with Mac & Cheese and potato salad. Tri-tip was dry and lacked flavor other than what I assume was charcoal lighter fluid. Brisket was decent, out of the 4 bites from those 2 slices. Potato salad is hard to mess up, so no complaints there, but I've had better Mac & Cheese from fast food joints.

3 meat combo. With tri tip, brisket, and pulled pork. Mac and cheese and corn.

5 stars for speed, flavor, and mac & cheese magic! Ordered the 3-meat combo to go, and they had it ready so fast I half expected them to have a time machine in the kitchen. Service was top-notch--friendly, efficient, and they didn't judge me for my excitement over barbecue. Now, let's talk meat. The tri-tip? Absolute perfection--so well-seasoned it could've given a TED Talk on flavor. The brisket? A little on the dry side. Sauce wasn't my favorite but it got the job done. And the mac & cheese? Hands down, the MVP of the meal. I don't know what they put in it (probably just cheese and happiness), but I'd come back just for that. Overall, solid BBQ and a great experience. Would definitely return--probably for another round of that mac & cheese.

We spotted this hidden "BBQ" restaurant behind all the construction on Cactus and Rainbow. This location had a much loved "country Cafe." Hopefully the owners can live up to the heritage here. I will edit my review later as we only had breakfast and have yet to try the BBQ. Some updates: They have changed their menu to have BBQ available ONLY on the weekends, (hence the banner on the corner off the outlying streets. They have a collaboration with the attached bar next door to serve food when the regular dining area is closed. So this leads to some confusion. The door hours state one thing but the new hours are different. They are open at 11 AM, not 8 AM as advertised. I hope they get this confusion solved. I digress, on to the food. My wife & I ordered breakfast and it was surprisingly good. She had biscuits & gravy and the overall taste was really good, (Much better gravy vs Cracker barrel.) The portion was massive! *They could save a few bucks and not serve so much. I had pancakes & bacon. The pancakes were again massive and delicious. The bacon on the other hand was a fail. It seems they have changed from some premium bacon to what is known as "Rolled bacon in a can." This is what cheapo restaurants serve and it was as thin as paper, (see photo.) Not good. But again, the pancakes were outstanding, (*Served with only sugar free syrup...Strange.) The coffee was "ok" as I am a coffee snob. Could improve. The cook/waiter was delightful and kudos to the owners for hiring him. Ambience was good, clean and well lighted. *We did ask for the TV to be turned off as it was hanging over our heads and was a big distraction. I get what the Owners are trying to do here but the lack of signage and the construction in the lot is a major camouflage for this place. The previous menu had a complete different set of prices and specials. Like all the local restaurants, the vendor prices have risen considerably. However, if the BBQ is really good then the price is a great deal. For now, "Off the hook" is a good place for an after 11 Am lunch or brunch meal. *Before 11 Am you are relegated to dine at the bar next door and as much as this could be a convenience option, the smoke smell at the bar is overwhelming. Nice option, but pass. I am looking forward to trying the signature Tri-tip. If you are local and are on the fence about trying this place, please go there and see for yourself as the food appears to be on the "Better than most" side. *my reviews are unbiased and critical. Honesty is paramount in my reviews.

So big fan of BBQ and while I enjoy some of my go tos (Ex. Mama Bird), there can never be enough good southern style BBQ. This place popped into my newsfeed a few weeks back and I had been meaning to try it out so I made my way over on a Saturday afternoon and found the time to give them a shot. This joint is located in the southwest corner of Vegas and its near an area that is still in the process of fully developing. The joint is attached directly to another "bar type" establishment and it looks like they share aspects of the facilities. There is enough parking in the lot and the inside of this joint itself fits around 10 tables or so with a few outdoor patios seating as well. The service in here the entire time was super friendly and they were super efficient with the food. The one thing to note is that they probably have certain meats as they gear up for prime meal times to showing up at any time does not guarantee all the meats are available. We were fortunately in luck for this visit and the only item that was not available was a chicken. We decided to order the fried pickles for an appetizer, and two of the "2 meat" combos with one being brisket and ribs with mac and cheese/coleslaw and another combo with mac and cheese, mac salad, and tri tip and sausage. We ordered a few beers which they bring over from the other restaurant that is attached as they seem to have that relationship. The food came out pretty quickly with the service remaining stellar. The sides were good... liked the mac salad and the coleslaw... I will say I like Mama Bird's coleslaw a tad more as it infuses apple into it. The mac and cheese was good and stock standard. The fried pickles were perfectly fried... light/airy and of course the ranch was perfect to compliment. The Ribs were good and so were the brisket. Lots of fattiness for those who love it but if you are the type to want a balance, then these might be a bit fatty for you. With this said the marinade on the ribs were good without being "too saucy" and enjoyed the flavors and preparation. I still liked the flavors and the homemade BBQ sauce had a tad of kick to it (nothing severe) that cut through some of that. The Sausage was good... enjoyed it thoroughly but the star of the show was definitely the Tri-Tip. Ton of flavor.. and the rub was fantastic.... And was surprised how tender it was also. This place is definitely good, and it will be added to my rotation for sure. Glad I was able to check this place out and will be making more visits over the coming weeks.

Stopped by after seeing a new restaurant pop up near our neighborhood. We tried the 3 meat combo for lunch 23,99 only and more than enough for the two of us. Sausage and brisket were both tender and delicious, sausage had a bit of a spice kick which we love. The baby back ribs could have been a little more tender but was also nicely flavored. Their homemade sweet bbq sauce was nice but we hope they also add more variety of sauces in the future. All in all it was a nice change from the previous restaurant. read more

Randomly came across this spot on our way home and we decided to give it a try. Right off the bat, the staff was friendly, restaurant was clean and menu had great options. Food came out quickly and the portions are quite big! We loved that. Everything not only looked good but tasted just as good too! Wow! What can I say! Off the Hook is off the chain! Came here with my wife and daughter on a Sunday. The waitress that greeted us was super nice. I didn't get her name but she had brown/blonde hair. We ordered the 3 meat 2 side combo and it had bbq ribs, brisket and tri tip. The ribs were so moist and the brisket was just so juicy . The seasoning on the trị trip had a bit of lime and it was a good zest. The meal fed the both of us so just know the portions are huge. Highly recommend this place. They know how to do bbq right the price was very reasonable! Will be back! read more

Food was great! So tender with perfect seasoning. We each got our own meal and had so much leftovers. The only thing is they forgot to give us a toast and we didn't realize it. So please kitchen and servers, check for the toast. We will definitely be back! We loved the food so much my husband was inspired to make his own bbq at home (but decided it was not the best tasting and will just go out to eat for bbq lol) If you show up at 8pm you have to eat in the bar. So come early if you want to dine with under age 21. My husband and I went to dine in but had to move to the bar. It was okay as we had some drinks. read more

The food here is sub par it's definitely not Texas barbecue bring your checkbook in a very large pocket of cash because if you get a decent plate it's like 50 bucks and that sounds including drinks or any of the sides it's very expensive I know barbecue takes a lot of time to cook but good Lord I mean you need to rob a bank to see it at this place read more

We ordered a family style dinner for take out. The ribs are delicious falling off the bone with a little bit of a kick. The chicken thighs and tri tip were also great. We tried the macaroni and cheese, potato salad Mexican corn all were great! The only thing I would have liked to have been part of the meal was bread. read more

The ambiance, food, and service is memorable. The items on the menu I indulge in the most are the curly fries, ribs, and the mexican street corn. I'd suggest looking into the combo platters. But everyone has their preference. It's my second time visiting the establishment and many more to come with others. The location is also convenient for me in distance. There was a hiccup on my bill being overcharged. Luckily it was resolved and they admit to their miscalculation after I left and contacted them. I appreciate the honesty. Maybe in the future, itemized receipts are implemented instead of just the price on a screen (cashless payment). Just incase one of either parties detects an error. The restaurant is family owned and menu items are homemade. Overall, I recommend Off the Hook BBQ and I hope everyone has a satisfying experience. read more

My husband and I are originally from the Bay Area and we have had a hard time finding legit good bbq until now. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. Highly recommend the ribs and the pineapple cake. The chicken wings are delicious too! Will definitely come back! read more

I used to come here before and stopped coming for a while for personal reasons but ever since change of management this place has gone downhill. Definitely won't be back and they shouldn't have him as manager. He doesn't even know what he's doing. read more

It pains me to have to write this review. I ordered the. BLT $17.00 thinking that I can't go wrong with a BLT and fries boy was I wrong. On the menu, it says the BLT comes on Texas toast, that is not the case. It was regular white sandwich bread toasted, no mayo, dry, with two strips of extra crispy bacon. I had to toss it. However the gentleman that is working was very pleasant and has great customer service. I chose this over the barbecue because I did not want to be disappointed.... I was very disappointed AND IM STILL HUNGRY!!! read more

Food review One thing we liked about his place is they have like a sample platter ( not what' it's called) Brisket was juicy and good flavor Tri- tip was tender and good. Chicken - good flavor Baby back ribs- good and seasoning was yummy. Had a spice to it. Sausage was good. No bbq sauce needed on any of the meats unless you prefer it. Street corn- was good Mac n cheese - good Chili beans - not a fave of ours so can't really say anything bad. Cole slaw - good. We want to go back to try the pulled pork. It wasn't ready when we ordered. Great food. Enjoyed it. read more

This was my first visit, but definitely won't be my last. The service here was great, and the restaurant itself was extremely clean. I was quickly greeted upon entry, and seated almost immediately. Being my first visit I decided to sample a few different things. The first thing I tried were the chicken taquitos, I can honestly say they were some of the best chicken taquitos I've ever had. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the outer shell was perfectly cooked. The avocado crema, green salsa, and pico de gallo complemented them perfectly, I would come back for those alone. For the main course I ordered the 3 meat combo plate with 2 sides. My choices of meat were brisket, tri tip, and the pork ribs. The brisket was good, but the tri tip was the star of the show for me. It has that perfectly seasoned smoky flavor you crave and come back for. The pork ribs were also excellent. The meat comes right off the bone as you would expect when tasting quality smoked ribs and the flavor was spot on. The chili was tasty and the potato salad was pretty good, perhaps just a tad too much pickle flavor for my tastes but generally good. The Apple pie was exquisite and really has that homemade taste. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner during my visit and he seems like a great guy. This place is family owned and everything is made from scratch, including the desserts. Would rate it a zero if I could, don't believe me? You will if you go. I should have known when the restaurant was closed on a Saturday and there was a note on the door saying to order take out from their restaurant next door a the bar. I had 2 terrible experiences recently.. both occurring last week.. my friend and I came in for food and waited over 40 minutes for order to go. No exaggerating! I truly thoughtit was a once off situation. Unbeknownst to me I had to deal with the actual managing partner... no problem on the surface. Both of my interactions displayed as severe disdain for Customer Service and lack of appreciation. I was never offered an apology - only pushback, and a combative attitude. I had an opportunity to interface the owner and quoted "hi I really like your food yet last time it took a little bit longer than normal to get my food" instead of an apology I was met with an arrogant reply of "no it didn't happen like that" no apology no effort to retain customers. Clearly, this person is an absolute rookie to this industry and for that I will never come again. They literally have no clue on how to take care of their customers and the people that pay the actual bills around here.... MORONS!!! read more

The food is edible, but not great. We got there at 10:00 am. Since they open at 8:00, I figured the bbq would be fresh. Not so! Since it was our first time, our party ordered brisket, tri tip, ribs, pulled pork, and sausage. For the sides we had potato salad, mac n cheese, chili, cole slaw, and curly fries. We also ordered the chicken taquitos appetizer. The food was just mediocre. The brisket (which I was really looking forward to trying) was cold -- like it was leftover from yesterday and they reheated it, but it was not fully heated through. So we stopped by Off the Hook last night at 815. It's right down the street from my house. We walked in, and as the sign says, "wait to be seated!" A few minutes go by and nobody comes to seat us. While we wait another group comes in behind us and we all wait another 5 minutes. As I looked around I notice people who are already seated waiting for service and they are all shaking their heads. We see some workers in the back and they finally notice us, but don't they come out to seat us, no they don't. We all just walked out eventually. Horrible way to run a restaurant. read more

a good BBQ spot in Mountains Edge ... not yet. Portions were poor at best for the price and the price was horrible to say the least. The brisket was not great, a bit dry and missing that good smoked flavor. I did not see the BBQ's outside running and I have never smelled BBQ when driving by so it makes me wonder... The Tri-Tip was FIRE! Some of the best tri-tip I have had, if it were a bit more affordable, I would go get it again. The sides tasted store bought and their portions were very small. 1 small bag of food was almost $200. Nothing in this location where they opened has lasted, everything closes and I assume this will sadly fall to the same fate with the pricing and portions. read more

Found this place while looking for new BBQ in Vegas! This is real good stuff y'all! Kansas City boy here, and the Q is legit! The customer service was kind and friendly! I had the 2 meat combo with 2 sides. I chose ribs and Tri Tip. My sides were fries and slaw. It took about 10 minutes for my order. The slaw was sweet, peppery and maybe had some dill in there. It was wet, yet still crunchy. The fries were battered and fresh. The tri-tip, YUM!!!! A very distinct taste and cooked perfectly. The ribs tasted great. My only suggestion was that they precut them before serving! I'll be back to try more stuff!!! read more

Service was very poor during our first and will be our last visit. Drinks were never refilled until requested. Had to ask for napkins THREE times until they brought some over. They claimed all their deserts were homemade from scratch- literally saw the owner buy the exact same fruitcake from Sams Club a week later. Their meat was extremely dry and barely edible. Would definitely not recommend anyone to try this place. read more

We ordered the pulled pork wonton tacos as an appetizer--definitely order these if you come. The wife and I each ordered the two meat combo with two sides. We ordered the tri-tip/baby back ribs and the brisket/baby back ribs. All fantastic. You can't go wrong with their sides either. We ordered the Mac and cheese, curly fire, and potato salad. This BBQ place is delicious. They have a great selection of different bbq combos. From their pulled pork to their brisket and the ribs... everything is sure to satisfy. One of my favorite sides is the mac n cheese!! So bomb! All the servers are super friendly and super attentive. Both Daija and Sara are always making sure I am having a great dining experience. Great atmosphere and multiple tvs for sport games. This place is a must try. Try it once and I promise you will keep coming back. read more

Full disclosure, I was offered a free dessert to leave a review of any rating. That said, I'm happy to leave 5 stars. The brisket was juicy and flavorful. I didn't need to use bbq sauce for it. The sauce had good flavor with a nice kick. The bbq is good and you won't be disappointed, but I think the tritip pizza is the hidden gem. It is so hard to find good pizza in Vegas and I'm so excited to find a place that does it well. I will definitely be back. read more

Awesome atmosphere and wonderful food! Sara suggested the taquitos and they were bomb! BBQ used to be Fri -Sun but now it's 7 days a week! I got the tri tip, sausage, and brisket. Meat was fall off the bone and sides had great flavor well seasoned elote. Even if they're closed you can order at the tavern next door and have your food brought there between beers. This is amazing food. I've had the sliders. I've had the cheese quessaddilla. I've had the taquitos. Tried the Tri-tip and ribs and recently had them do some tins for my company. Everyone at my office said this is some of the best barbecue they've ever had, so I'm happy they opened up. You gotta try this place it's absolutely amazing read more

Not good at all. Glad they're closed. Their all of their food is not fresh at all. All of the meats are stored for days on end and microwaved for order. read more
