I really wanted to like this little boutique hotel, but unfortunately, it just didn't live up to the previous reviews. The only positive thing about this hotel is it's sleek and modern design and decent breakfast (although, when we booked, it said breakfast was included in our rate, and come to find out it wasn't and was 19€/person). I've traveled all over Europe, and used to all kinds of accommodations and having funny things happen, but there were just too many with this one.
Over a 4 night stay, so many things happened and went wrong, not to mention a pretty rude hotel front desk staff. The front desk lost a package of ours that we had tracking confirmation on and no one took responsibility or charge of trying to make it right and actually locate it.
The location is off the beaten path, so you should expect anything central to be 20-30 minute away. This is also an area where locals like to gather down by the river late at night. Every night there was partying, music, DJ's, marching band, etc. through the early hours, so don't expect a quiet evening.
Because the hotel is literally a boat, it's very creaky and every morning at 7am there was loading and unloading of goods, so don't expect a peaceful night or morning. A false fire alarm also went off for about 20-30 minutes and no one said anything about it.
The room itself is nice in theory, yet really only able to accommodate one person (unless you like staying in a cruise ship cabin). There were no overhead lights or main lights for that matter, it was an incredibly dark room. Only 2 outlets too, so that can be a problem for most. The WiFi was incredibly spotty and difficult to connect. The toilet is in the shower and there's only a shower curtain that separates the bathroom from the bedroom, so if privacy is a concern, you don't really have any.
I would go to this hotel for a drink, but staying here would not be recommended. Since it's relatively new, hopefully they can take care of some of the small things that would make a big difference. read more
