This company at Denver Colorado has excellent customer service, they are very knowledgeable, understanding, compassionate, and very caring. Plus they have, in my opinion, the best dog trainer named Gustavo. I chose the boarding program that comes with lifetime refreshers. This lifetime investment is worth every penny given the amazing results I keep having with each dog I take to Gustavo. My journey with OFF LEASH K9 TRAINING began when I chose them after extensive research on the best company to train our first two huskies at Colorado. Everyone had told us that huskies can't be trained because of how stubborn they are. People would call us crazy for even owning TWO HUSKIES. Our life was a mess because we couldn't build the communication ourselves. Thank God we got Gustavo as our dog trainer to prove everyone wrong. He built a clear communication between us and our dogs. Which has led everyone to turn around with amazement to watch our dogs have an excellent recall upon hiking. To have an extended down when going out for a coffee or to walk next to us when going to the stores. Happy with the results, once I moved to Texas I recommended my family, living in Texas with their two yorkies and a husky, this company. The results were off from what my two huskies had with Gustavo at Denver Colorado. Which led me to drive TWENTY HOURS to give Dracarys, the new member of our family, the opportunity to be trained by Gustavo at Denver. He trained Dracarys to be calm, obedient, patient and to follow all the commands diligently plus he also gave me a refresher for the husky trained with off leash in Texas. Gustavo is fluent in English, Spanish and he happens to be a dog whisper as-well. He explains how the dog thinks and acts in a very easy to understand manner. He has well organized thoughts which has led me to be able to instruct my dog on what it is that I want from him without creating any confusion on the dog. He gives you the confidence to be able to ask questions. He is honestly a great choice for your dog. We sent our 7 month collie pointer mix to the 2 week board and train. He was treated like family and came back trained just the way we wanted (off leash ready and listens to commands quickly). Stevie our trainer was amazing. Her and our pup got along great. She kept us up to date with videos and photos which made his absence at home easier. Although we missed our pup everyday we are happy with the results and wouldn't recommend training your dog anywhere else! read more

I adopted a 7month old German Shepherd who was full of insecurities and would react in negative ways. Yvonne has been very knowledgeable and inventive as to what I can do to better her in a positive/ structured way! I am doing the basic package and only 1/2 way through it I have noticed my dog changing for the better. She is making better decisions and thinking rather then having a snowball affect toward things that frighten her! Still have a couple more training sessions with Yvonne and I can tell my dog enjoys them! I now have completed the basic package. It's amazing how in just 4 weeks Lady Sansa is such a happy and confident dog! I was able to take her to the dog park with her listening to my every command. We just finished the basic obedience package (4 private classes) with Derrick and Stevie for our 5 year old Vizsla, Peanut Butter. I have nothing but praise for Off-leash K9 Training! I am completely amazed at the transformation of our girl in just 4 short weeks. Prior to training, she was an overall sweet dog that listened to commands about 50% of the time. However, she was a very nervous and timid dog. She was afraid of random things (like the garage door) for no reason at all and would get into fights when off leash around other dogs due to her insecurity. We were hesitant to use an "e-collar" and even wanted to quit for a brief moment after the first lesson because we were afraid we were hurting her. Turns out, we are so happy we stuck with it!! She loves the e-collar (it signifies structure and reward) and has broken all of her bad habits. She's no longer afraid of the garage door and plays confidently with other dogs. She responds to every single command I give her just about perfectly and has even been able to walk off leash heeling by my side with every step I take. We weren't sure if it was quite in our budget to do this training, but in the end, it was worth every penny! The confidence we have when she's off leash is a great feeling! In Denver there are a lot of canine trainers in the area to choose from, so for me narrowing down a canine trainer that was going to work seemed a bit daunting at first glance; that was until I found the Off Leash K9 South Denver location. When I found the Off leash K9 Training South Denver location, on paper the training program fulfilled all of the criteria I was looking for in a training program. After giving the program a chance I can say without a doubt I am very happy I chose Off Leash K9 Training, my experience with them has been excellent. What I have learned from the Off-Leash K9 program is that it works, it is effective; you will certainly see measurable results in the positive behavior your dog exhibits, I did in my dog. I chose the basic and advance training sessions as opposed to the 2-week board and train program, which would have been great too. I opted for the basic and advanced individual training sessions because I wanted to be immersed in the training experience. Keep in mind, with this option you have to be invested and committed; but then again that is part of the dog owner experience. If you are invested the training sessions speak for themselves, I can't see doing better than what Off Leash K9 offers. Regarding my trainer I had the pleasure of working with Yvonne at the South Denver location. Being a K9 trainer is a calling, at least it should be as this career is certainly something most people can't do, let alone do very well. Yvonne has answered her calling...her passion and dedication to the canine training profession is evident, she's great! Yvonne's training methodology has been perfected to excellence, and her approach is a natural one; she's calm, flexible, highly proficient and the way she trains makes sense...the ability to communicate your expertise is a skillset in and of itself. Yvonne not only trains the dog, but she's up to the task of training the dog handler (me); which is an absolutely essential part of the canine training process. The Off-Leash Training program is unique, effective, and finely tuned. I trust my dogs with Off Leash Canine and that is not something that comes naturally to me. We enrolled our dog Chaplin for the Board & Train program and it is by far the best decision we have made. He needed help with reactivity to wildlife, greeting people, learning how to properly walk on leash, among other things. We reached out to a few other places but they were not available or simply never returned our calls. The customer service at Off-Leash K9 Training was amazing. I was able to make an appointment to meet Stevi where she went over all the different types of training programs they have available. We decided to do the 2 week Board & Train because it included all commands, exposure to real life situations, unlimited refreshers for the lifetime of the dog, as well as any amount of extra lessons needed. On top of that, the e collar is also included, which at other places it can be an additional charge. During the two weeks Chaplin was there Stevi sent videos and photos every single day so that we could see his progress. Then when we picked him up she spent almost three hours showing us how each command worked and what to do in every possible situation. We then took him home and he listens to every command we give him. Walks on heel perfectly no matter where we are. And the best part? He has completely stopped chasing squirrels and rabbits. Being a puppy, I was skeptical he would learn this fast, but it only took her minutes. My girlfriend and I put our Black Lab/ German Shepherd (Boomer) through the basic obedience classes at the Denver location. Our dog was not good at listening at all once outside or on a leash. Derek was our trainer and over the 4 classes our dog is so much better. We can actually take our dog to parks, lakes, mountains and trust him off the leash. These classes are one on one and fantastic. We will definitely be taking our dog back for the classes. We just finished basic obedience classes for our goldendoodle, Toby with trainer Sarah. Within a week of attending class, Toby was coming when called and sitting for up to three minutes. These lessons have given me, as a dog owner, more confidence with our dog, and have allowed us to have more fun together outside off-leash without having to stress out about him not coming when called. In addition, Toby loved going to these classes and adored Sarah the trainer.
