I found a few cute items that I was going to buy and was standing looking at some dresses on a rack, when one of the employees with a name tag that said MIA accosted me out of nowhere. She said, "Did you touch that dress?" She was pointing at a dress to my right on a different rack than the one I was looking at that was hanging half way off of the hanger. I responded no to her smiling and said thank you but I am not interested in that dress. Then she got very aggressive with me and said, "If you touched that dress and it's not hung up correctly then you should make sure you put it back right." I had no idea what she was talking about, I never looked at nor touched the dress. Then it occurred to me that she was implying that I was inconsiderate towards her, which was crazy since I didn't even do anything, but let's say hypothetically that I did. I have worked at numerous clothing stores and would never start yelling at a customer for not hanging up something correctly. I would just fix it because it was my job. Anyway, she continued to come after me with an intense look in her eyes and I was very uncomfortable, so I left the items I was going to buy and texted my husband to meet me at the front of the store. I told one of the employees at the front what happened and he just stared at me and said, "Ummm there's the manager." The manager he pointed to was an older man in a disheveled outfit and gruff demeanor, I think his name was Vincent, and when I told him what happened he said, "Well I wasn't there so I don't know who said what or what happened." I was absolutely shocked by his response. I was clearly shaken up and he made no effort to hear me or make me feel better. It was kind of shocking, I mean, this is the level of professionalism that Nordstrom Rack has with its leadership and customer service? It is a joke. At a minimum he should have apologized and attempted to make me feel better. I HAVE been a manager and I would have apologized to the customer, would have said I would speak to the employee, and that we value your support of our store. It's obvious Nordstrom Rack at this Danvers location could care less how they run the store (which is always a mess), or the people they hire. This was a hugely disappointing experience. My husband and I have always spent a lot of money there, but they have lost us as customers.

My real complaint is the cashier I had. I had a Visa gift card I got for Christmas , and was having a problem with it. She clearly had zero interest in helping me, and had a rotten attitude. Come to find out you have to call and activate the card. So, just to move along and not hold others up, I put it on my debit card. Very poor representation of T J Maxx. I had just left Trader Joe's and the young man (who was around the same age as this girl) was so pleasant and helpful. She could learn some lessons about Customer Service from him! I'll stick to the Salem T J Maxx.

I am so glad I listened to her suggestion! She was right when she said they take the time with you to ensure you end up in the right sneakers for your feet and walking style. The second I walked through the door I was greeted and helped by a very friendly associate. After asking what I was looking for, he had me roll up my pant legs, take off my shoes, and walk a few feet. By this, he was skillfully able to determine what type of support I needed for my feet. He grabbed a pair of sneakers for me to try on and walk in on the sidewalk outside. He was able to gauge that these shoes would be a good fit, but even offered to grab a few more for me to try. I was very happy with the feel, style, and brand of this pair, so felt pleased. An additional bonus: there is plenty of parking in parking lot. I am so happy to say I can enjoy my talks again in comfortable and supportive sneakers!

This place used to have quite a variety of Gothic fashions for men and women in here and I have found it to be incredibly minuscule. Other than the shoe section, I have never seen so many shirts that represents Salem in the store and barely anything else. I would come in here and find a ton of horror. Movie shorts, funny shirts, nice dresses and tops for women and etc.. Needless to say I was not impressed. I would hope that things are going to change when it gets closer to the October season, but they used to have things like this all year round which is very disappointing that they did not have the things I was looking for during my visit again.

First, contrary to written policy, the manager said that I had to have the original tag (on a belt) and then said that they could not look up my purchases using my card history. Of course she was able to do so at my insistence, and then told me that it was not returnable due to not making the 120 day deadline. She was abusive to me, rude, and not looking to solve the problem. I called Capital One and voided the card, but you will never find me at Kohl's again after this unpleasant experience. If she had not lied to me and been so rude, I would have been happy to just purchase another belt. However, I will never be treated this way again.
