Never thought I'd be leaving a five star review for a rest stop, but here we are in 2020!
During the pandemic, the thought of hitting the road brings with it plenty of anxiety... Not the least of which is where to safely make a restroom so along the way. So, so grateful that nature chose to call as we were approaching this rest stop.
Vending and restrooms are in different buildings. I passed several available garbage cans on my way into the restroom building. When I got to the exterior door, multiple signs reminded me that everyone needs to wear a mask, maintain distance, and remember to wash hands (yay, hygiene!). And then when I went to open a door, additional signs encouraged hitting the auto open button with an elbow instead of touching anything with my hands (be still my heart!!).
Restrooms were stainless steel clean, with enough stalls for the two people in there to keep their social distance. Sinks and hand dryers were no-touch, and while the soap dispensers were manual, they were stocked with soap and posted next to signs explaining how to properly hand wash.
Awesome job, Ohio! Hope they keep the maintenance of this stop up. Five stars, will come again. read more
