I looked around and there was a guy sitting in a teal food truck. Never ones to pass up free samples, we went over to see what he had to offer. Turns out this lil truck was selling gourmet, locally sourced, organic ice cream! We tried a couple of their flavors, including Bourbon Banana Crunch, Roasted Pistachio, and Riesling plumped cherry + goat cheese. The best one by far was the Riesling cherry one, which had cherries soaked in Riesling wine mixed with a vanilla ice cream made out of goat's milk. So fancy! Other flavors on the board included Marscapone Chocolate and Crafted Wild Vanilla Bean. A Double is $4, and it's 2 large scoops of ice cream in a cup. You can also get it in a waffle cone. If you want a larger serving, it's $6. But the $4 size was more than enough for me, the ice cream is very rich. You'll want to split it with someone for sure! I got to talk to the owner and it was his fourth day open! He said that he had been a chef for about 11 years and he seemed pretty excited about his business. I had trouble finding it, so I asked someone on a picnic table where the location was and it happened to be the owner, Shaurir. He was super nice and advised my friend and I about what they had in stock and what was out of stock. I was apprehensive about trying the Kaleidoscope because of the "marshmallow" flavor in it, but Shaurir stated that it tasted like a watermelon jollyrancher so I was sold. It was a good decision and the drink tasted amazing! The second drink I tried was the windsurfer. I think this is ultimately my favorite. I love coconut and this drink had white tea, blackberry and coconut in it. I would definitely recommend checking this place out and can't wait to come back!
