This is the slowest, least organized, worst staffed, least professional plasma clinic around. I've been to most and in multiple states and have never waited, on a consistent basis, over 3 hours to get through. It's not a charity. It's a for profit business that is going to sell your plasma to companies that make therapeutics. It's not going to burn victims. However, it's not like they're asking you to donate for free. They pay a nice chunk of change for just sitting there with a needle in your arm. It's also semi automated so there isn't very much that can go catastrophically wrong. Only complaint is it's under staffed so wait times are really long. read more

Just wanted to post this to balance the insane amount of negative reviews. I'm a normal dude so I had normal expectations and I read up before hand. As a first time donater it took about 2.5 hours to do all the processing and stuff. Then an hour to donate. ALL of the staff were courteous and they only use actual phlebotomists to take your blood. Everything is clean and sterile and they pay pretty well. Be patient and bring a blanket because it's July and was like 60 degrees in there. read more

I've been donating with Octapharma in different locations and cities for years. This location is the worst I've ever encountered. They are constantly changing management, they have had an almost 100 percent turnover in the past six months. They are always understaffed. You're supposed to be in and out in about two hours, if you come here, you'd better count on at least four to five hours. Some of the employees are super nice, but there are some who are incredibly rude! Dee, in particular, is rude every time I see her, to me, to other donors, to fellow employees. They are literally driving donors and employees away. I'd donate anywhere else but here. read more

They need to train the ladies that are sticking the needle in our arms a lot more carefully before they just let them go off on their own to do it !! Last two times I went in they didn't put the needle in right I got bruised really bad and hurt me so I stopped going , and us needing the side money my husband just went in and stayed at 39% for over 40 min because they put it in in wrong once again than came and fixed it my husband let me know all the people the lady did she messed up on them as well Only to get $30 TRAIN THEM BETTER!!! read more

I like this place bc is closed to my house , but some stuff at my first visit give a hard time . I called before I come to find out what to bring etc. They told me to wear something loose so I wear a dress . They denied me , I gave to Drive home to get a shots and they ask denied my drive license bc it was missing a da between my medium name and last name I been used this for 24 years never had any problem any government organization and this Clinic denied !!!!! I have to drive home again second time then they said no I have to have a passport!!!!! It a wine. AWFUL HUMILIATING EMBARRASSING DISRESPECTFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! I unfortunately visited this place just yesterday. I'd a friend with ne that I'd recommended the Octapharma plasma center in Conroe, 2. We arrived a little before 3 pm. Strangely, the doors were locked. Inside of the building, we could see staff members towards the back of the building inside. They were in uniform and talking amongst themselves. Being that I've visited this place many times before, and on the door, as on the internet business site, stated that the hours of operation r from 7am 2 5pm, I was somewhat confused. I looked toward the congregation of employees inside the building, attempting 2 get someone's attention. One of the employees looked in our direction and gave a hand gesture signal 2 indicate that the business was closed. A woman walked out and said that because of the weather, they'd experienced a blackout. The woman was not an employee. At this point, I began 2 ger upset and started saying, as I'm walking 2 my car, how ridiculous this is. There were no signs on the door and none of the employees gathered around in conversation felt it necessary 2 come and let us know what was happening. A simple " we do apologize 4 the inconvenience however, as a result of the inclement weather, we've unfortunately had a blackout. Again we apologize 4 the inconvenience however, we will open back up ?". This gets really bad when I do go back 2 donate. I entered and signed in. I was asked 2 come 2 the back and speak with someone by the name of John. Though I later asked 4 his last name, the employee could only tell me that all she knew was that there was a letter G on the office door. Wooow! So the gentleman by the name of John gets me in an office, accompanied by a woman who's an employee with a frown on her face (I've yet 2 know her name).I'm sat down and ,essentially, verbally attacked!!! He basically was asking me why I was causing trouble and creating commotion, using profanity etc. I told him I did no such thing. The woman in the room said that I was using profanity but when I asked her if she heard me, she said she was told by another employee that I did. My reply was " so the answer 2 that question is no". I told John that I don't use profanity. I was outside and they were inside. Instead of John asking me what happened, recognizing that there was a problem and asking me what could we do 2 rectify the problem, John instead proceeded 2 tell me about how he grew up here and knew everyone important, he promised the mayor that this plasma center would not be like those in Houston. He said, "those centers r where the junkies, drug addicts, homeless and all the people that the city doesn't want". Yes, this is exactly what he said. Who exactly r the people that the city doesn't want, and furthermore who or what criteria determines this? He also told me that he had the right 2 refuse service 2 me. Now keep in mind that all of this was said and done, and I was never asked what happened or 4 me 2 give an account of the "incident" before John's threats, judgements, name dropping and the utmost unprofessional, degrading, humiliating, unwarranted behavior toward me that I've ever experienced in all of my 51 years of existence. Being a man of color, I've had many experiences resembling but not as bad as this one. It's something one never gets used 2. Even in the end after I told John what actually happened, his stance was that he had 2 protect his plasma center not that he would speak 2 his staff about proper public relations etiquette or any kind of apology 4 the way his staff handled the situation or even 4 threatening 2 refuse me service before hearing what happened but a resolve 2 let me know who he was, who he knew and what he would not tolerate. In my opinion, none of this information was not, in any way, necessary, relevant 2 or applied 2 me. What a horrible experience! I was ostracized, vilified and crucified 4 pointing out what I believed 2 be a flaw in this operation. I do have a few names that were like pulling teeth 2 get and will update this review depending on how Octapharma corporate handles this. read more

Honestly f this place. It's a joke. Don't go there unless you want to have your time completely fuckin wasted. I went as a new donor and was there for 4 HOURS because I had to do the new patient orientation and physical. Once I got in the chair they couldn't find my vein and ask me to come back in two weeks. The manager told me that when I come back if they find my vein then I could donate and not have to do the whole process again. Which I was fine with. Well I came back in two weeks (today) and they found a vein! Then they tried telling me that I had to redo the Entire FUCKING physical and orientation again. Which would take another 3 hours. I sure the hell did not. Fuck them. Not professional and definitely don't have their shit together. read more

This is a busy place, when you decide to visit just make sure you have time to spare. Remember there's certain amount of employees an they must stay in ratio. Mr Quincey I must say sir you have an amazing team. I've only had the pleasure of interacting with Devina, Silver, RICCCCKKKY, an D, Ariela and Byron whom have all showed professional. Inexperienced pretentious staff. Its painfully obvious nobody knows what their doing and when they mess up they blame it on you. My bf and I have been donating plasma at Biolife for years with no problems. We were excited that this place was opening in Conroe due to the long drive to 1960 to go to Biolife. We didn't even finish our new donor promotion here because its not worth the pain, damage to your arms, and harrassment you get here. These people have zero customer service skills or phlebotomy skills. They use you as a training service for there employees. Then when they miss your vien and tear your arm up trying to find it and decide its your fault somehow tou get defferred and you dont get paid. I heard a tech telling the guy next to me they will hire anyone you dont have to go to school to work here.We will gladly be making the long drive to a more professional place. FYI at Biolife if they stick you, no matter what happens, you get paid and they don't try to pin the mistake on you. Which by the way would be and is pointless. Octapharma is a lawsuit waiting to happen. read more
