This a comment about Biomat's donor qualification policy. I've been a plasma donor for years, I've donated at Biomat before as well as for other plasma donation companies. I went to sign up again after a long pause in donating, and was told I didn't qualify anymore because I live in an RV park, it's considered "a business" so I didn't qualify. I'm unsure why living in an RV park doesn't qualify a person to donate, many people live like this, I think they should re examine their stance on this. I don't like apartment living, or cohabitating with a housemate, this is an option that many have taken in recent years due to the cost of housing in all of its forms. I've lived like this for 3 years, it's safe, peaceful, has wonderful amenities, and fits my budget. I encourage Biomat to change this one aspect of donor qualification, it seems archaic to disqualify people living in an rv park from donating, it's discriminatory. read more

EVERYTHING needs to be improved! I understand that the facility never knows how many people will walk through the door, but over time, this isn't rocket science. There are days when the wait is reasonable. Other days, they have ONE person prescreening, and 4 people running the plasma machines, even though there are only 4 people having their plasma taken. In the waiting room, prior to the prescreening, there are 25 people waiting! There was no toilet paper in the women's restroom. Either step up and fix it or close the doors forever! LOTS of bad reviews. Go somewhere else if you don't want to wait for 3 or more hours! read more

When you call they say that they accept walk ins however once you get there walkins require an appointment...that's not a walk in. I was told that they would be right with me to make an appointment and after 45 minutes of sitting there I left due to them scheduling an appointment for someone who walked in 30 minutes after me first. Not the way to run a business at all, the customer service is horrible and the workers have no regard for anyone but themselves. I highly recommend The Blood Center instead, super fast and easy process and they're very upfront about their scheduling. read more

Not too sure if I'd be comfortable coming back to this location and I would give credit to the Mexican girl with blonde hair assisting with donors during the time of my visit. As a new donor, your first experience can make or break whether you return for more donations so you'd think it'd be important to them to provide you a positive experience. I'm not even upset about how long it took for the registration piece of it all. A white blonde lady with glasses took me to a room and never returned for the remainder of my visit and I didn't get help until after 30 minutes. Again..not even upset too much about that. It's the time during my actual donation where the wrap on my arm became way too tight for the 2nd time and I tried to flag someone down to let them know and there wasn't a sense of urgency from anyone. One older Hispanic lady looked at me and was trying to get the attention of the younger hispanic girl with blonde hair and she looked over at me while still continuing what she was doing. She wasn't with another donor either. I'm waving at her letting her know I'm the one that needs help because the band is hurting my arm. She takes her time coming over. She stares at the machine while I'm in irritated with pain and I have to ask her yet again "can you turn down the tightness? It is hurting my arm" and she finally turns it down. I told her before she came over what the issue was so that she could immediately turn down the pressure when she got over to me but I did not like the fact that she took her time doing what needed to be done. I was going through processing it was my first time donating. As I waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes. I got called into a room with a Black Dude With Beard Durag and on his phone also with a hoodie. There was also a light skin lady with bun who was they were processing for physical. the lady on computer gives me a paper to answer questions I answered, and then she rudely takes the paper and erases what I wrote and tells me did I read the paper. I told her I read the Binder I told her yes, And then the black dude with beard and Durag/hoodie starts asking me question on if I read the binder or not. As I'm telling them I read the binder they keep telling me I didn't read the binder, and then the lady ask about my father in the waiting room for no reason. I tell her does that have to do with the paper/process and she completely ignored me, Then the black dude with beard and Durag/ hoodie tells me I'm being disrespectful and the lady starts just agreeing with him on how I was being " disrespectful". I say I'm trying to figure out how to complete the process and black dude in the Durag/hoodie tells the lady on computer " I think he needs to come back tomorrow". And I had to step out the room and leave The Grifols Center cause i was getting discriminated against. Not to mind the attitudes of both of them we're disgusting. read more

Eliza was very rude to me and she moved very slow. at 12:40 it was a few of us that got done around the same time and she left and went to help clay and the other gentleman out while she left the short Hispanic lady with black hair (very sweet and patient) to do all of the work when the other gentleman didn't need any help because it was slow. I had to use to restroom really bad and I asked her to help me and she raised her voice and said "WE ARE COMING" I asked her not to speak to me like that and she proceeded to say "I'm just saying". that is when the other lady came and helped me because she saw how I needed to get up really quickly. Eliza (pink haired girl) should Learn that this is a plasma donation facility where we have to stay hydrated where at some points people will have to use to restroom but they have to wait to finish. She needs to learn patience with people and learn to be nicer. She's never smiling or acting like she even wants to be there. Just the other week I complimented her on her new pink hair she didn't even say thank you. I knew then that she is a rude person and this isn't the job for her to be acting that way. 0 out of 10 for ELIZA! read more

This place is so ghetto & unprofessional. The employees are loud & rude. It takes forever to get through their process because the employees are playing & talking to each other & the donors. On my 2nd visit one of the staff was arguing with a donor to where it almost escalated to a fight So what's the purpose of the security guard that's here. This will most definitely be my last visit. I have donated here multiple times over the last 3 months the staff is always friendly and does their best with the situation. This location has recently made lots of improvements including hiring better security and more phlebotomist so things are going a lot smoother. Robert Allen one of the new phlebotomist is very careful and preforms his job with confidence and grace. read more

This place is so unorganized, the process just to donate is a headache. On my 2nd visit I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off because lack of communication. There's no communication with the workers in front, with the medical people, and with the technicians in the back. My experience here has been by far one of the worst I've had. I've never donated before and this place made it to where I will never want to donate again. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, if you have to donate find a different location or agency to go to. read more
