This place is good. The staff are nice but not stuffy, it's about as cool and casual as a place like this can be. One thing they're not casual about, though, is hygiene and safety! They're always cleaning stuff, changing things out, I'm not a medical professional but in my amateur opinion they seem to have a very high standard of care with regard to keeping patients safe. Good technique too, they never take more than one try to get the needle in the right place and so far I've only bruised up once out of the dozens of times I've been here. read more

Let me preface this review by saying that I've been coming to this plasma center since last year with no problems. However, the last few times I've been here, it's been an annoyance due to one of the workers (the one with the tiny bun on her head) being extremely nitpicky during screening over absolutely NOTHING. I understand that people have to do their job and I'm not mad about that, but this is just petty as hell. Just about every time I go to her station and she does the arm check, she would always nitpick and make something out of nothing. The first time, she claimed that I had a bug bite and I kept telling her that I did not see anything and nothing was there and she sent me to medical anyway. I was trying to explain to the worker in medical that there was no "bug bite", but he didn't care and was dismissive. He said "well, she had to have seen something to send you here." I think anyone with functioning eyes and 20/20 vision would know if there was something wrong with their skin. I have red undertones, just like a lot of people do and it's completely normal. The second time, she claimed to have seen a pimple, but again, there was NOTHING there. So she sent me to medical and I was patiently waiting to get examined, but my patience started wearing thin the longer I sat there, especially over nothing. Some time went by and one of the workers let me know that I was good to go without examination. The third time, she tried to do the same thing and nitpick about my skin. She asked to see my arm like 5 times and asked "are you sure your skin is not irritated?" I told her no. Woman, how are you a healthcare professional at this point? That's when it finally clicked in her brain that I have red undertones and she stopped pressing me about it. By this time, I'm already turned off and will no longer be returning to this plasma center. It shouldn't be this difficult to donate. read more

CSL Plasma - What she makes a big deal about. *eye roll* - Blood & Plasma Donation Centers Near Me - Houston, Texas

This is going to be the worst experience I've ever had in my life. I was at the center at 7 o'clock in the morning on a Sunday and they were not open yet. There was a long line outside already. They opened at 7:08 since I was a new donor, I had to wait to be seen to be checked as a new donor. 2 hours later nothing had happened and I asked what was going on and they said it was a staffing issue. Therefore, I left and will not return. read more

I would really think twice before coming here! The managers are worthless. They talk to the security guard more than the people who come in and donate. There is no "Hello, Welcome Thank you for coming in today, how are you?" Quick story time some Manager (didn't tell me what I did wrong or which manager wrote me up) wrote me up for talking to a worker because I was done with my donation and I had to go urgently, because my Lyft was waiting on me! If I was a beautiful woman though they would've done nothing. But because I was a man (Handsome) they deferred me indefinitely. Even the workers don't care, most cant stick only 1 or 2 maybe 3. Be prepared to be here at least 2.5-3 hours up to 4 if busy! read more

Ive been coming to this location for almost a year and normally theres no issues. For the most part the people are very pleasant. However on todays visit i had the bad luck of having to deal with the nurse from hell. She was on a power trip and denied me for a minor healed scratch on my hand. This was not a cut, not an open wound, it was barely a mark at all. She then informed me that ANY marks or scratches regardless were reasons for denial. She also told me that a 32 yr old scar on my fingernail was another reason for denial. To be clear, i have donated at this location at least 50 previous times. I have had to see other nurses before with no issues. In fact, the minor scratch i was denied for today, was seen and cleared by another nurse 2 days ago during my last donation. Im disappointed that this location hires a nurse that doesnt know the csl standards, is rude to customers, and uses her position as a power trip to belittle people. Im seriously considering never using CSL plasma again and finding a different company to donate to. If a customer makes the time and effort to come donate, they should at least be treated respectfully and fairly. CSL should also only hire nurses that are professional and know how to do their job. Im sure there are other complaints about this particular nurse so hopefully CSL rectifies this situation. read more

Do not donate here there are plenty of centers that are honest people. These people Stole over 59.95 from me with their card services. They are rude and will not even help to fix issue. I even called merchant and received case number for csl to contact the supervisor told me he wasn't going to take it. It's not the office it's self it the card and banking service. If you have to use their banking card then you'll be messed over. I waited over a week just to hear from a supervisor and probably wasn't even a real one lying about who they were. Don't go to any of their location. There are plenty of other honest centers that don't steal from people. Literally donating just to be rob by these evil and greedy people read more

It's been 3 months since I started going to CSL on 1960. I always ask for Asia, Priscila or Kelsie to stick the needle I never have an issue with them. They know what they are doing and even though they might be stressed out and ready to go home they will make sure they do their job right and be as kind as possible. You must be really patient to deal with so many people 8-10hr a day lol. Thanks girls read more

Great experience for my first time donating at this location the staff was super helpful

Manager scolded me, loudly and like I was a child, " You will not interrupt me while I am speaking and you will stand there until I am done." The door was open and all the new donors in the chairs and hallway heard her berate me. I was humiliated. I did not interrupt her, she just did not like what I said. No one should ever speak to someone that way in a professional setting. She then continued to glare at me the whole time I was in line and doing vitals. read more

CSL plasma on 1960 is the worst and most disrespectful company in Houston. I went in to have my plasma taken and machine had been acting up the whole time. At the end the plasma bottle was over filling. I told one of the floor workers- a young white girl that the the bottle was overflowing they need to stop it. One of the directors a white male maybe Hispanic jumps into the conversation " you don't want your money!" I then stripped the arm band from around me- not knowing what else to do to prevent the bottle from overflowin. they deferred me and told me never to come back. Never said Mr.Deckard I'm sorry for our machines are not operating right. read more
