With 1 it was not very comfortable & you could feel the wood bellow. The food isn't bad it is just not my favorite. The activities are soooo fun. It's a great way to make new friends & the staff are very involved. Last but definitely not least is the wave pool & slides. The wave pool is sooo fun, the waves get so high! I would recommend the younger kids might need to have a parent with them because the waves get really high & hard! The slide is super fun & smooth so it doesn't hurt, but at the end you will more than likely have a wedgy! The view is amazing & so pretty! At night you can see the stars perfectly clearly & they are beautiful! This was a very nice place.

If zero stars were an option... it would be ZERO! We rented 3 of the family cabins for 2 nights. I…read morecalled early in the day to let them know that we would be seeing a movie and wouldn't arrive until 7:00ish/early evening. Upon arrival, I followed the GPS and signs towards the office because the "family cabins" were not listed on the sign. The office was closed and so we drove to a building that had signs of activity. I was met with the SNARKY AND RUDE manager, Chelsea. She gave me directions (in a very irritable tone) to another entrance about a mile down the road. She was clearly annoyed that we did not see the 8x10 print out at dusk that they posted near the entrance with an arrow pointing towards the woods. Then, she proceeds to tell me that the maintenance man told her that the cabins were filled with a bunch of kids and no adults... my car was the first to arrive (I had a car following behind me) and we had yet to even reach the cabins. So, apparently they have invisible ghost children running around. Car #3 was flagged down by another snarky, annoyed employee because she was also lost. If you are wondering, there is zero cell service so calling one another was not an option. I finally arrived at the 3 cabins with my car and car #2. I inspected the cabins and found they were full of bugs!!! Millipedes everywhere- on the ceiling, stairs, beds.... EVERYWHERE. one cabin even had a bunch of ticks on the inside stairs to the loft. I advised the kids not to take the bags in the cabin so I could go back to the office and find the snarky, rude 25ish year old brat that was already so welcoming. As I pulled up, my other two cars were being scolded for missing the sign and scolding them because we have so many cars?? She says that she has seen way more that four cars... again, more imaginary guests?? She then starts fussing at me and telling me to turn around and go the other way. I try to explain to her that I am coming to the camp office to seek management. She says, well I am the manager. I tell her about the infestation and she (with clear annoyance) snaps that it just happens and sweep them off the ceiling and floor and out of the cabin.... Well, we got back in our vehicles and left the bug infested pit and sought out alternative lodging. A HUGE thank you to High Country Aventures for accommodating our group so late in the evening. We use them every year for white water rafting and they simply are the best people. As for that YMCA staff- you may want to read your company philosophy and perhaps practice what you preach. You were not kind at any point in our limited transaction. If Chelsea dislikes her job that much, she should consider a career change.

If you are looking for a camp where your kids will sit around and play video games and be bored,…read morethis is NOT it. But if your kids love being challenged and love the outdoors, this is where you want them. My son is going to camp here for the seventh summer in a row and there is no place he would rather be. Our daughter loved being a camper here so much the five summers that she came here that she is spending this summer as a counselor. The kids stay busy doing things like tubing on Carter Lake, rafting, swimming, horseback riding in addition to playing amazing tribal games. But there is also a focus on spending time with God and how important that is for us. The counselors and staff are simply amazing. They are fun and full of energy and love and compassion. I could not recommend this camp more highly. It is truly magnificent.

Camp Skyline is a Christian all girls camp located in northeast Alabama on Lookout Mountain. My…read morewife spent many months researching camps that offered a variety of activities including some out of the box that include; Circus, yes, circus including all kinds of high wire activities, manners and modeling, golf, Bible study, cooking are just some. This will be our oldest daughter's sixth year and our youngest her fourth. Sessions are two weeks, not too long and not to short. We have found the staff and counselors really interested in the girls. Skyline is nearly 300 miles from our home and requires an over night stay going and coming but we feel worth the effort. Our girls consider it an important part of summer, they look forward to, they shop for it and they hate to leave when it is over. It has been a great experience for them in meeting and making new friends. None of their local friends attend so they meet girls from other places and learn about their lives. They learn how to live in close quarters with other folks that might be different from you. Costs are in line with other summer camps. We feel our girls are in good hands and will come back better people for the time spent there.

The food is all made from scratch, including all the bread, rolls, buns, and desserts. And it is so delicious. The facility itself is top notch with so many things to do including a great pond that you can zip line into and swing into, a great high ropes course, pool and hot tub and many more amenities. Your kids can attend summer camp here and they also offer family weekends which are a great way to bond with your spouse and kids. Check it out. It's incredible.
