The shower has decent pressure, not always the case in many hotels. There's a coffee pot in the room with a small fridge and microwave. Direct TV with a bazillion channels. Right next door is a small grocery store, Fresh n Lo. The prices are LOwer than any I've seen recently. There's also a gas station, a Dollar General and a Mexican restaurant within walking distance. We were rather far away at the time and had left our dog alone inside our room. Out of now where we receive a call from the owner stating that our dog is too loud and if we do not get there within 5-10 minutes he would literally let it go outside, where it would likely get hit by a car. Hung up right after saying it too, sounded pissed. Anyway we RUSH back there because we like our dog and upon seeing us, he rushed up to us and gets in our faces yelling about how "you signed this paper that states that i reserve the right to kick you out without warning". He told my mom to "make sure he starts being good or i will kick you all out" i suppose he expected me to be completely calm about almost losing my dog. Do yourselves a favor and just stay AWAY!

I arrived on Sept 11, 2026 to find one of the gates to the so called fenced yard didn't work and the stairs to the patio wasn't enclosed. The dogs could walk out ot the so called fence on both sides. The fence was actually a railfoad tie wall and a small fence with gravel. The property has no grass. I spend the weekend walking my 2 dogs in rain and drizzle. I called Morning Breeze to complain and they really didn't care and said they only knew if the listings were accurate if a renter let them know. Do not rent from this company.

It appears to me that what comes with the age of social media, we evaginate. How remarkable to see people quickly return to the Neanderthal stage of human development. I digress. It was a fab trip and the weather was great. The driveway scared me but it appeared different than it was. Getting there in the dark (after 15 hours of driving) made everything appear difficult. Exhaustion! Wooden Indian was a great home. I slept through the footsteps and doors closing the 1st night. It kept my husband up all night. I am sorry I missed it, and I am sad he did not wake me. I knew my sister would let me know she was there. Every time we mentioned her name the lights blinked. The strangest thing of all, my 3.5lb Pomeranian (who cannot do steps) was found on the leather couch when we returned from dinner out. Four of us left the house, I was the last one out.. keeping the two pups from shooting out the door. I know she was on the floor (barking and spinning as she does) when we left. Jeanette had 10 dogs... such a dog lover. I presume Jeanette was holding her before we got back? It freaked the other 3 people in our group out, not me. Les Hatfield sent an email to me 11/7/2020 telling me my reservation was cancelled because someone had booked it back in august for the same dates. Didn't call, dodged my phone calls until I called him from a number local to them. Guess he expects me to just lose my travel deposits and rearrange mine and my family's vacation 7 days before we were supposed to leave on it. He should be fired immediately. If they want me to stop leaving reviews , they can send me a check and pay for my vacation. Until then, I will continue. Jeanette, he did dodge my phone calls. I called from my personal cell number 8 times, no answer. I called once from a Canoe rental shop in Morgantown, he answered on the second ring. Then he was rude and could care less that he was destroying a vacation that I had planned a month in advance. I sent you an email and got no response as well. I had your email address from one of the 3 other times that my wife and I rented cabins from you. No answer either. We can't believe that your employee is so careless that he didn't realize something was double booked until 6 days before we were set to go on vacation. Your cancellation policy is 14 days or we owe the full amount. Well guess what, if I am held to that policy, so are you.

Some of the rooms are up-to-date and have kitchens or others need a little bit more updating. At the end of it all you get what you pay for. It is not a pricey upscale hotel but I would say it's more adequate. My bad experience was the toilet was clogged from when we got in the room and they did not have a adequate plunger nor did they provide services to unclog the toilet. This was upon first arrival and it was pretty late at night. The hotel was fully booked so we couldn't switch rooms of the plunger was garbage. This was just a one time experience. All my other spare experiences have been great with no issues. I've even sent friends to stay here. It's not my first choice but if I'm on a budget I would stay here over most of the hotels.

My group was worried that all we could find was 9 hours away in North Carolina, certainly not feasible for a weekend cabin trip. After searching for days, I stumbled across Blue Mountain Creek and am so glad I did! The cabin is nestled in the woods and is very quiet. There's a creek you can walk to just minutes from the driveway, and there's a few hiking trails not far from the cabin either. The town of Blue Ridge is just 10-15 minutes away as well should you need to leave the cabin, but really this cabin has it all! Pool, pool table, plenty of dishes and cookware, washer/dryer, comfy couches... There's really no reason to leave! Oh, well, if you came to the mountains to explore the mountains then yeah, I guess you might step out for a moment... If you have a large group of people and possibly a dog or two, definitely recommend this place for your cabin weekend. The price was perfect - a bargain, really - and the owner kept in touch and is even helping reunite a friend with his long lost pan that was forgotten in the aftermath of cleaning. Can't wait to come back here again!

The trees and shrubs have taken over a bit and the shade over the pool had the water temperature at frigid at the end of August! The interior is dated and in need of some serious TLC. There was mold in the garage and the ceilings, which also needed some repair. Some paint, new carpet and a really thorough cleaning would help too. There were plenty of TVs, books, games and a pool and foosball table. But several of the TVs didn't work and only the master and living room were connected to satellite. The walk down to the river is nice and the river frontage is a great place to listen to the water roll by but there isn't any easy access for fishing, swimming or tubing. For the size, price and location, this was not a terrible place to spend Labor Day Weekend, but we felt the out dated photos, very cold pool, lack of a hot tub and overall condition will keep us from recommending or a future visit.
