Normally my eye visit takes 1/2 day due to the tests & dilation of the eyes involved. My experience at South Shore eye care with Doctor Flicker was extraordinary. As a first time patient I was assessed on time for my appointment & within 1 hr I had seen the doctor taken a few tests & received my results. I highly recommend Doctor Flicker office as his assistant Ashley & all of the staff was extremely friendly & explained any test they were conducting thoroughly! There were huge chunks of debris remaining in the…read moreeye after the surgery and the haptic was not totally in the sac (i.e the lens was not placed correctly in the eye). When I went to this doctor for follow up, he told me that the debris would go away but such huge chunks could not, I confirmed with another doctor. As a result I had to go to another surgeon who did vitrectomy and placed the haptic in the sac (i.e correctly placed the lens in the eye). Surprising thing is that when the second doctor called Hatsis and said told him that haptic was not in the sac, Hatsis told him that was OK. This is shocking. I would not recommend Hatsis to anyone.

I figured since she didn't know all my details maybe that was a natural order of things. They took my old frames which are really good designer frames and made the glasses to fit them. No additional charge of course but a waiver in case something happened in processing that they were not responsible for your frames. The only problem is the way the glasses sit in my frames doesn't seem to align with my vision issues. I think I waited too long (the statute of limitations I'm bringing them back for adjustment has expired ) and so now I'm suffering with pushing my glasses up and down, depending on what I'm looking at. I might give him another chance, but the service was unfortunately not standard across the board.

After having my baby, I noticed I have very sensitive skin and eyes and have been developing styes. One got so bad I had to actually see a doctor for it. I looked like someone punched me with a side of Quasimodo. It was that bad. My mother-in-law is pretty much the queen of northern Wantagh/Levittown and knows the best when she sees it... so I, of course, asked her for the recommendation. Right away she gave me Dr Greenberg's info. I called in the late afternoon and got the first appointment the very next day. Amazing, right? Too good to be true, perhaps? When I arrived at 7:25, I was the first patient and was taken in right away. The optometry assistant (I work in healthcare and have no clue if that's an actual title- is that what they're called? I'm sorry if I'm completely butchering the entire profession) was SO nice and knowledgeable and quick! You should have seen him typing on his iPad. Fast Fingers McGee. I was then taken to another waiting room and then a different room after that. My only gripe- expect to wait a little bit for the doctor. I was in and out in one hour but, again, I was the first patient. I imagine this place gets busy but as long as I always get an early appointment I think I'll be fine. When I finally met Dr Greenberg, it was like seeing an old friend. I overheard him talking to a different patient and he was asking how her family was. You could tell he truly loves what he does and takes an interest in his patients. As a nurse I know how rare this is nowadays. Dr. Greenberg prescribed me a special type of eye drop and my stye cleared up in two days. This place is really great. The staff treats you like family. It's so easy to get an appointment. And it's literally so clean you could eat off their floors. Color me impressed because ModernEyes did not disappoint! If you live in Levittown/east meadow/Wantagh/massapequa, I highly suggest you use ModernEyes for all your eye care needs.

Fantastic all around!…read more The staff is always welcoming and considerate. There is never a long wait to be seen. The doctors (shoutout to Dr. Nord!) are great human beings all around. The tests they do can be uncomfortable but they make you as comfortable as possible. There is a separate waiting area in the back that's dimly lit for dilated eyes. Plenty of TVs around showing HGTV. The exams can be relatively quick and straightforward. The main waiting area in the front is also very welcoming with hangers to hang your coat. Plenty of seating. Wonderful office!

After a month I called her office to speak with her. Her assistant called me, twice. She wanted me to send photos, that wasn't happening. She wanted me to come to the office. That was pointless, there is nothing she can do and she will never touch my face again. I said what she could do was get on the phone and talk to me. She wouldn't, she hid behind her assistant. So know this, if Dr. Becker treats you and it doesn't turn out right, she will hide and avoid any sort of responsibility for her actions. This is not someone I would want treating my eyes.
