Jenni Leasia Design was our choice. Jenni and her team exceeded all our expectations. We began with a meeting in which they truly listened to us and developed an understanding of what we wanted to achieve in our remodel. The result was a design that opened our minds to even greater possibilities. Their work is creative, meticulous, and professional. They were in continuous contact with us to ensure we understood where we were in the process, could provide input, and have all our questions answered. Realizing I'm not good with a hammer, color palettes or interior layouts I have had to sub that work out to someone that specializes in this sort of thing. There are dozens of interior designers in Portland to choose from but if you want premier quality and someone that has years of experience I encourage you to browse Jenni Leasia's gallery, she's the best!

We hired Ashton to help us with space planning and furniture selection for our beach house in Manzanita. She also helped with the design of some remodeling work that we did. We worked almost entirely during the pandemic. We had never worked with a designer before, but we knew we needed design help with our house. We purchased our house for the beautiful views but the design of the house was not our taste. Ashton has helped us make it ours and it feels like home. She helped us find a great contractor to do the small remodeling project and helped us choosing flooring, lighting and paint color for repainting the kitchen cabinets. She also helped with the design plans for enclosing a loft space into an additional bedroom. It looks like such a different house without spending a lot of money, and her choices were not what I would have thought of but I love. I most appreciate her beautiful taste, but I am also so impressed at how she helped us stay within our budget. She helped us find new furniture to purchase in our price range. And, she also helped us find some great pieces from antique stores at a real bargain. I know that we ended up saving a lot of money working with Ashton - making good choices and finding good deals. I look forward to continue working with her and I hope to hire her to help us with our home in Seattle.

We found many designers have a specific 'style', but Ashton cares most about her client's tastes. She says, "you guys have to love it because you will be living here." Something so practical shouldn't be standout, but it really is! She was transparent about the process and had frequent check ins around our budget. We felt empowered and heard throughout the process. And in the end, she helped us create our perfect space. We didn't think we would be spending quite so much time at home, but we were glad to have a beautiful and comfortable space, especially during stay at home. We plan to continue working with Ashton for future updates, and we can't wait!

FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE…read more What an absolute honor it has been to work with Allison Smith Design again. A few months ago, we purchased a vacation home in Scottsdale, AZ. We knew exactly who we would trust to remodel and transform our dated 1980's home into a modern & inviting sanctuary with an artisan feel. Part of the creative process was sharing my inspiration boards with Allison which allowed her to create a space that reflects and embodies our personality and taste. The architectural revisions she made in the kitchen really opened up the space and provided the open concept we were looking for. Her ability to solve problems when issues arose was quick, effective and intuitive. We absolutely love all the materials, colors, textures and finishes that Allison chose. The combination of the neutral travertine floors against the rich grey cabinets is stunning. The stark white walls allow the dark beams in the ceiling to be the star player. Her attention to detail throughout the home from the paint colors, lighting, window treatments, plumbing fixtures down to the hardware, every detail was meticulously selected to achieve a cohesive, stimulating and inviting space. Allison reinvigorated our home with all new furniture. The combination of supple leathers, textured fabrics, rich woods and unique statement pieces that really give the home an artisan flair. It's not just inside that counts, she also brought life to our outdoor space by creating a serene oasis for us to escape and relax. Allison and her team are incredibly responsive, truly talented, friendly and dedicated to giving their clients not only a beautiful home but a wonderful experience while creating it. I highly recommend Allison Smith Design.

She listened to my ideas and gave me great feedback as well as worked within my budget. She and her team were able to coordinate with our builder and even came up with some changes to the plans that worked even better. Allsion has a great sense of style and color. She managed to turn our home into a cozy and elegant space that reflected the style I requested. She chose the furniture, accessories, appliances, lighting, rugs, knobs, bathroom accessories and other items that matched the theme and mood I wanted. She also added some personal touches, such as a framed print I loved and photos of my husband and me. I would highly recommend Allison to anyone looking for an interior designer. She is talented, reliable, and easy to work and did I mention a dynamite personality. She has a portfolio of her previous work on her website, where you can also find her contact information. She is truly a gem and my husband and I are so thankful we found her!!

We began the process of building a custom-designed home in April 2013, and shortly after breaking…read moreground in June we realized WE WERE IN WAY OVER OUR HEAD! So we went on the search for design assistance, and found Leela & Alissa just in time. Honestly, we would have made one hundred thousand million mistakes without them. For example... (1) We would have designed a kitchen with an oven door that would not fully open (2) We would have had tile installed that was not symmetrical (3) We would have selected dark mahogany floors AND HATED THEM I mean the list goes on, but I feel like those examples show the detail that goes into functional interior design. It's not all pillows and light fixtures here people, these ladies have architectural experience to guide on the topics that you would have had no clue about until after the fact. When they stare you glaringly in the face every day and irritate you to no end. It's important to acknowledge that most builders and most subcontractors really don't care about the details and the over functionality of the design. Which is why when you get into massive home design projects it's key to have a guru who is paying attention to these details. I fully believe that Alissa & Leela are capable of tackling any style, however they really excel at successfully achieving a contemporary modern aesthetic. Which is a perfect fit for us because that's also what we love. So the conversations felt natural and felt mostly easy, and the special touches they suggested were right up our alley. More examples... (1) Concrete poured mantle (2) Cabinet doors for the AV console that are slated walnut (3) A beautiful waterfall white quartz island in the kitchen (4) A low shelf in the kitchen for displaying every day plates, glasses etc (5) Gorgeous custom entry wall paper that is a map of my hometown Their approach is unique. Thoughtful. Clean. Practical. And more than anything, very personal. They actively listened and ultimately helped us build a modern marvel! We are incredibly grateful that we found them when we did.

I wanted to hire someone to meet with me in the space, bounce some ideas, advise me on what was realistic, etc. I was willing and able to pay a high hourly rate for this service. I was also, separately looking for someone to come advise me on color flow throughout the house. Although they did respond to messages and provide another recommended outside designer, I was turned away from getting a consult because we weren't a good fit. They wouldn't send someone to do a consult with me! As an artistic service professional myself, I can read between those lines and I was really put off by the experience. The company has a beautiful portfolio, but apparently do not want to service a smaller residential customer who doesn't have a personal connection or in with them. I can respect "not a fit" but felt it was used as a line with me - boo!

This was my first time going through design/remodel process and Angie did an excellent job with not only her design vision, but also with managing all the project details and communication. I am so glad I had Angie to manage the multiple contractors. She exceeded my expectations with finding a solution to tie the industrial shelves my boyfriend installed into the rest of the kitchen - the tiles are so unique and impress our guests who have not seen anything like it. We LOVE the accent wall which was her vision. It looks better in reality than what we imagined. We are waiting for a piece to arrive before we can finalize the powder room so I don't have pictures yet. However, I am loving it even unfinished so much more than our ugly old clunky powder room. I will be using Angie's services again when I am ready to remodel our guest and master bath.
