I went to Joe last week for my first massage with him. I've been to many different LMTs over the…read moreyears because I like to test out different people because everyone does things differently. To start, the space where you receive your massage is in a very zen, cool space filled with things to help you relax and feel comfortable. It is located inside a mixed use building so there were several points where we heard people talking and yelling during the massage, so that was a bit annoying but not Joe's fault. If you're used to a spa like massage, this is not the place for you. That being said, I've had massages in all different types of spaces so I could get over the noise and still relax. The techniques he used were very unique and many I hadn't experienced before. I felt very loose and relaxed afterwards and noticed later that night I was extremely emotional so massage must have worked out a lot of emotions and built up tension. It was a very relaxing experience and the ambient music was perfect. Joe made sure to make sure I was comfortable many times and didn't talk much during the massage which I appreciated, as some LMTs are chatty when you're trying to relax. He also started off the session by explaining his approach and techniques which I really appreciated and helped make me feel comfortable. I will definitely be going back to him for a second massage when we pull out of the COVID orange-zone.

It may have been her first day because she was working with another person, but I feel that she could have verified what my appointment was so that I could have confirmed prior to me getting the hour massage and thereby having to pay for the full service. Nevertheless, I was still satisfied with my service. I had Linda as my massage therapist. Initially I was worried because I'm about 5'10" and she is about 5' and I was wondering if she would be able to use enough pressure but she did not disappoint!!! Lol she was awesome and I feel so great! I would recommend her for sure. Overall Kona Oasis is a beautiful spa and I would love to come back for more services. The rooms aren't very private and the curtain that covered my room was only half the length of the room so when getting undressed anyone can see your lower half. I have been leaving messages on their voicemail for weeks, and they haven't called me back. So I finally decided to go to their office during their specified business hours, and... big surprise, they were not open! (Is this place a myth?) I left a note and am still waiting for them to call me back (but not holding my breath). In the meantime, I was able to get the $35 credit back through LivingSocial (5 stars for them). I'd advise you to avoid this place if you ever see it on a deals site. There are plenty of legit, awesome places, including The Spa at Park Lane (which happens to provide excellent customer service).

New client came during the session, the masseuse left me and greeted him. As she was in hurry to finalize my session . She started to change the blanket while I wear my clothes.
