This is a small business but he normally have what I need. Very friendly people who works there. Prices are about the same as anywhere else. The hours are great. Parking lot has plenty of room. I can normally get a good deal on sale items.

I'm sad. I'm sad this place isn't in St Augustine, or have a location closer to St Augustine…read more Ever since I discovered this place, I try to add it in when I'm in the area. Unfortunately, I'm not in the area that much, and only once did I make the journey just to come here. What is the draw, you may ask? Great beer, great food, great atmosphere, great vibes! , That said, every meal I have had here has been delicious. The beer is pretty darn good & cold too! Of course, with the long drive...ya gotta limit it. But it's worth it for anything on the menu. I don't know where to start food-wise, I am trying to eat my way around the menu. The gator tail and fish dip are two of my favorites for small bites/appetizers. The Elk burger, the Taphouse burger, and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich are always amazing....and then there's the cole slaw...yummy! Delicious food, and they have more than just sandwiches. The menu offers a little something different. The atmosphere and vibe are always inviting, and the staff is super friendly. The prices are fair, portions are ample, and there is plenty of parking. The decor is fun too! Not to mention, they give a veteran discount with proof of ID. What more can you ask for? Well, I know what I can ask for! To the owners: pretty please, with sugar on top, consider opening a location in St. Augustine. Not in the downtown area, but the folks north of town need something; they need you! Around the Palencia & Kensington area, off US 1 to be exact...or anywhere nearby in that area. The folks there would love something they can walk to, ride bikes to, maybe even use a golf cart to get to...and yes, a short drive is good too. Jus' sayin'! Please just check it out...I said pretty please!

When having my boyfriend and his momma pick me up after a work trip to have a weekend to visit…read morethem, they suggested this location for lunch before we made the drive back to Eustis where she lives. They had mentioned seeing some good Yelp reviews, and the menu looked intriguing. I had already had breakfast at a great locally owned place, so my appetite was smaller. What We Ordered: - Oyster Po Boy: my boyfriend and his momma split this, and they both said it was okay though they HATED the gumbo. Very unfortunate as when splitting they had to pay for an additional portion of it. - Blackened Mahi Sandwich: this was recommended by our waitress who started out fantastic, but ultimately disappeared after food delivered so I went without a drink for quite some time. I did eat enough a portion of mine before running out of coke, so I had to pause eating as I need a liquid as I eat. I had split this with my boyfriend, so he enjoyed his fully warm. Mine was good for those first few bites, and really enjoyed the fries. They remind me of the filmstrip fries you can get in Disney's California Adventure. - Coke + Lime: if the machine is calibrated, this is always a win for me! It definitely made a travel day better. Sadly, between the waitress being inattentive after the food was delivered and there being quite the unsavory show being played, this was a miss for me. Who plays Steve Wilkos in a restaurant? It's the modern day Jerry Springer show. I just find that baffling to be quite honest, though we did get a chuckle at it while I waiting desperately for a refill so I could eat the remaining portion of my meal.

String Sports Brewery is, at first glance, a brewery. But spend a few minutes inside and you'll…read morerealize it's also a quiet tribute to basketball culture, local loyalty, and unexpectedly onion ring excellence. I arrived unaware of its history, but the owner's love for basketball is unmistakable, and the locals reflect that same devotion... not just to the sport, but to the space itself. There's an ease here, a sense that people aren't just passing through. I took a seat at the bar, did what one does in such environments, and ordered an IPA. It was solid... confident, balanced, exactly what you'd hope for. But then came the onion rings, which I ordered based on a subtle but unmistakable social cue: everyone else seemed to be eating them. Reader, they were correct. These were not mere onion rings. These were structurally sound, texturally precise, and philosophically complete. Large, fully cooked onions, no trace of that unpleasant raw bite, encased in a crisp, golden coating that somehow maintained its integrity from first bite to last. Crunchy, consistent, and deeply satisfying. Naturally, I paired them with blue cheese dressing because I'm from upstate New York, and that is not a preference, it is doctrine.

I arrived a little bit later than the rest of my group and they had already ordered several apps for the table. I did not come hungry this trip, so I just munched on the boiled peanuts. They were spectacular. The service was wonderful! The employees were all very engaged with the customers. And what a great place to watch the game! An abundance of TVs and what's better than hanging out with fellow jags fans?! Plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor options. And just a fun place to be. I'm officially a fan now and will for sure check this out on a more regular basis. No pics because I was too busy being blown away by the Jags performance today! Duuuuuvallllll

I mean, yes, there are TVs, and they do serve wings, but they also offer $65 tequila flights. The setting is pretty, although many of the seats are really not positioned to watch the televisions or are not comfortable to sit for very long. Service is very nice and friendly. We started with the nachos. They weren't bad, but they weren't great. The chips were flimsy and tended to fall apart. Also, most of the cheese was unmelted, which was weird. We both had burgers. They were huge, way too big for me to eat more than half. They were served up with a generous pickle slice and a side of crispy fries. They don't have ketchup at the table unless you ask.

The place is small with some tables crammed in. You walk in order at the counter, which is glassed in, and the cashier is behind the enclosure. Ordered two of these with fries. Food was cooked to order and came up pretty fast. Phillys were meat, a little cheese, mushrooms, onions, and peppers. Unfortunately, portions were small, meat and fixings tasted burned, or, like the grill wasn't cleaned. The french fries were hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The Phillys were a definite disappointment and didn't fill our craving. The poor quality and taste was a turnoff, and we won't be back. To be fair, most people were ordering wings and maybe they are better.
