If spending time by the ocean and visiting the various sites around the Oceanside/Netarts/Tillamook region is your priority, you could do much worse than booking a cabin at Oceanside Ocean Front Cabins. We've stayed here twice and enjoyed both of our visits. The cabins are small, clean, rustic. Bed, bathroom, microwave, small refrigerator. Decent enough wifi. Plenty of parking space. What else do you need? The cabins are reasonably priced and couldn't be closer to the ocean, and the manager, Joe, is kind and helpful and willing to go out of his way to make sure your stay at the cabins goes well. Dogs are welcome. We'll stay here again. Great beach, by the way. One of the nicest on the Oregon Coast. read more

From check-in to showering, this place proved a colossal disappointment. Surly management was aggressively unhelpful when recommending we switch cabins (they first tried to rent us a cabin that had no screens but lots of flies). Front steps with staples and nails protruding (we're at the beach; people go barefoot!). A "kitchenette" that was a cheap coffee maker and little else. Water that trickles from the showerhead and runs short of hot pretty quickly. I've slept in more spacious and comfortable tents. No soap. Some people put lodging together in ways that show you they've thought about your comfort. Other people send the message that they don't care about you at all. This place cares less about you than not caring at all. They must actively loathe guests. read more

I wish I'd read the reviews more closely of the Ocean Front Cabins before we booked our place. We booked Cabin 21 for two nights in early August. It looked great online. It had a small kitchenette (sink, stovetop, fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, cupboards), a separate bedroom with a dresser, small bathroom, and a small sitting room. When we got there at the 4 pm check-in time, the cabin was almost ready but not quite. Then I noticed that the cabin's two windows had no screens, but all the other cabins did. The cleaning person told me, "The screens are on order." I tried to call the number listed to ask about changing cabins. But here's the rub- if you have Verizon, there's no service here, even when you connect to the wi-fi. Besides which, she said several of the numbers listed were incorrect. So the cleaning woman called the manager and put me on her phone. If she hadn't been there, there would've been no way to contact management, which is in a nearby town. The manager sort of huffed and puffed at me, told me there is only one hardware store in town and that he couldn't leave his office to get a new screen. He also said that all the cabins are booked "months in advance". But then he said he'd see what he could do. Within five minutes, he called the cleaning woman back to say we could move into Cabin 16, which apparently had not been booked "months in advance." We did move into Cabin 16, which had a coffeemaker and a small fridge, microwave, no kitchenette sink, no cupboards so no cups or plates or silverware, no separate bedroom, no dresser and not even any hooks to hang clothing, and no extra sitting room. There was no soap anywhere, and very weak water pressure in the shower. Cabin 16 also does not appear on the company's website, even though the manager insisted it did. I asked about a price rebate, and after telling me the price difference between the two rooms was only $5, he offered a $75 rebate. That rebate has yet to appear on my credit card account, and the manager has not responded to my text asking about it. read more

The customer service with this place is horrific!!!! I get into Oceanside at 10 pm. No F'ng street signs, no cell phone service, so I park, searched for their WiFi get online, I'm close but no signs for the f'ng place, I start looking for my cabin, no numbers on the cabins, I find what looks like a studio room and doesn't have lights on, peak thru the window no one in there, thank god, went to use the ok box and the code didn't work.. so I had to find a different place to stay. I called the next morning to inform them of my horrific experience and they said they can not compensate me for my missed stay, and that the lock box twists not slides. What never heard that before. That is bull shiz they should've given better instructions a bunch of crap the receptionist was very unkind and deserves to lose her job. She hung up on me as well.... This place sucks!!!! read more

We stayed here recently for the weekend for my birthday. We had a studio on the end. You pay for the view and proximity to the ocean not to spend time in the room. It was very small. If you are above average weight, you might have a hard time moving around in the bathroom. The shower was small, leaking and hot water ran out fast! The parking was ridiculous at check in time. Our neighbor next door said the towing company had already been by three times since they checked in. Our tv did not work, a couple of other reviews on here said the same thing. At least the bed was comfortable enough although the mattress was ancient. It was a quiet night listening to the waves and to cool ocean air. Would have been nice to sleep in past 7am but the walls are thin and you can hear every word and breath. I felt like we were sharing our room with others. For the price we paid I would expect more. read more

Absolutely the worst place we have ever stayed at! We ended up leaving because we couldn't handle the disgust. There was no screen on the window that was ground level, so no opening the window but there is no air conditioner either so you take your chances of having your window open. Standing water under the sink. Black mold in the bathroom. feces and urine in the toilet brush bowl. We took pics and videos and sent it to the health dept. They refunded us for one night! read more

My wife and I stayed for two nights in late June 2025. The location is GREAT! However, the unit (#23) is not as depicted on their site. The site says there is a kitchenette, however there is only a refrigerator and a microwave. No sink or range. The worst thing was the front steps. Their site pictures show a small deck with railing and a cyclone fence. It has neither, the steps are concrete and quite steep with no railing. There is a narrow sidewalk but if you slip you are going to go down a steep bank to the road below. Both my wife and I have bad knees and it was dangerous to go outside. When we checked out I mentioned the dangerous steps and the woman told me they were were aware of the problem and "were working on it"! read more

This place used to be great but has really gone downhill since the ownership change, unfortunately. It seems the new owners just let the cabins go even though they are in need of desperate attention and upgrades. The beds are hard and hurt your back and the cabins always feel damp and wet inside. It's such a bummer because these were our go to spot for years on our family vacations. Oceanside is beautiful with limited options for rentals, but now we choose to pay a little extra to Airbnb just to have a comfortable vacation stay. read more

Birds kept coming by my open door, one sparrow even hopped inside, rewarded with a chip of pizza crust. Fairly small space. The TV didn't work. The studio cabin was clean but the odor of the cleanser was quite pungent. Luckily we had the door open and a fresh ocean breeze to help and cool down the room-no AC. Took a shower right away, the hot water ran out in about 8-10 minutes. The amenities were good, plenty of soap shampoo and coffee with maker. The bed was comfy enough. Parking was a nightmare arriving on a Saturday afternoon, be ready for that. The bad- you have to check in a different location, the tv didn't work at all with very little assistance from the texting back and forth, zero cell service, the cabin was connected to the cafe next door so 7am we heard banging and clanking and shouting. Turns out it's a bring your kids to work cafe. Couldn't turn off the porch light so shined in room all night. Bottom line, for $320 it was definitely not worth the stay. I only recommend if you don't care about any if my complaints. read more

We stayed in this studio cabin, it had one open room with a small bathroom no tub. It included a microwave in small refrigerator.it was perfect for myself and my husband & I on New Years weekend. Pretty outdated however, well maintained well by a very kind gentleman. Lots of dog lovers. Bring groceries with you. You never know what will be open out of the rwo resturants. One only serves breakfast and the other one served breakfast & sometimes dinner. read more

We stayed in tiny little #20 with 2 dogs (16 and 55 lbs). It was cozy and comfortable, a very pleasant stay right on the beach. We look forward to coming back and will try to stay in #18 or #19 with a little more space. Just can't beat the view or the friendly accommodations at this price. read more

These are the 6 remaining cabins from years ago. Quaint, clean, full kitchen, front porch looking right onto the Pacific Ocean. Beach is literally right in front of you. These are old, so don't expect luxury. The price is unbeatable. 1-2 bedrooms available. Honestly one of the best coastal getaway's in this cute beachside town. Locals are friendly. We happened upon Ocean Front Cabins after the first-come first-serve yurts at the state park we were planning on staying at filled up. Initially, we chose this property based on price and proximity to where we were when we got denied a Yurt - it was the most affordable lodging along the coast and was only ~ an hour from where we were. After driving into Oceanside and making our way to Ocean Front Cabins I was totally pleased with how things turned out. The staff were rad, the cabins were well stocked and exceptionally clean (Working as a housekeeping manager, I had developed a habit of inspecting rental properties upon arrival), and the location is second to none. The cabin we had was perfect for the four of us, with plenty of space to lounge, cook, and kick back when we weren't exploring the beach. The town of Oceanside from what we experienced, is quiet, cozy and minimally serviced - we were able to find enough groceries to cook a vegan meal and made use of the cabin's kitchen. If you're looking for a place to stop along the Oregon coast for a few days, this place is great. I hope to return to Portland in the next few years and will make a trip out to Oceanside and stay here again. read more

Great little set of cabins that only have a small parking lot between them and the beach (and Three Arch Rocks National Wildlife Refuge). Cabins were very clean, cozy, and at $65 - a great bargain. They also accept pets for an extra $10, but you cannot leave you pet in the room alone (you knew who was not in there cabins because their pet was in their car staring out anxiously waiting for their owners return). read more

The lowest prices by far with no cleaning fees and a pretty decent ocean view, they work well if you primarily care about being there and viewing the gorgeous ocean and not as much about the ambiance. read more

I came to these cabins with my partner. The lady in the office was a little offensive. She has very little knowledge about service animals and legal rights of the animal and their handler. She wanted lots of proof that the dog was actually a service animal. It didn't matter that he wears a special tag, we had to pull out paperwork to prove that he was a "working" dog. The cabins are very cute. The view is wonderful and your steps from the beach. The rooms are clean and private. The TV is very small but that wasn't a huge deal for us because we were there to be outside enjoying the beach. The beds were a little uncomfortable but not horrible. The town is very cute and everyone we talked to was very friendly. Despite the front desk woman's rudeness we were going to book for the summer to bring our kids out for a couple days. We were told that they didn't have any rooms available for a service animal. I guess we will give our money to another business that is willing to accommodate a veteran with a service animal according to the ADA. Luckily we still enjoyed our stay despite the discrimination. We will go back to that beach but unfortunately will not stay at those cabins. read more

For an ocean view from your bed and a lovely breeze coming through the side window of your little cabin, $65 dollars a night is a STEAL! Shhh..... I shouldn't even be writing this review, I don't want this place to be all booked up next time I want to take a last minute overnight-er to the coast. 24 hours earlier we were scrambling to find a room someplace that would take 2 large sized dogs. Most places wanted over $150 a night and 10-20 for each dog. Here, $65 for the END cabin and $10 extra for the dogs. We had crates for them so they were allowed to be left in the room when we went out for meals, of course we checked first with the super nice management. They couldn't have been more accommodating, we wanted as early a check-in as possible. "How's noon?" She asks. Perfect! The room was super clean for allowing pets, there were other rooms pet designated as well, this room was the smallest of the bunch. The sheets were soft and comfy and the pillows just squishy enough. The only odd thing was the size of the TV. I think it was about 10 inches. No joke, but there was a DVD player hooked up to it. Who needs to watch TV though when this beautiful view is just outside. There was a microwave and fridge in the room, coffee maker and heater. The closet was 4 coat hooks on the wall, that was pretty funny. I wouldn't want to stay in that room for a week, but as an overnight-er, or even weekend it is perfect, especially the location right across the street from the beach. What luck to find this little gem in Oceanside! We'll be back for sure and bring the baby gate for the dogs so they can hang out on the front porch to our cabin. One final note- they have free WIFI!!! That is amazing since I was out of cell service and needed to get in contact with someone. read more

Best part of these cabins is the view & the walking distance to Roseanna's Cafe. The cabins are cute, but very tiny, so tiny that the photos don't do it justice...which was fine because we were only staying 1 night. But my biggest issues were in the bathroom. Toilet paper is behind you & hard to reach, shower is SUPER small and you can't move an inch without hitting something, there appeared to be black mold around the shower inside & out, and if you're about 6 feet tall you will hit your head on the ceiling in the bathroom...because for some reason the bathroom ceiling is lower than the rest of the cabin. Also, TV is about the size of a laptop screen, but at least it's there. Like I said, really enjoyed the views and the area, but could not imaging a long stay here. Went there a few years ago and it was fine. Booked two cabins for a trip in March 2014, for us and family coming from out of state, and called to confirm our reservation 2 weeks ahead of scheduled. We were advised that we only have ONE cabin reserved, a tiny one, not suitable for 4 people and that the other cabin we were supposed to have has been reserved now by someone else. Owner advised he is not responsible for the mistake (more accurately, that we LIED about booking two rooms because they charged a booking fee for one) and it is not his responsibility to make it right. Cancelled our reservation, now waiting to see if they actually refund the booking fee. Owner has not discovered the internet, no way to book on line and they do not send email confirmations. We would have seen THEIR error right away had they sent a confirmation. read more

After many years of friends having satisfactory experiences, first test of customer service dealing with a problem completely failed. My friends have recommended this place for years. I stayed with them in the same cabin before. This time we walked into a horrific burnt burner smell, borderline toxic. We immediately opened all the windows for hours. Never closed them in fact. We also left our front door open for a while. The smell would not dissipate. The first night it was too late to complain as the office was closed. We traveled nine miles to get a natural citrus air spray which helped, but the burnt burner smell continued to remain. Even the bedding smelt of it. Curtains and carpet too. But then a further problem! The shower liner was GROSS! Moldy and hairs stuck to the bottom! The shower I was wanting to take was out of the question. First thing in the morning I discussed with the manager the problems. She said that someone had "burned a hole in a pan" before we arrived! She said she had opened the windows (they were closed when we arrived) and didn't want to spray anything in case we were "allergic"... All I can say is, that if management of a hotel does not have protocol for severe odor issues; or protocol to ensure the burners on the stove are properly cleaned and maintained, then they have no business running the place. There are many odor absorbing methods for commercial establishments and they were obviously clueless about how to handle it. It ruined the two nights trying to sleep. I asked management to request a partial credit or refund from the owner, as the condition of our room was not satisfactory. Also, the burners on the stove were not all functional and we were paying to use the stove! The owner sent the message that we could check-out by 11 a.m. and not stay the second night! Well I had no choice but to stay there, as I was due at the airport the next morning. I was shocked at the complete lack of customer service at the first problem we had encountered since staying there, and recommending the place to all our friends; and being repeat customers.
