The worst dental office I have ever been to. This was my first and last appointment. They gave my daughter and I a "treatment plan" with the cost. The day of our appointments Maria, the lady that sits in the back, told me the lady that did our treatment plan was wrong and tried to bill me for things that were not discussed and things that my insurance wouldn't cover. When I called to discuss the bill I received she was nasty and told me she would not change my bill and that's the way they do business and hung up on me. When I called back to get her name the office put me on hold for well over 10 mins. When I called from a different number I was not put on hold and Maria would only give me her first name. She said they do not give out last names. This makes me believe they get you in the door and then just charge you whatever they want and use a scare tactic that they will just send it to collections and ruin your credit. read more

May have COST ME MY 4 FRONT TEETH!!!! Worst dentist ever!!!!. I had a jetski accident and knocked my front tooth out. I made an appointment to see an oral surgeon, they had me come in at 2 pm the next day. When I got in the room they said they wouldn't have an oral surgeon until the following week. WTF?! They insisted I get an X-ray which I repeatedly declined. I'm asked them why I would get an X-ray if they couldn't do my surgery. I finally followed their orders to get the X-ray. I was on painkillers and not exactly in my right mind, but I was irate because they wasted my entire day that I could have seen a surgeon and saved my front teeth. Worst Dental Office ever I visit. I come for appointment on time, i wait in waiting room half-hour, then they call me in. I wait on dentist chair almost 15-20 min. for dentist. He asks me about purpose of visit and orders an x-ray and disappears for the next 20-30 minutes. He goes to the next patients in other rooms. After that he is checking x-ray and my toots and again disappears for several minutes. Then gives me the wrong opinion and price for few thousand dollars. I spent 2 hours for nothing. Wow!! A big difference on scale compared to their website reviews! Hmmm I went here for the first time because I wanted to replace my denture, which I have had for many years. Of course the dentist wanted to take care of everything that was going on, but I really just wanted to get my upper denture replaced, for now, so it looked better before my vacation. So they gave me 3 pieces of paper which I thought would have a breakdown of costs. NOPE! One huge amount for everything! You know some of us without dental insurance can only afford to do one thing at a time! I guess he was afraid if I didn't like the work he did, I would go elsewhere for the remainder of the work! Awful service! To say that I was shocked by the visit to the Ocean Dental is to say nothing! I am terrified! On October 1 2023 I came to see the doctor by appointment. I came to glue a crown on a tooth that drop down a few days ago. After being checked by an assistant I was long time waiting for the doctor whom ran in the room, quickly put the crown on the tooth on the cement and ran away... I repeat again, I came by the appointment! After some time the doctor came in again and I asked her to fix my bite. The doctor very quickly began to fix my bite , and BROKE my crown!!! She was confused but immediately, didn't give me say anything put BROKEN crown on my tooth on the cement, She just said me, be careful, don't swallow it! And very quickly ran from the room!! And I did not see her anymore!! Now I am with broken crown by the doctor on my tooth!! Moreover I have to do new crown paying a lot of money!!! read more

All I must say is that Rachel, you are not alone in your situation. Back in 2019, I, too, had a similar experience. Whenever I had cavities, usually 1 or 2, done in the past, my teeth never hurt after the drill and fill. I was shocked to find out how many cavities I had. However, in 2019 when the Doc told me I had many cavities, over six. I was shocked, and I was a bit taken back. Something did not sit well with me at all, but I ignored the feeling, sadly. I, too, should not have gone through with nor accepted her opinion. My teeth ended up hurting for well over three weeks, and I ended up calling them the first or second week in. I used to trust the Doctor, but now reading other comments and reading of similar experiences, I rather not. read more

I had a cracked tooth exposing the roots, I called for an appointment and they were able to work me in the next day, I hate going to the dentist but the discomfort over road my feelings, the staff were very caring and professional. Dr Kramer was extremely professional, I just wanted the tooth pulled, he said he could do a root canal but I didn't listen, he tried once more but I said to pulled it, I should have gone with the root canal that I wouldn't have a big open gap. There is nothing more aggravating than being in pain and having someone jerk you around. Having been jerked around by several other dentist I was very specific about my needs and about the treatment plan that was being discussed. This was NO misunderstanding. The office staff is very friendly. The doctor on the other hand either doesn't take the time to listen or intentionally deceives her patients into an endless cycle of visits. So very frustrating. I was wrong there is something more aggravating. You see I didn't recognize the name until today. At the Dr's last office I was told my son needed 4 extractions and 2 root canals, upon a second opinion he had 1 cavity. This is no misunderstanding. This Dr is a crook!!!!!!!!! read more

RUINED MY TEETH. This has been a complete nightmare. I went there for a routine cleaning, they said I had a few minor cavities they wanted to fill. Routine, right? When I left, I knew something was wrong, because I could taste and smell burned teeth for days. Then, for weeks my teeth hurt. And now, months later, every other day one or several of the teeth they worked on hurts, sometimes for several days at a time. If you've ever had a tooth ache; this is the kind of tooth ache where you can't really think about anything but how much it hurts. They also over-filed one of my teeth, so now I bite my tongue when I talk and sing (the latter of which is so bad that I can no longer sing). The worst part is the pain. They just hurt most of the time. I'm trying to find another dentist to try to figure out what the damage is, but there's no denying that I would've been much better off not going here. I should have listened to my instincts. The assistant working with me was horribly, painfully incompetent. Even the dentist got frustrated with her for screwing things up during the fillings. I don't know if it was mostly her inability to manage things that resulted in the teeth-burning, but even if it was, the dentist should have stopped it. Also, the dental hygienist who did my cleaning told me DENTAL HORROR STORIES. Who does that?! I'm an adult, and I'd never been afraid of the dentist. Now I'm terrified. And I'm scared to death my teeth are never going to stop hurting, or they're going to have to get pulled. Also, my friend recommended them. After how terribly they treated me, I'm wondering if the full year of painful gum treatments they put him through were even necessary. Do not risk it. Was told on my initial exam that I had many cavities and needed crowns, etc. To shorten this nightmare (after many thousands of dollars), I had to return to Nevada for a family trip and visited my endodontist who asked me why I had so many new crowns. I informed her that Dr Zulinski told me that I had many cavities and she wanted to also replace amalgam fillings as they had cavities beneath them. In addition, she tried to fill a tooth twice and could not numb that area. Went to a highly reputable dentist here and he replaced temporary filling and numbed me with no problem. He also stated that the tooth should not have been drilled-there was no cavity! So, my next step is to file a complaint with the ADA (American Dental Association). read more

Once he left, the care became mediocre at best. My daughter-in-law needed numerous fillings requiring several visits. In each instance, half of those fillings had to be redone the following day. I came to this office thinking they cared about their patients. Boy was I wrong! They catered to getting me scheduled as a new patient just to rob me. I was told if i had my previous xray & progress notes sent to them I wouldn't be charged for new x-rays. My records were emailed to them & the office staff wasn't able to open the email correctly to recieve them (what kind of office can't open an email) so therefore they charged me for an xray that i did not need. They charged me for a full exam when all the dentist did was literally look at the tooth and said "sorry, but you have to see an oral surgeon". I was charged for her to tell me something I already knew! If you ask me that's robbery!!! I used to see Dr. Frederick Fox, who I LOVED. He was one of the best dentists I've ever had, but then he left the practice. Since then, I went back for facial pain that I thought was associated with one of my teeth. So, a new Dr. there extracted a tooth, she said was infected, and did a bone graft. Long story short--almost $600. later, I still have the exact same pain in my face and I think the bone graft just fell out, shortly after it was put in. Not a very good experience. read more

I was afraid of the dentist until I find this place . Very kind and very professional. Extremely clean and comfortable. No problem with parking what so ever. There are 2 pharmacies one of them is Walgreens but the take for ever. The other one I don't remember the name but is next to them and very private and secure they give you the medications in minutes. So as you can see is very convenient. read more

I have been going here for around 10 years. For the majority, I haven't had any problems but there have been some. I didn't give 5 Stars because of the below: I have had instances when the staff has been rude but for the most part majority of them are friendly. I had been switched hygienist and the lady I had was very rude and I hurt EVERY time I left the office. She is no longer there and i'm not back with Barb who is absolutely amazing! If it weren't for her I would probably go find another dentist office. I once received a notification (text) that I had an appointment and when I arrived they apparently didn't have me down. They were unable to squeeze me in (even though I also had the card saying my appointment was for that date and time) and I had to schedule AGAIN. This has also happened to other people I know. I went today for my regular check up and a cleaning. I had a complaint about my tooth hurting. Dentist looked at it and the X-Rays and didn't see anything and said to get the cleaning and if it is still bothering me come back in 2-3 weeks. She didn't see a problem and I may need to go to an oral surgeon. I felt like my complaint was a bit swept under the rug. My finace just recently went for a cleaning and fillings. His mouth has never bothered him and they insisted they did the fillings. Well now he is having all sorts of pain where the work was done. He has an appointment so we shall see what comes from that. Such a terrible experience. This place just keeps you coming back again and again. Its just about money. I went here once a week every week for TWO months before they did ANYTHING to my mouth. They gave me the run around and kept sending me to specialist (which cost more money and more days off of work) after I told them numerous times I could not keep taking off of work every week and it would be great if they could do as much work as possible during each visit. All I needed was four fillings and one root canal with a crown/post. Over $1100 dollars and several months later I FINALLY have a crown. However this Crown is not permanently in my mouth, they used temporary cement because they cut the crown incorrectly when they made my mold. My crown fell out of my mouth 2 days after it was put in. Also I do not have a post..which they never refunded. Why was I charged for a crown AND post if I never received a post? Why weren't they able to tell from my crown mold that the crown would not be the proper fit? Why do I only have two fillings after several months of them knowing I needed four? Why did I go to this establishment for 2 months straight before any work was done? My father was handling all of the finances from a different state so I feel they really took advantage of that. I feel stupid for even wasting my time with this dentist office. Just terrible. read more

I am so sorry to say the office staff consistently "changes" their story when it comes to money matters, its was embarrassing to hear their story change when they were caught in more then one untruthful statement. We left our prior Dentist strictly because our Insurance carrier changed. We never had such difficulties with our prior Dentist. They made assumptions on work that "needs" to be done before taking x-rays (this statement contradicts the prior Dentist office recommendations). It would be unprofessional to report on all that transpired at this office, but needless to say, never have I seen such a poorly run, untruthful staff, down to the office manager. read more

Beware! I had a terrible experience! They won't protect you from the mistakes made by their dentists or accidents in their offices: they did not protect me. They did not give me my records for months...only the x-rays. When I did receive the records, they were incomplete and missing: safety incident. Not a word about it. They entered the wrong codes for the plan I was using and refused to change them. They offered me a new dentist and then wanted to charge me all over again without performing the agreed upon work at the agreed upon price and when I decided not to go forward, they would not credit my Care Credit account without me signing a release form releasing them from any legal action. STAY AWAY!!!! Oceans Dental Group DOES NOT stand behind the work they do. Their dentist in their office did a root canal on me. I continued to have pain in the tooth but she told me the tooth would take about a month to "settle down". It never did, when I went back the dentist that did the root canal was no longer with them. They then decided that I would need to go outside of their office and have the tooth looked at by another Endodontist. So I did, and it turns out that another root canal was needed. I was told that I would have to pay out of pocket because my insurance would not cover a 2nd root canal on the same tooth. Oceans Dental did not care that I had to pay 600+ dollars for another root canal. Kelly's response to me questioning them about the insurance money was...we did the work so we have to be paid. Even though the work they did had to be redone that was my problem. They offered me 50% of what my out of pocket was for the original root canal ONLY if I used it at their office. So they credited me 100+ dollars. CAN YOU SAY RIP OFF? Oh and I should give credit where credit is due and say that they did at least screw me with a SMILE, yes they were very, very nice about it. They are always polite and very nice cause they know in the end...YOU will be the one that gets the screws. STAY AWAY they will do nothing but take your money and EXPECT you to accept that fact. One question for Kelly, what would you do if your dentist took your insurance money and you had to pay to have the SAME ROOT CANAL redone. Would you expect to get that money back? I chose Doctor Fox from oceans dental because he was in my insurance network. After two attempts at putting veneers on my two front teeth, he messed both up. The first was due to "the wrong color glue." The second resulted in veneers that you can see the cut up teeth through and his response was "likely due to the glue." REALLY? So i asked for a refund and got it but the office now refuses to allow me to have my cleaning done. The first two parts of the necessary cleaning (exam and xrays) were completed by them and I figured they could at least complete the cleaning and I can move on to another dentist office. But they said they reviewed my refund and decided not to let me come in the office again. WHAT???? This office should absolutely have accommodated me to get the cleaning done so I don't have to go through an exam and xray again just to get a cleaning. Shame on them. STAY AWAY...bad dental work and seemingly blamed ME for the mess. read more
