He constantly was looking to cut corners and only completed tasks fully once addressed by us directly. Vincenzo was quite frankly a nightmare to deal with and I wouldn't recommend his services to anyone. Put frankly - would proceed with caution when working with Vin and the gang.

Not only was the price very fair, it was also apparent that Tom knew what he was doing and wanted to ensure the job was done right. We had a tricky driveway that had issues with water pooling in areas, uneven asphalt and ugly blocks along the edge of the drive. Tom clearly explained what he wanted to do to help relieve our issues. Tom and his crew came when promised and were exceptionally polite and hard working. They did exactly as promised and despite parts of the job being bigger than anticipated, they charged us exactly what we were originally quoted. Our driveway came out beautifully and we have gotten so many compliments on it. I would without a doubt recommend Hine Paving to anyone and everyone looking for a reliable paving company.

However when we met with Mike at Modern Painting we felt comfortable from the start. Mike made the process so easy and everything he said he would do, he went above and beyond. His company did an outstanding job on our basement. They transformed 1500 sq. feet of empty unfinished space into a beautiful living area, where we now spend the majority of our time. However more importantly, his customer service was superb. There are a lot of companies in the industry that over promise and under deliver....In my opinion, Modern Painting stands above all others in terms of craftsmanship, integrity, expertise, and service. I highly recommend utilizing Modern Painting for any home improvement endeavor. As we continue to do home improvement projects around our house, we no longer have to look for a contractor....Modern Painting is the company we will use from now on.

The other painter was extremely flaky and we only had two weeks before moving in to get the house painted. We called Mike the night after closing frantic that out other painter "could no longer do it in the two weeks". Mike came THE NEXT DAY. The quote was higher than others by quite a bit, but it was worth it. They painted the hallways, trim, ceilings, closets, mudroom, bedrooms in a 1700 square feet house in one week and it looked absolutely amazing. I am incredibly impressed with the work of modern and would highly recommend them. I never write yelp reviews but he did such a great job!

First project, completed a year ago, was for insulating a single room, for which Dave suggested an alternative to my initial request that cost much less. Chris and his crew completed the work from the interior of the house in a single day, and I was exceedingly pleased with the results. Chris was just as informative and helpful and courteous and friendly as was Dave. My second project, completed last week, was for insulating the entire house with blown-in cellulose from the exterior of the house. As the exterior sidings are aluminum rather than vinyl, this was more difficult and more time-consuming, as aluminum does not bend as easily. In fact, another company informed they do not work on houses with aluminum siding as the risk of damage is too great. But Bennett and his crew were such efficient and hard workers that they completed the job in two days with no damage to the siding. Same as for Dave and Chris, Bennett's information and advice were invaluable.
