The quality and workmanship is top notch, the workers were on time 100% of the time and they were always kind and worked very hard, sometimes 10 hour days. They were supposed to cover all shrubs in the path of the bleach solution and they clearly did not. They were also supposed to clean out the gutter at the end of the roof, and clearly they did not. Like many in 2024 we experienced water in our crawl space basement for the first time; and when…read moreneeding a sump pump installation like many we also experienced dozens of companies price gouging, long wait times, no call backs, too busy, and a variety of non-apologetic responses. So we pumped ourselves out hoping in late summer we can find a company to install a sump pump. Enter Griswold Plumbing Services and Eli. 1. Phase One - Point of Contact: Cold called 4 companies, and no contest, Griswold's office was friendly, considerate, quick to schedule within in days of the call and I knew what to expect before they showed up. 2. Phase Two - First Visit, Inspection, Quote: no contest, Eli and his apprentice Brent showed on time, went right to work, took measurements and immediately provided a quote WITH a detailed and simple explanation of the entire process. Eli was professional, down-to-earth and made everything understandable - honestly it was if i knew Eli, and just a nice person. The Quote was not the highest, not the lowest but affolrdable, provided options (my request) and Eli made me feel comfortable the job would be done right. While I did not have to, nor was i pressured in any way, I accepted the quote and was quickly scheduled. Phase Three, The Job: Eli and Brent arrived as promissed and both NEVER stopped working until the job was done - even when I offered lunch! Eli, who remained in the 4ft crawl space all day, would pop his head out to answer a question or when they were about to perform a "major" portion of the job. I have been in construction my entire life and Eli was one of the nicest young men i have meet. The job was completed in August, the new pump removed remaining water from under/around house and remains working perfectly. As a side Eli took time while on vacation to answer a question, even providing graphics overlaid on pictures we had taken. Thank you Griswold and Eli!

We thought by hiring a well known company for the job and paying a higher price we were sure to get a good result. The first installers installed posts that were not straight, loose from the concrete footings, not in a straight line and never returned to install the wire fence after having a technical problem with their equipment. After several failed attempted to contact them, the second installers came and installed the wire fence but left patched holes, and had not stapled the fence to several of the posts. After more complaints they sent the installers back to fix the fence and they even asked if they could use an old beam they found in our yard to help hold up 2 of the posts. Finally the job was complete, With a lot of our supervision and guidance. We will not be using them to complete another fencing job. Do not be fooled by their 5 star reviews. They do not take pride in their work and you have to supervise them to get the result you had contracted for. Disappointing, but we at least got a fence.
