My parents took their vehicles to Steve for many years, so when I returned to the South Bay, I followed suit when I was in need of some car stuff. Steve gave me the most affordable oil change/check up I've had in years, and got me in and out quickly too. No pitching unnecessary add-ons. He also got a little nail out of one of my tires free of charge on a follow up visit, and turned off my check engine light after I had a battery failure. He treats you like family and doesn't gouge you like most car shops I've been to. Plus his Dodger bobblehead collection is top of the line. There are not enough good things I can say about this place. I was getting a low tire warning on my vehicle and after driving by the dealership, they told me I would likely need to get a new tire as the hole was too close to the side wall. I decided to call Ocean Tire and the gentleman I spoke with told me to bring my car in, and that they can take a look at it within 10 minutes. I did just that and they looked at it, plugged up the hole in about 5 minutes, and then told me there was no charge. It is so rare to get such an exceptional level of service these days. Got a nail in my tire that was leaking air slowly and found this shop close to my place. Decided to check it out because of the stellar reviews. I called because they close at 6 and I was going to be there around 5:45. Super accommodating and told me to come on in. Make sure you drive up Bonnie Brae st and not Ocean as that is where the entrance is. I got there and Raphael got to work on my car almost immediately. I was driving when I noticed my low tire pressure light was on. When I got home I checked my Toyota app and saw it was my right rear tire. When I took a look I found a nail in the tire. By then it was 5:30 pm on a Friday and I knew most tire stores closed at 6 pm. I decided to call Ocean Tire since they were still open and I had used them several years ago. Luckily the gentleman I talked to was willing to have me come by ASAP. Got there around 5:40 pm. He was waiting for me and was able to find the nail, remove it and fix it within a few minutes. I was already grateful but then on top of everything he didn't charge me for the repair! That was a bit unexpected but so very much appreciated! Ocean Tire is amazing! My low tire pressure light came on and wouldn't go off, even though the tire pressure was fine. I couldn't reset the warning light. I went to Ocean and they stopped what they were doing on a busy day to check all tires, all tire sensors, and run diagnostics. Nothing was wrong, but he was able to reset the light and send me on my way. This is the second time I've taken my car to Ocean for something, and I will only be taking my car there for service from now on. Steve saves the day! Yesterday I noticed a sound coming from my rear right tire. This morning I inspected the tire to find that I had something lodged in my tire. I had a meeting this morning so I frantically called to see if I could get my car in to get looked at. Steve told me to come right in, they took the screw off immediately, plugged the tire and added air to all of my tires and sent me on my way! These guys are honest and fast. I came to them also about a year and a half ago because my tire sensor light wouldn't go off. I had taken the car in for an estimate at a large chain tire company in Hermosa and they recommended a whole bunch of repairs that I didn't need. Had a terrible experience here. The ever so charming Steve "helped" Went in for 2 tires he said three were worn out so you need 4 tires. I got a call I need complete Front and back brakes. My lexus has 38,000 miles. When I got home looked at my last year service record from my usual Mechanic. It stated brakes good and may need 2 new front tires at next service. Steve at Ocean tire took advantage of newly divorced woman with no knowledge of cars. As my friend said never tell that to any service person.
