The stance looks much better with the factory rake reduced, and the ride quality still feels smooth and OEM-like. No noises, vibrations, or issues afterward. The vehicle drives straight and handles great. Professional service, quality work, and solid communication throughout the process. Recently, I needed to replace the evaporator core and expansion valve for my A/C, and the dealership quoted me almost twice what JAC did. Since it was such an expensive repair, I decided to give JAC a try, and I'm so glad I did. The first thing that impressed me was the size of the shop. They have multiple service bays, not just in the main area but in another section as well. More importantly, the customer service was outstanding. Whenever I called with a question, Kevin didn't have someone else relay the information--he got on the phone himself and kept me updated every step of the way. When the replacement part they received turned out to be defective, they handled it quickly and made it right without any hassle. Another thing I really appreciated was the complimentary rides to and from my home while my car was being repaired. Maria and Mario were both incredibly kind. Maria mentioned she had recently joined JAC after working as a parts driver for another company, and she had nothing but positive things to say about the people there, which spoke volumes to me. Then, over the weekend, while driving to Orange County and finally enjoying my cold A/C, I started hearing a strange wind noise coming from my convertible top. I thought maybe a seal had come loose, but when I got home and looked under the car, I discovered my engine splash shield had torn loose and was scraping the road. I called JAS right away, and they immediately contacted the parts department, ordered the replacement, and took care of it quickly. I want to thank the entire team. From Kevin, Roger, and Dan to Maria and Mario, everyone I dealt with was professional, honest, and genuinely helpful. It's hard to find a repair shop you can trust, but I can honestly say I trust JAC. They may not give your vehicle a courtesy wash before you leave, but if you're saving $$ is it really worth it? If you're looking for a great place to have your vehicle serviced, I highly recommend giving them a try.

These plastic housings are known to get brittle over time and crack easily, so it was just one of those unlucky things that can happen during a routine service. Since I was already near another mechanic, I had them handle the repair. When I reached out to Pacific Tire Service to let them know, their response was immediate and incredible. They had me come right in and completely covered the entire repair bill from the other mechanic. Any shop can handle basic maintenance, but a business's true character shows in how they take care of their customers when an unexpected issue pops up. Pacific Tire Service showed total honesty, accountability, and genuine care. They earned my absolute trust, and I highly recommend them!

Less than a week ago, I opened a project via Yelp to seek quotes to inspect my car's engine coolant warning. The reviews for both the Santa Monica and Torrance locations caught my attention. But what really stood out to me was Rony's responsiveness. I made it clear in my request I wasn't sure if my issue was rooted in a faulty sensor or truly low fluid. So Rony offered to do an inspection first, instead of prematurely assigning an unreasonable or high quote like certain dealerships/competing shops. Liz over at the front desk was kind, personable, and professional. She set the tone for the shop to be welcoming and easygoing. And while it wasn't necessary, she directed me towards their fridge to grab a drink while waiting. Most repair shops just have a broken water cooler that spills all over. (so this was a nice touch) I'm a naturally inquisitive person. So by the end of my car's inspection and quick/minor repair, I had questions about: - why I saw a specific warning on my dashboard - how things work etc. Rony was kind of enough to pop the hood of my car and explain in layman's terms what he was seeing and the solve. My only note is that the mechanic arrived a tad late past the agreed appointment time. In the grand scheme of things, not a huge deal to me because of the high degree of customer service & efficiency. I also verified by the end of my visit that this is a full-service shop. Consider me a likely returning customer for an eventual oil change. Thanks so much team!

I've been taking all of my cars (Lexus) here for years. I've referred my friends, my family, and recently told my wife to take her Brand New Lexus RX there to get her oil changed due to a scheduled maintenance light. Normally I prefer to do all of the servicing on our vehicles because I am capable and also enjoy doing the work. This time of year is difficult for me to make time due to my work situation, so I told my wife to just take it to Lexology just to get the oil changed. My wife did schedule an appointment and brought the car in just for an oil change. They took her keys and told her they would contact her when they were done. She went walking around the area and was called back a little over an hour later when she was told that she didn't need an oil change, but we rotated your tires and topped off all your fluids and was charged $40. I spoke to manager Leo and explained to him that my wife came in specifically to change her oil. That's what the appointment was scheduled for and that's what was written on her inquiry sheet. I explained to Leo, that if an oil change wasn't needed at that exact time, you should have explained this to my wife prior to touching the vehicle. She would have taken her keys back and had a nice day. Instead Lexology, provided services on our car that we didn't request, which I tried explaining to Leo which he defended by saying "well it's what the scheduled maintenance light was for". I understood his point, but topping off fluids and rotating the tires is something I could have done in my own garage in 15-20 mins and the point was this isn't why we came in and you didn't explain this to my wife prior to working on the vehicle. My other issue is how Leo handled the situation. He said he was willing to make this right, although only to his suggestions which didn't match my request. I only give them 2 stars because I no longer trust taking my cars here after being a customer of over 9 years. If they can't have a simple conversation explaining the services prior to doing work on my car, then I will not be a satisfied customer. I will say, they are honest and do good quality work. They just might do extra work on your car that you didn't request. UPDATE: I originally posted a 2 star review due to this experience. My wife called me at work and said the Owner Mike personally gave her a call to make this right. This alone is the quality customer service I have experienced in the past. All we were looking for was the opportunity to make our own decision on what work we wanted done to the vehicle. Mike understood and agreed. He also offered to credit our account what we paid to go towards our oil change when it was time to bring it in. I recently changed my review to 4 stars, I will leave the choice up to my wife if she wants to take her car back. read more

I am so thankful to have found this shop. I was referred by a dear friend after a traumatic experience with another shop. I have a 1990 4Runner that is my baby. After having it repaired at another shop and spending over $5,000 on a rebuilt engine, I was devastated that the head gasket blew within a week. They offered no resolution for the issues and frankly I didn't feel confident having them do any further damage to my truck or my bank account. When my dear friend suggested Lexology, I was weary, only because of how devastated I was previously by the last shop. Lawrence couldn't stop raving about Mike and Alex. How honest and trustworthy they were, and how they always kept his old Lexus running like a brand new car. When I went in to meet with Mike, he took the time to hear all of my concerns and went over what I could come to expect from them. I left my truck for an estimate, and they called me back a few days later to discuss. I went ahead with the repair hoping and praying that this time would be it. I can't tell you how much these guys exceeded my expectations. I was called any time something new came up, or if it was discovered something wouldn't be necessary. Every step of the way, they were in communication with me. When it came time to pick up my truck I was apprehensive and excited. They took such good care of my baby. She purred for the first time in years. They even washed her and polished my rims. Tears of gratitude is an understatement. They took such care, as if it was their own car. I couldn't be more grateful. They restored my faith that there really are honest mechanics in this world. Mike and Alex, you know how I feel about you guys. I love the work you do, and thank you so much for caring about me and my horrible previous mechanical experience . I will never ever trust anyone but them. 100 stars if I could. First off: I am a self-proclaimed car guy. I usually do work myself, but after moving to LA and not having adequate space, i needed a shop/mechanic to do preventative maintenance. I bought a daily driver, 2001 Lexus IS300 with 178k miles on it. The 2JZ engine is world famous for its reliability and the car is a blast to drive at 220 HP stock, all I need right now. It was a 2nd owner car and i bought it for a great price, knowing I would have to put some work into it. Well, guess what, it pretty much needed it all. And I mean everything; headgasket, timing belt, water pump, belts, fluid changes, brakes, ect...I went to Mike and he did a great job at a fair price. I don't like comparing prices to dealerships because quite frankly, i don't go to stealerships. Mike's price was right in the middle; you aren't overpaying, but your also not paying your "backyard garage mechanic" price. So in the end It was defintely worth it. That plus the great service, quick turnaround, and peace of mind knowing the car would be taken car of was all i needed to be completely satisfied as a customer. I waited over 8 months (12k miles) to write this review just to see how the car held up. Not a SINGLE drop or oil/fluid comes from the car. I drive the CRAP out of it and it starts up purring everytime. I haul ass up to Big Bear, and then drive straight from LA to San Fran. Again, not a single strange noise or anything. I am positive the repairs Mike did extended the life of this car another 200k+. Going back for an oil change this week, so see you guys soon. Thanks again! -Steven read more

Hello All, I heard through word-of-mouth that this was a good place to go to service my Lexus RX330, especially with all these positive reviews. I also got a quote from the Santa Monica Lexus dealership before I went here, so I would know what to expect. I had my car serviced and the work seem decent, but I really have no idea, the mechanic stuff is all so foreign to me. I went to pay for my bill with the gentleman, I believe named Michael? (bald head gentleman) and the bill was the same as the dealership! His reason for this was this was their labor rate, at $90 or 100 per hour, even though the service took much less than what I was being charged. Additionally, he turned very offensive and foul when I politely asked him about the pricing. I noticed several other customers in this place at around my age and so my concern like me, word-of-mouth has driven many people to this location, but without and true rhyme or reason. If you are considering this place, I strongly recommend going straight to the dealership because that level or service will be guaranteed. To all of us, if you want the comfortable waiting room, great service and understanding advisers, simply go to the dealership. This pricing is exactly the same. If you're trying to save some money, go elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend Lexology in Redondo Beach for reliable and affordable auto service. I was recommended to them by a long-time satisfied client and I've become one myself. I've had better experiences at Lexology than with the dealership and the prices are lower. Most of all I can say without a doubt they've proven to be honest and fair and that has been a challenge for me to find in LA. They are also far more detailed and knowledgable in the repair and maintenance of my vehicle than not only the dealership, but any repair shop I've used in LA. The owner, Mike, also takes out the time to educate and answer all questions thoroughly with patience; they are way beyond in customer service as compared to other repair shops. They are also respectful of my time and fix things quickly and properly, the first time, no going back again and again. Although I am a practicing attorney, I used to be a certified aircraft mechanic, and I know a great mechanic and a great shop when I see one. Lexology and its owner and head mechanic, Michael, are the very best! I have been taking my LS 400 to Lexology for five years, after receiving rave reviews from a friend. I am ecstatic with the quality of work that I receive on every visit. Michael is the most knowledgeable and honest mechanic I have ever met! He tells me what services are needed immediately and which ones can wait. His prices are extremely reasonable, MUCH better than the dealer. He even explained to me how I could replace a burned out LED display for $50, for which I would have paid him $400. He took the time to explain how to access the faulty display. I was able to order the display online and do the replacement myself in an hour. Michael and Lexology give old-school service, and I could not recommend them more highly. You might as well go to the dealer for this pricing! I tried this place twice, and both times were just plain disturbing. The promotion of their website for an oil change with 90 point inspection was bogus. I watched Mike change the oil, then have his other mechanic check the oil level and then return my car to me. There was no inspection, even though he stated it was examined. That was the first red flag. The second time, I was charged the dealer price for new spark plugs, and when I questioned this pricing, I was treated with disrespect. I see many older clientele come in and I strongly advise all who read this, to find another shop, because this place is dealership pricing. I've also had a friend ask for a timing belt quote from Lexology that was $1600! This is the dealership price, where you know they cannot cut corners to save on costs. Avoid this place at all costs. Lexology really is as good as it gets, all around. Mayda, in the front, is always professional and courteous to the customers. She takes the time to explain, making sure clients will fully understand needed services and what they are paying for. Mike and Alex have perfected their craft. Completely knowledgeable and helpful with any questions about repairs and never making you feel foolish or rushed. They are quick, on point with diagnosis, and very meticulous. Two of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure of meeting! Not to mention they are way more affordable than the dealer and other local specialists. Total all around package! Mike and his team are always on point with my car. I don't work on cars but know about them and am always confident in what they do for me. I recently bought a GS430, which I love, but it came with a few things that needed to be taken care of. First off the sunroof wasn't working right. The buttons all opened it and the tilt or vent didn't work. They fixed it by adjusting and resetting it. Right rear door lock actuator needed replacing and the car ran a bit hot. The fixes were quick and complete and my car feels like new. There were a few little things that I was going to live with, like the drivers door interior panel was squeaking, no big deal really. Alex there noticed it and reset the interior door panel. Really quieting the car down. All in all, just love working with competent folks. Would highly recommend if you want it done right by people who care. read more

I've taken my RAV4 to Lexology 3x now (two for repairs after being hit and once for replacing my AC filter) and I keep coming back. I can't say it's the best value in the area since I didn't price shop much but I can speak to its great service and welcoming staff. I've primarily worked with Alex, who is friendly, yet straightforward. Sometimes he talks really fast, but you get used to it. Just ask him to repeat himself and he'll gladly do it. The new location is bigger, which means the shop can take in more cars and customers have a spacious, bright waiting room to sit in. They'll work to your schedule the best they can and call you periodically to give updates on the service to your car. I'd recommend getting your Toyotas and Lexus services here! P.S. If you their Lexology license plate frame, you'll get 5% off the price. They put mine on for me! read more

I believe a successful business has to provide its customers the best cost, the best quality and the best service. Lexology covers all of these factors. I have been taking my car to Lexology for service and repairs for the past 3 years. Mike and his crew are excellant mchanics with ASE certification. Mike always makes sure him and his crew are equipped with the latest advances in car (lexus and toyota) repair technologies. They have the latest diagnostic test equipments and tools required for services and repairs. They also have a large inventory of Lexus and Toyota parts at hand so there is no need to wait for parts. I have most confidence in mike and his crew expertise and integrity. Mike is so dedicated to his customer's needs that he delayed his trip to Florida a year ago to work on my car. I'm so happy I have people I can trust with my car. Just had a full service, brakes and struts done on my 2010 RX. The car was in need of a service. When inspected, it was found to need brakes, the pads were about 1/8" left, and the struts were leaking and the accordion rubber cover was torn, so I went ahead and had it all taken care of. First off, I know who touches my car. Not like the dealers who assigns to different techs each time. Secondly the price was a better value than the dealer. Thirdly I was not pushed or sold on doing the work. I understand older cars need more attention than newer ones. The trick is finding a good trustworthy shop to partner in the care of my car. I don't expect perfection or to get stuff for free, but I do expect a shop to give me a good value I feel I got a great value here! read more

I recently purchased a 2013 Lexus RX 350 water flood damage from Texas, upon receiving the car it wouldn't start and after having 3 different mechanics inspecting the car I was ready to give up. That's when I came across lexology, I called them and explained to Mike over the phone my problem and he said "don't worry bring it down and we will take care of it", after reading all there testimonials and talking to Mike I felt very confident and went ahead and towed the car, about a week later Mike gives me a call and says your car is ready. When I showed up to his place and after about 1 hour of talking and meeting some of his staff I have to say this will be my new home for all my car needs and services. The Lexology team must have "therapist" as their second job. I know the teams are experts in customer relations and mechanical engineering. However, they are skilled in helping their clients understand the vehicle challenges and how they plan to thoroughly fix the repairs all while empathizing with their clients' stress levels. Not only is the staff wonderful human beings, but they provide high-quality engineering work. My Lexus vehicles have lasted many years because of Lexology and the Urban Collision Center. I have a 2013 Toyota Landcruiser with a good amount of custom offroad accessories. Lexology and Alex always take care of me and goes above and beyond, even with the odd custom request. They follow up quickly, they fix anything that needs a second round without question, and are always kind in regards to my many questions requests which are often pretty random due to my obsession with overlanding. It's apparent that the pandemic has put a strain on many aspects of our lives, and customer service seems to have wained across the board, but Lexology clearly has a culture of excellence and customer centric service. Hands down the best experience I've had getting my car serviced / repaired. Alex and the entire staff could not have been more attentive and helpful. My Lexus GX460 is less than a year old but I had an issue with the aftermarket suspension that was causing a disconcerting rattle (wish I had used Lexology in the first place). Gave them a call and within 24 hours the issue was fixed with a clear explanation of the problem and solution. No monkey business at all. I would much rather service my car with them than the dealership or another mechanic where you're often going in blind and leaving with a hole in your pocket. Mike and his crew at Lexology are exceptional!! I recently found myself a beautiful "used" Lexus GX470 which I brought immediately to Lexology based on a friend's recommendation. Not only was I greeted like an old friend, I was treated like a VIP! They completed a thorough evaluation of my "new" used car, and then didn't even charge me for some of the "little" adjustments they made to it- only for an oil change! The service is SO personal, and they really took the time to make sure i understand everything they had done- even just "on the house". By the time I left, my beautiful used LEXUS drove like a beautiful BRAND NEW LEXUS!!! I will NEVER go anywhere else!! I love these guys! read more

First off let me start by saying Lexology is hands down the BEST automotive repair dealership I've EVER worked with. Their customer service is second to none starting with Shannon at the front desk who greets you with warmth and is ALWAYS willing to go above and beyond to ensure you're able to schedule your cars maintenance/repairs to coincide with the customer's ever changing timelines.. All the way to the garage, where Mike and his crew are experienced and knowledgeable while always keeping me, the customer, informed on all of my vehicles maintenance needs and repairs. I have always taken my Lexus to the dealer until I realized that my long-time motorcycle mechanic has been working at Lexology. I am so glad I made the switch! I able to get my car in for an appointment right away. They were so efficient, I was able to wait in their lounge while the work was done. The new location is BEAUTIFUL and feels just as comfortable as the dealer without the long wait. The customer service is great across the board from what I have seen, but my guy Alex goes above and beyond! You can trust that you won't get advised to fix something that doesn't need to be fixed and that you will get fair, competitive pricing. I would recommend to anyone! read more

Several months ago, I went to Lexology for the very first time and wished I would have listened years ago to a dear colleague who highly recommended their outstanding service and professionalism. Robert and another employee took a look under my hood and realized it was just an unplugged wire. Anywhere else I know I would've been charged for this and rightfully so. They were so gracious and kind with me even before we realized it was just a wire that needed to be readjusted. For context, I was gifted 20-inch rims on a car that's supposed to have 17s. Sounds cool in theory. In reality, it turned my car into a rolling headache. Lift, spacers, constant shaking, grinding noises on turns, and every pebble in the road felt like a pothole. I went from shop to shop trusting different "experts," throwing money at the problem, and getting nowhere. Then I brought it to Beach Cities Rover. Jesse was welcoming right away. Alex, who actually knows Toyotas inside and out, took one look at my car and immediately knew what was wrong. He got everything dialed in, set me up with the right wheels and tires, tracked down a proper matching spare, and had the 4Runner driving better than it ever has. One day. After five years of nonsense. They also go way above and beyond. Jesse and Steve personally brought my old wheels and tires back to my place so I could sell them. That's not normal service, that's next-level. Big shoutout to CJ too. He's always quick to jump in and help, even when I roll in convinced something catastrophic is happening and it turns out to be minor. What really stands out is how they treat you over time. I actually wrote this review months ago and forgot to post it. I stopped by again today with a brake light out, pulled in unannounced, and they handled it quickly and had me back on the road without making it a whole thing. Same deal if I swing by for something small like tire pressure. They just take care of it. I don't know much about cars. I just want mine to drive well, feel right, and not try to kill me at 35 mph. I'm at the end of my engine break in on my new car and wanted to use Amsoil. I called them and they let me drop off the car to get the oil change. Not only did they do it quicker then they thought, the price was very similar to what i've paid at quick lube places for synthetic oil that was not as good as Amsoil.. The mechanics here feel honest and they did a good job for me. This will be my oil place. I'll try them for other things I need that aren't covered by the warranty too. Very positive experience.
