So for the past few months, when I drive on the 110 freeway, I've been taking the Carson or the 223rd exit. Well this particular day i decided to exit Sepulveda. And as I was exiting I heard a BAM! I looked at my tire sensors and one of my tires went from 36 PSI.... to 30 PSI.... to 16 PSI... to 8 PSI... flat tire for the lose! Boo! Never taking that exit again! Lol. (And sorry in advance... I forgot everyone's name. My bad!!) So the next day, I hit up America's Tire. They took a look at my tire and determined that it could not be patched up. They didn't have my tire in stock, but they could order it from their warehouse in Arizona and it would be at the store in a couple days. So I agreed to do that. They did tell me that they would call me when my tire arrived at the shop, but i never received a call. So around 2pm I ended up calling in and was notified that my tire had arrived. The gentleman helping me made an appointment for me and told me I can bring my car in at 4PM. That definitely saved me a lot of time. Because when I showed up, I checked in, they took my keys, and I feel like within 10 minutes my car had a brand new tire. They even put my spare tire back in the trunk and locked it up properly. I brought my vehicle in for tire service and was told they "couldn't remove one lug nut the traditional way." I specifically told them not to do anything destructive and declined service on that wheel. What they did not tell me is that the lug nut had been damaged during removal and was left only partially threaded onto the stud. They released my vehicle in that condition without notifying me. I only discovered this because I had to air up my tires to the proper spec myself, as they were not set correctly when I picked up the vehicle. While doing that, I noticed the lug nut issue. I ended up driving away with a compromised lug nut, which is a serious safety concern. This should have been clearly communicated before the vehicle was released so it could be addressed immediately. Because of this, I now have to take the vehicle elsewhere to inspect for possible damage to the stud and wheel. I expect better communication and basic safety checks from a shop performing this type of work. read more

The remodeling looks great however, once you pay for you tires you're basically there all day. It takes so long to get your car into a stall to get your tires replaced. It took 3 hours to get my car into a stall another 30 minutes to get it completed. I've come to this tire shop for years and never had to experience this kind of wait time. I understand they have appointments scheduled but if someone doesn't show up keep the line moving. Nobody wants to spend there only off day at the tire shop all day. I had a slow leaking tire that I had been monitoring for over a week. I had a very intense & busy schedule and stopped by to see if they could fit me in. I had a long 500 mile drive ahead of me and the guy gave me a really thoughtful look over on my tires and had me fill up my tires by their line up area and explained how my tires will be fine to get home. He didn't charge me anything for taking 20 thorough minutes out for me. Very kind and considerate place that had over hour and a half wait and many people behind me. The staff is often rude and unhelpful, and the manager in particular has shown unprofessional behavior with concerning undertones in how different customers are treated. On top of that, their warranty promises don't mean much here -- they avoid honoring them whenever possible. I've been a loyal American Tire customer for at least 10 years, which makes today's experience especially disappointing. This morning I discovered a flat tire with a very small pin-hole puncture. I knew American Tire offers free flat tire repairs, and although I hesitated (because "free" often comes with strings attached), this location was close to me, so I decided to go for convenience. I arrived before 9:00 AM and was helped by an employee named Zachary, who was polite and professional at first. When we looked at the tire together, he immediately suggested that it "might not be fixable" and that I might need a replacement. I was very confident the puncture was well within a repairable area and extremely small. That was the first red flag. He then spent a long time measuring the tread depth, seemingly trying to show the tire was near the end of its life. Unfortunately for that argument, it measured 5/32, which is still serviceable. At that point, he appeared clearly reluctant to proceed with the free repair and warned me that the wait would be very long. There were about 20 customers waiting when I arrived, which I understood. However, after nearly 2.5 hours, every single one of those customers had come and gone, new customers continued to arrive and leave, yet my car was never touched. It was obvious my vehicle was being ignored -- most likely because this was a free service. Ironically, I would have been perfectly willing to pay for the repair. But American Tire promotes these services as "free for the community," then seems to discourage customers from actually using them by delaying service or trying to push unnecessary replacements. After waiting 2.5 hours, I asked Zachary for my keys back and went to Pedro's Auto Repair in San Pedro. They repaired the tire in under 6 minutes and charged me $30 -- no drama, no pressure, no waiting. Lesson learned. I will never return to this location. Unfortunately, I've noticed similar behavior with other "free" services like tire rotations, where staff tries to claim the tires are too worn or simply makes you wait endlessly. First time coming here after finding a nail in my tire. I have always gone to Just Tires and went there first, only to be told the tire was NOT repairable and would need a replacement (costing about $440 with installation). Luckily the tire was not in stock so I called Americas Tire and spoke with Nino over the phone who was very friendly and helpful. Had an appointment for a few days later because we had to order the tire. I went with America's Tire because the cost out the door was going to be significantly cheaper ($294 vs $440). Once I got there I met with Zachary who was also extremely helpful and said that it probably can be repaired and that cost would be free. Umm free?! It's not free at the other place so I was like well let's hope so! Needless to say, the tire WAS repairable and was disappointed to know that the other place tried to convince me I need a new tire when I really didn't. Alonzo was the gentleman who helped repair my tire and the service he provided was exceptional. They really have the best customer service there and will ABSOLUTELY come back again. read more

This is my second review for this tire shop, but first review for having all 4 new tires installed.(the other review was for only one tire). I first want to say that they text you the entire way through the process which is great! I would highly recommend making an appointment because this place gets super busy. I got there at 10am for a 10:15 appointment but stood in line until 10:20ish to be helped. The associate said it would take about an hour, but the had me out of there in 35 minutes which I thought was excellent. I was afraid that it was going to be 2 hours or more. The one associate that was doing the work even took the time to walk over to me and explain the process and recommend tire pressure for my new tires. I was very impressed once I was help and would highly recommend this shop to friends and family. Side note: they even price matched a tire that I found cheaper than their price!
