Today, for example, I asked for a battery change, and in addition I got a full cleaning of the case, as well as what I assume is a waterproofing strip applied to the rim of the case. His watch booth is located across from Barnes and Nobles/Starbucks in the Prudential Center. I needed to remove a few links from my designer watch. I was unsure how many links had to be removed but the owner was more than happy to remove multiple links and then re-hook them when it turned out to be too tight on my wrist. 100% disagree with the statement that the staff at this kiosk inside the Prudential Mall is even remotely rude. I interacted today with a lovely older man (I think Mr. Duong). I walked up to him and showed him my brand-spankin-new birthday watch and asked if he could help resize it to fit my small wrists. He immediately hopped up from his chair and asked me to try the watch on. He took a look and said, "two links" and took the watch off my wrist and immediately started working on it. He was gentle, careful and thorough. In less than 5 minutes, the watch fit perfectly and he took the two extra links and placed them in the pocket of the pillow that the watch has initially been boxed with. The charge was $10.00 and was worth it! I will definitely come back here for all my watch repairs! read more

my watch needed a new battery, and it was quick and cheap. $15 for a new battery, not too long of a wait (tho it was only one guy working). range on battery replacement he told me was $10-$25 when I'd called in advance, but I have a cheap-o watch so mine was at the low end. Great little kiosk. I had to get the battery replaced on my watch, so I found these reviews on yelp about Ocean Time and decided to try it. When I walked up to the kiosk, a very nice man took my watch from me with a smile and told me he could do it no problem. It took less than 10 minutes and cost $15 dollars. So reasonable, and it turns out that some of the links on my watch were damaged and were coming apart--he fixed those without me asking for free. I'm definitely going back, and I'm recommending Ocean Time to anyone who needs their watch fixed. Great experience! read more

I was referred to him by the vendor where I bought my nice watch for a simple battery change. It was $30 and worked for a few weeks then completely stopped. I almost sent the watch back to the manufacturer, but tried one more time. I ended up going to a watch repairman in downtown crossing who charged $15 and said that Ocean Time put in the wrong battery. Ugh. Don't bother. Go to DTX where he know what the heck he's doing and it is cheaper! read more

So I am usually a huge skeptic about stalls in a mall, however, Hoai is a king. I have an antique designer watch that needed a new battery. I went to the respective store in the Pru to which the store recommend I go to Ocean Time because it would be faster and cheaper. Boy am I glad they did. Hoai not only replaced my battery but did so with the utmost care and precision. I brought him back two more watches that needed batteries (@ $15bucks a battery how can you go wrong?). I am now a customer for life. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs a quick battery change and even a small mechanical issue. Fast, cheap, and top-tier quality which is tough to find today. These guys are awesome! I have been going to them for years to get my watch batteries replaced. Quick service, 5 min, $15 bucks, good to go. Recently I had an issue with the day of the week and month icons being misaligned on the face of my watch. I brought my watch to them, it took more than 30 min to fix, and they did it NO CHARGE. (Something wrong with the alignment, but looked complicated judging by all of the gears and springs that he had laid out under the magnifying lenses.) Anyways, can't say enough to praise them and their work. Highly recommend. read more

Perfecto - a quick, convenient convenient place to get a watch battery replaced. Near the Barnes & Noble in the Pru. The owner took care in his work, kept things clean (important when you open up the back of a watch) and worked quickly. Mine ran me $20 to replace, the customer before me in line was $15, I'd imagine it depends on the battery, he'll give you the cost before he does the work. There may be a cheaper place to go, I'm not quite sure, but head here without hesitation. read more

Thank you Yelp! for sending me to Ocean Time. I have a clock that I've had for a decade, that I really love, that stopped working. After the extent of my expertise was exhausted (ie, changing the AA battery) I thought it was permanently broken. Then it occurred to me that it couldn't hurt to take it to some sort of watch/clock place because who knows, maybe it can be fixed... and it can, was, and is! The man working at the kiosk is amazing - you know how sometimes it's a joy to watch someone as they work because they are just exceptionally good at what they do? He has all these little screwdrivers, glues, polishers, tweezers, you name it, and they all look the same to me but he knows exactly which one to use where. I was a little nervous when he took out all 10ish small parts of the clock, but after some cleaning and testing he put it all back together and it works!! I have my clock back!! $25 was a very reasonable price. I love this clock and I'm so excited to have it fixed! FYI it looks like watch battery replacements are roughly $15-20, depending. read more

Great, personal service. Getting a battery for your watch takes on a whole ceremony that includes cleaning the crystal, polishing the watch and getting any grundge out of the works.
