During COVID, the items have been sparse, but that's just the name of the game since many people are doing things at home now. The nail supplies section lacks many prices -- most times I need to ask an employee to do a price check. There is good selection in this store. The employees are the worst part. They are nice people and willing to help, but more training is needed. I have had several unpleasant and unnecessarily long check out encounters. 1. The store manager just could not figure out how to scale my Sally's rewards. I had two $5 rewards. After scanning both, she insisted that the second did not scan bc it was the same reward. It was not, and after she played around with the machine, my second code finally scanned. During this, she could not figure out how to take an item off of my order -- I wanted it off bc of the price (not marked and. surprise to me at checkout). She looked at me and said "oh.." -- it was clear to me she wanted me to buy the item instead of figuring out how to take it off the order. I ended up buying the item because i was frustrated with how long my checkout for three items was taking. 2. One employee could not log onto the computer system for several minutes. She kept telling me she didn't know what was wrong. She did not try the other computer they had, or ask a coworker/manager for assistance. She finally realized that caps lock was on. I didn't realize until later when I went to go return an item, that she scanned one item twice, and did not scan the item that I wanted to return. Now, I am trying to return an item that looks like I never bought. A different employee could not grasp that her coworker made a mistake. Perhaps this is my fault, but the item was small so I brought it in my purse when I went to return it (i try to not use bags when i can). The employee asked "so did you accidentally put this in your bag? you want to buy this?" I had already clearly told her that i was returning the item and had the receipt as I was pulling the item out of my bag. I realize bc of the receipt not having the item the whole situation could seem fishy to an employee, however I wish they had some faith in a repeat customer. I am in there often. Overall, I sometimes avoid the store and buy things from other places online to avoid the unpleasant customer service experience.

At no time was there ANY pressure to buy, no rushing to decide, and the whole process was exactly opposite what I had experienced in other mattress stores. There was even a lovely bookshelf with a great selection of books in case I wanted to relax on a mattress and read a bit while I thought about my options. The whole atmosphere was one of calm assurance, never any sense of "hurry up" or of being pushed into making a specific decision. It has a unique small town vibe where I felt welcome and valued from the first moment through the door. The price was surprisingly competitive. No, this isn't your $500-and-out-the-door sort of place, and I didn't want that here. You get top-quality, handcrafted mattresses with an outstanding (10+ year) warranty. They can even adjust the mattress after delivery if I find it needs a bit more or less firmness. Who does that? Seriously, an excellent price point for the quality and support being offered. The mattresses are made to order and mine arrived in about two weeks delivered from the factory in Agawam. The delivery was smooth and efficient, and that first night on the new mattress was an absolute revelation. In my life, I've had many "first nights" when getting a new mattress, but none compared to this one. I look forward to many years of excellent sleep. This morning I had the best customer service experience of my life. About six years ago, I bought a…read moremattress from Yankee Mattress after the one I had bought at a store on Main Street in Greenfield utterly failed. I love my Yankee Mattress mattress. It's exactly the right firmness and sleeping on it is like sleeping on a cloud. And it's so well made! I'm a big guy: 6'5", 290 and it is as comfortable today as the day it arrived. Anyway, about five days ago, when I moved on the bed, it started squeaking. It wouldn't stop so I called Yankee Mattress and left a message. Tom called back the same day and said he would come out to check on it. Well, this morning he did, single-handedly lifting the mattress and box spring. He discovered that the bed frame was rubbing up against the baseboard heater. It turned out that it was the baseboard heater that was squeaking, not the bed frame or box spring--which I had also gotten at YM. Tom then proceeded to install a center support rail to replace my makeshift cinderblock (blush) support. He also put felt pads on the frame so it would not rub against the heater and put some on the center rail. Even though I said I could do it, Tom insisted on remaking the bed, having rotated the mattress. He did not charge me for this. He's remarkable. He's energetic, brisk, friendly, professional--and he's the general manager! As I said, the best customer service experience of my life!

I'm so glad I did! This is literally the most beautiful Marshalls I've ever seen :) it's perfectly clean, perfectly organized, fantastic accessibility of product, excellent selection, and truly wonderful prices. It seems as if this marshals offers the best value of any I've visited, on top of all the other noteworthy superlatives I mentioned. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were very patient with my furniture purchase at the end of the evening. I would recommend this Marshalls to anyone that's able to get here, you absolutely won't be disappointed! Bravo!
