Great bakery, completely underrated in the local area because of the Port Elliot bakery not so far…read moreaway, but more of a bakery than a pie shop. I drop in here regularly when I'm in Victor to grab some of their fresh baked croissants for breakfast the next day - I've even been really keen once or twice and gone and got them fresh that morning, before I've even had coffee. This is probably more dangerous for them than me, I can be a bear without that coffee. Pies have nice flaky pastry, eclairs and honey sticks are full of gorgeously fresh cream - and the donuts are sufficiently sprinkled to get the kids bouncing off the walls before they've even tasted them. The business is cash only - but they've conveniently got a teller machine tucked in the corner so you can get the cash to buy your goods. There is everything here you can think of from a bakery, and it's all good - they do a range of rolls and sandwiches, too, and it's always service with a smile. Parking has just got a little restricted with the centre it's in being under construction with a shiny new IGA going in, but there's still a good amount of off street parking. Drop in when you're here - and try those croissants, they're spectacular.

Worst bakery around for any cakes or cake toppers. Recently…read morebought a $65 12inch cake for a special birthday and it looked horrible. There was crumbs all over it, the writing was half under the border, there were 4 big finger prints in the cream and a massive dent up the top. They charged us an extra $5 for 3-4 strawberries which weren't ripe, covered in blotches of cream, cut into all different sizes and still dirty. There was absolutely no love or care in their work and when we collected it, they had it on a really flimsy board that couldn't hold the weight of the cake and the box was completely ridiculous. It was too shallow so there was no way to cover the cake, it was 3x as wide as the cake so it barely fit in the car and it had jam all on the bottom side so it was horrible. The girls that served us didn't care one bit and wouldn't help us because it was the bakers area and he wasn't there anymore. Unfortunately they're the only local bakery to do custom cake toppers and they're definitely not worth the $15. They don't cut them out, they're blurry and covered in crumbs. I also got told two or three different ways to get them off the plastic which they said they couldn't remember which way was right so I'll just have to figure it out. I will never give them another chance after being disappointed every single time!

I am just a visiter to this beautiful sea side community of Port Elliot in Australia. I was told by…read morefriends that this was the place to taste the local flavor. I was confused by the names of the menu items , but was able to read the description. I first tried a pasty. We do not have these in California or anything that compares to the flakey buttery crust with the delicious fillings. This meat pie was mouthwateringly good. Needless to say I went here a couple times during my visit. I was pleased to find out that this location is mom and pop run for over 20 years. The lines go out the door and down the street when everything is fresh. I was also told I needed to get the kitchnerbun for dessert. This was a huge pastry with whipped cream flowing out of the center. There were so many things to try in so little time. I finished off this treat with a coffee milk. ( see pictures) There isn't much parking, side streets are easiest. There isn't much dining room either, may I suggest the short walk to the picnic tables by the beach to enjoy your meal. The locals seem to just hang out outside and talk while they eat their meals. If I'm ever back in this area again, I will be dining here.

Ahhh, country bakeries why are you so darn good?…read more I have friends who make sport out of visiting bakeries whilst in regional towns to sample their specialities and versions of old standards. It would be easily done if you could put aside the fear for you waistline! This is definately one of the good ones. They are supposedly famous for their pasties but having tried both - the sausage roll is really something else and absolutely huge! There is a little seating outside and some park benches nearby but it's definately no dine-in establishment. Perfect stop for hungry sufers and sunday drivers!
