A lovely surprise down here at Goolwa, small and a sort of nice mix of semi industrial, exposed brick, comfy chairs, welcome staff. Went on a getaway up in goolwa in my aunties holiday house. She said to me if I want amazing coffee, then go to Motherduck. I absolutely do not regret going here!!! The coffee is so tasty and isn't burnt like many other baristas often seem to do! And the staff are so lovely and very attentive to your needs. This place is worth visiting, even if you're in victor harbour or port Elliot, I would drive the distance just for this coffee. My partner got the pancakes and said they were amazing also! read more

What an awesome little cafe in Goolwa. Haven't been to Goolwa for a long time but now we know they have such yummy healthy food & drinks we will be back. Great variety of food. Well, this place was a definite surprise in Goolwa!! This is a trendy little cafe (hence the trendy name), and was packed full ... I'm guessing that both locals and holiday-makers alike appreciate it's quirkiness in a small place like Goolwa! I just had a soy latte, which was delicious - though it took some time to come out, as I think that they are understaffed for the roaring trade they are doing! Luckily I wasn't in a hurry, and I assume that most people visiting Goolwa aren't either. I will definitely be checking this place out again for a main meal next time I'm in this neck of the woods!! read more

Mother duck is a lovely new spot in Goolwa to catch up with friends for a healthy feed and a nice glass of wine. I always have one of their freshly squeezed juices and a vegetarian dish, their specials are always worth checking out too. The decor is a little funky without being rustic and you can sit outside with your dog. I didn't give it 5 stars because there are so many great places on the Fleurieu that serve magnificent food and I don't feel that this place quite lives up to some of the rest. A treat for a regional restaurant. The funky fit out and ethical philosophy hint st a modern and sophistcated management. The key however for on-going success is the food which delivers the goods. Local produce prepared with care. We enjoyed the letuce cups and a curry but could have chosen the whole menu. Waddle in for a great feed. read more
