When I got fully fall on the floor I felt my head dizzy and pain on the bodies ! The security guard whose name is Willa came to help and brought me up and took a stone to let me have a break, he is American, very nice guy! Asked what I need and how was feeling after the incident, meanwhile he called the manager! When the manager came to ask if I need ambulance to the hospital, I refused and talked him about what happened, he didn't say anything about my health situation after the incident, said I was very careless about the steps and the walking issues, nothing about comfort words, that is the manager, a Chinese manager, too bad service and too bad environment with terrible customer service! American people understand how to help me out Chinese manager came to complain about why carelessness! If you met the incident like this what would you feel? We won't come to this store again!

There's no shortage of Asian supermarkets in NYC, especially in Flushing. Customers seeking Chinese…read moregroceries are luckily spoilt for choice compared to most of the country. DC Market (德昌DeChang in Chinese) is one of many places to shop, and they specialize in meat and takeout meals. This location is similar in size to their Chinatown location, though Flushing has more of a rectangular layout in contrast to the long narrow layout in Ctown. Their butcher counter is pretty much unparalleled compared to other Asian supermarkets with the exception of maybe large format Hmarts. DC carries a wide breadth of edible animal products both au naturel and marinated, including more familiar meats such as pork chops, short rib, flank steak, sea bass, running the gamut to less commonly appreciated though edible parts like frog legs, pork lung and hocks, beef tongue, whelk. Marinated specialties like tangerine peel minced beef and pork ribs in pickled plum sauce caught my attention, among many others. The second largest section is the ready-to-eat food section, with items pre-portioned in takeout containers, priced by the container. This area is composed of several counters with a wide selection of steamed, deep-fried, baked, sautéed and stewed dishes, all categories covered--vegetables, meats, carbs, savory and sweet--food items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall food quality is not quite on par with good restaurants as some other reviews mention, though not too bad if you're looking for a quick simple meal. Aside from aforementioned meat, some seafood, and takeout, they have a suitable breadth of fresh produce, refrigerated/chilled, dried and frozen foods. What you don't find too much here are packaged snacks and processed foods, which I suppose is a good thing.

They also carry a number products and brands less commonly found in other Chinese supermarkets. This Skyfoods is one of a few locations, two in Flushing and one in Elmhurst; this one sits on the first floor of the Shops at Skyview on College point Avenue in downtown Flushing. Walking in from the main entrance to the shops this is kinda hidden towards the back of the building. It's nice that it doesn't usually get too crowded. They give free parking in the structure if you shop and buy over $40. What's nice similar to some other larger Asian grocery stores (Hmart, Mitsuwa) is they sometimes do sampling stations on weekends where they showcase a handful of products. My last purchase of a box of Asian pears was because I got to try a couple pieces of sweet fruit so I felt confident in picking up a box. Aside from fresh produce, meat and seafood, dried, canned and packaged foods, they have relatively larger refrigerated foods and tea/drinks and snack sections. See pics of some interesting products. Also for example they carry some instant powdered sweet fruit (jujube, sour plum) teas here I don't find in other places, and for that reason alone I make a trip here every so often.

I'm a fan of Skyfoods in the Skyview Center mall. It's my top choice for stocking up on Asian…read moregroceries. The size of this place is impressive, with a huge selection that really makes it a one-stop shop, for Chinese and other East Asian ingredients. Stocked with a massive selection of Asian vegetables, and fruits that are difficult to find in a traditional grocery store. Greatly appreciate the quality. From fresh, leafy vegetables and mushrooms to a truly staggering variety of snacks, sauces, and noodles, their inventory is fantastic. The dedicated seafood and meat departments are also well-stocked, never saw live eel sold in a grocery store. Being inside the Skyview Center is a huge plus. It's great to be able to hit up BJ's wholesale, TJ Maxx and other stores in the same trip, and the indoor parking garage is a game-changer, especially on bad weather days. Compared to some of the other supermarkets in Flushing, Skyfoods feels noticeably cleaner and brighter. The aisles are well-organized, making it easier to find what you need. Checkout is wonderful, no chatty cashiers, just simple, polite, fast checkout! For a huge, reliable selection in a convenient location, it's a solid four stars. Tip: The hot food section is a lifesaver for a quick and affordable meal. You can get a solid lunch box combo with rice, several dishes, and soup for a great price. It's especially good earlier in the day when the food is freshest. 2nd tip: Spend $40, get 3 hours of free parking.
