Hands down my favorite salon in Santa Clarita. It's a huge salon and after your service you can sit as long as you want and wait for your nails to dry. For several years I went there every 2-3 weeks for Anne to complete both my services - deluxe pedicure and gel manicure- back to back so I spent 2 hours there with her and she would also do a fabulous 10 minute upper back/ neck massage for me. She did such awesome massages and meticulous manicures/ pedicures that I would tip her $30 each time I went. I never would have stopped going to her for my services but when my husband retired I simply couldn't afford to go to a salon that often or tip someone that much so I had to find cheaper alternative. Since then I simply go from place to place and person to person but have not found the same quality from anyone anywhere. read more

My mom and I came in about a week ago at around 6 p.m. I needed a pedicure and she needed a manicure. The girl at the front desk said there was nobody available at that time to help us so she asked us to wait 20 minutes. We decided to go to Ross and come back at 6:20. We waited 10 more minutes until somebody was able to start my pedicure. My mom was still waiting and it was about 6:50ish when they told her they could not do her manicure anymore because they close at 7. If we would have known this beforehand we would have NEVER came back and waited. Then as the woman was finishing up my pedicure she said she was unable to put my sandals on me and I have to buy their 2$ sandals. I declined the offer and she kept telling me I had to buy them. A beautifully decorated salon! I got a regular full set done by T and he did an awesome job! i showed him a picture of the "coffin shape" nails that I wanted and he executed it perfectly! When I came in for a fill, he was unavailable so I got my services done by a different person (didnt catch her name) but she filled the acrylic over my skin and it began to lift pretty quickly. Came in to see T and he took his time correcting the situation and my nails looked great as ever! Great color selection for regular polish, and a TON of pedicure chairs. Kim does an amazing pedicure and does beautiful designs if you ask. Remember to bring cash for tips! They do have an ATM in the waiting area, but it charges extra to process. Awful Pedicure. She was 20 minutes late and then took only 21 minutes to do the worst pedicure I've ever had. My toe nails are crooked, and she barely took a file to them. Went in for a pedicure. There were only 3 other people when I went in and 2 of those were getting manicures. The receptionist asked if I had appointment I told her I did not she instructed me to sit in chair #2. I had to wait 10 minutes before a nail tech came over to me. The tech that was assigned to me was Susan. She proceeded with the pedicure she never asked me what kind a pedicure I wanted nor did she ever start the Jacuzzi in the foot basin. The entire pedicure lasted 15 minutes barely a massage and a quick rub down with hot stones and I was charged $24 for this 15 minute pedicure. I asked to speak to the manager in which the receptionist told me she was not there but her nephew who is second in charge was I asked to speak to him. The receptionist asked him to come over and speak with me however he continued to work on giving the manicure to his customer. Good practice in business is to immediately speak to the customer in order to rectify the situation apparently this is not a need for this business. I am 67 years old. I have wanted permanent eyebrows for a couple of years. I was scared to have them done due to the fact it is permanent. My daughter lives in Valencia and her and my granddaughter's see Melaine for nails and waxing. They love her. So I took the plunge and had my eyebrows done.Melaine was so professional and my eyebrows are perfect. I also was impressed by how clean the entire shop was. Melaine does all types of permanent make-up. I plan on have more done soon since I am no longer scared of the end results. I highly recommend Melaine and her staff. Don't see LY!!! First off really nice set up. However, I was walking by this place with my wife and 3 daughters. Granted it was 6:38pm on Friday night and place closes at 7pm (clearly posted on sign out front of store). Knowing the hours because we do read English we all walked in and was inquiring about pricing for all 4 girls. We were approached by LY and when my wife asked about 9yr old daughter color nails only, LY rudely said what do we want pedicure or what? My oldest daughter 16yr old asked about gel and curious about cost, LY ignored her walked away and told the reception girl "no more people". I asked the reception girl if that lady (LY) was the owner, and she said no. The reception girl was very sweet and gave us brochure and name of owner. Hope your reading this Mel... I had problems with every part of the business; the workers, receptionist, manager, and owner. Please take the time to read this detailed experience I had with this place. This place used to be my favorite. I've been going here for years now, and I've always felt neutral about writing an actual review. But my last experience with this place was absolutely terrifying. I usually get a gel pedicure and gel manicure. I come in at least once or twice a month, but this time made me resent going there for so long. I was getting my toes done, and when I had asked the woman doing my toes, I asked her not to make my nails sharp on the edges (I hate asking them, I feel like they already do so much, the least I can do is be a nice customer before bugging too much). So this was the first issue. She gave me attitude. She sighed and hesitated. I asked politely to do a bit more, because she had cut them with the clippers and didn't file them. Again, another sigh and a quick nod of the head, followed by an aggressive grasp on my foot. I did not ask again, thinking it was a quick fix at home to file the edges if they were too sharp. The second issue was asking her to clean underneath the toes. She didn't understand me, and that's not her fault, so I left it alone and I was followed again with more attitude and aggression. It was starting to get uncomfortable to have her aggressively yank my feet around. The third issue was my most important concern. I told her I had a bit of an ingrown on my toes and hoped she could cut the sides a bit (the reason why I went to begin with) and I just got another sigh and very rude "yeah". Okay, so her first attempt hurt the living daylights out of me because 1. She had not cleaned underneath my nail and 2. She shoved the tool underneath with such force that even my mom had asked her to not do it again. Then she tried it again after we asked her not to do it again, that I was fine. She poked at it again, with the same force. And a third time. I asked her to stop, sternly, after I said it twice before to stop. Once she noticed the anger between my mom and I, she began being way too friendly. She started asking me questions about my mom and I and her age and such. I finished quickly with an ugly set of toes and painful nails. Now, I paid 80 dollars for my gel pedi and mani alone. I also paid for my mom's, which isn't a problem because this place used to be my favorite. I left a message with the receptionist and she told me I'd get a call the next day or so. Latest at the end of the week ( it was a Sunday). She told me the owner usually gives the customer a free pedicure if the customer is usually unhappy. So I told her, a free gel pedicure ? She agree and said I'd have a call by the time above. So I left my nail and my phone number, informing them I loved this and would appreciate compensation with the lady I actually enjoy. It has been two weeks, and not a single phone call from them. I called yesterday and let the receptionist know that I was waiting on a call. She was very sweet, and helpful. Got back to me as soon as she could. Great. (Thanks for the help Sage.) So I get a phone call today from the manager, saying the most she could do is give me 20 dollars off the pedicure. That was it. Several times on the phone I had told her my toes look INFECTED. They HURT. They are swollen, but all she could do is 20 dollars off. I was looking for her worker to fix the job that wasn't done right. I wasn't going to pay another dollar to have any other worker do the same thing again for a lower price. I told her it was sad that I had been so loyal to this place and this was the most I got? The manager said she'd pay for the medical bills and medication, but they couldn't pay off the pedicure. Ridiculous. Not once did the owner call. They just lost all my business and loyal customer. Now I will be going to a podiatrist and definitely make them pay for the amount of money they're making me pay for their poor, unprofessional mistakes. read more

I'm giving a 1 star review only because the gel manicure was not the best but it was barely ok, and the pedicure polish was good, however, I left with my feet now feeling like sandpaper. My feet look and feel very dry, which annoys me because I left with my feet looking and feeling way worse than when I walked in. The 3 to 4 receptionists were more concerned about socializing among themselves instead of paying attention to their clients' needs and staff's requests for assistance. Today was my 4th and last visit (I tried my best to give them a chance). I had tried them because of how bad Nail Forum had become. They are two peas in a pod. Both BAD. When we got there they sat us in chairs and then we sat and sat. 15 minutes later we got up and walked out. They hadn't even ran any water for us to soak our feet in. Looking around the salon it was clear that there was not going to be anyone available soon so we left. I have come into the salon twice for a manicure and my experience was fine but a few days ago I went in for a pedicure and I came out with an infection. The male technician was very aggressive with my big toe and it started bleeding. Two days later the pain got worse and It was red and swollen. After going to urgent care, the Dr. said I did get an infection and am now on antibiotics. I went in to talk to the manager and let her know what happened. She issued me a refund for the pedicure price after trying to get me to have someone else work on me to make it better and assuring me all tools are sterilized. I will not be going back. read more

This place is touch and go. Today my pedi polish turned out lumpy and uneven. I think it was because the polish used was old and cheap. Avoid Ocean Nails Spa in Stevenson Ranch! I went tonight with my nearly 4 year old daughter, as well as my sister and mother. We specifically went there because I saw on Facebook that they have the kid chairs. We had an awful experience. None of us could sit in the chair beside my daughter. They wanted us spread out all over the salon. My sister and mother didn't get started until 30 minutes after our appointment. At 45 minutes past our appointment I complained to the receptionist. It was packed in there. I asked if it was typical to still be waiting that long. I told her I'm a member of a children and families group on Facebook and would be writing a review of our experience. She blamed the manager for forcing her to take every walk-in. I requested to see the manager. The manager acted completely surprised and when I told confronted her about how awful our experience was so far, she just kept repeating how sorry she was. I told her about the Facebook group I was part of and how I was going to be writing a review. She then began to blame the receptionist for not informing her of the delay in service. It was seriously the worst customer service I have ever had anywhere. As this was happening, my sister got the woman who was doing her pedicure to find someone to do my daughter's pedicure and manicure. My heart broke for my daughter because she was so excited about her first time at a nail salon. The manager assured me she would get the chair beside my daughter's chair available for me so I could be next to her. That didn't happen. They wanted me to sit as far away from my daughter as possible. I declined the pedicure and instead spent the remainder of our time there beside my daughter in a rolling chair trying to be happy so she would remember this as a fun experience. The manager disappeared until right as we were about to walk out the door. She said she was going to give only me my pedicure for free. When we told her I didn't even get one, she just kept repeating she was sorry. I would never recommend anyone go here, with or without children.
