Quality was horrible. They did a horrible job on my nails. It's crooked and it's an even they're also all different links. My nails started to burn and the lady just sprayed water on it. She was not able to put pressure on my finger for longer than five seconds, without me, literally shaking, and she just said she doesn't know why, don't go here just don't do it read more

I was disgusted with the service (manicure specifically, limited on colors) they are very racist and only cater to Caucasian people. I wasn't offered any drink, but the lady a few minutes behind me was offered a bottle of water . The owner is illiterate , she stated she only will put the clear coat on my nails being that the tips are unfinished and the tips are horrible. Also, stated she doesn't do nails but will take my full set off. I questioned her : Are you capable to paint nails or not ? Are you a nail technician or not? I asked for a simple fix and it was to repaint the tips because the male technician stated I was to picky and "my nail dried already so he can't fix it" . If you want a horrible experience, book a Mani-Pedi with Ocean. You can observe the constant endless chatter between staff members, loud, laughing, talking to each other while forgetting which toe they are on. How they stay open is beyond me. The technicians are very good BUT the owners constantly double book, after three times I didn't go back again. Also their prices are according to whim. Never the same from one visit to the next, each time the price escalated. After a couple years of this and the added aggravation of arriving to find out they had double booked I gave up. Gave them another chance, this time however I called to have them redone and the women I spoke to was rude and left me feeling uneasy about returning to even have them fixed. I don't get nails done super often but I wanted a manicure without the nail polish. I tried to communicate that to the lady but apparently she failed to understand me because all I got was nails cut and buffed because I didn't say "manicure" specifically. Further, when I asked about getting the manicure they couldn't do it because they had to get to the next customer! A cut and buff hands only was $7. So save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else 'cause this place will make your day just a little worse like it did to me. read more

I'm still going to Ocean Nails, it's been about 6 years now. I've had several different girls working on my feet, the latest was Lily. I'm a large guy who's always had trouble with my feet and the crew at Ocean Nails never disappoint. I was greeted immediately and made to feel at home. My ingrown nails was handled with the utmost care and concern for my pain AND comfort level. I always get the Heavenly, it's scrubs away all of my dead skin and scrape away my calluses. I went in with the hope that my experience would match the one I had before but I was disappointed. Me and my mom specifically asked for no gel and we were given gel on our hands and feet. When we called to ask the price of a mani-pedi we were told 30-50$ and at the end when I went to pay for mine it was $85 and my receipt just said manicure-$85. I also want to add that while getting my pedicure the nail tech decided to add on the package without asking me. My acrylics were done rushed and they are misshaped, my finger has second degree burns from the gel I didn't ask for and she cut my natural nails without asking as well. I went for fills and pedicure yesterday , Mary did my toes and rushed through it like it was not important.. I have had pedicures for years at the same price and a much better job was done.. I wanted to change my fill color and she said I would have to get a whole new set.. I was living in Orlando , Paris nails there would always remove the old color on a fill and fill with new for my fills never a charge for new set.. This place is ripping people off by telling them they need to soak off their nails and do new ., it is hard on the nails and cuticles to do so . I've been coming here for years. I've tried a few other places off and on depending on convenience (i.e. Work/schedule etc) but I stay loyal here. I always get a lot of compliments on my nails. They do a fantastic job at acrylics, natural nails, pedicures, waxing and most recently dipping powder. Just took off my acrylics and now I'm onto dipping powder. The problem was the techs..... didn't engage in conversation, rushing through the pedicure, needed to be told to slow down AFTER causing pain. Cut one of my nails too short. A hot mess! After our manicures and pedicure had already been started my daughters and I noticed how hot it was in the salon. Their power kept turning off and on. After 1 day my manicure starred peeling off each nail in one large chunk. It makes me wonder what they are doing to their products. They didn't listen when my daughter said the water for her pedicure was too hot. They charge enough that their AC and power should be working without issues. Will never return. I have been getting my nails done for 20+ years and I haven't had anyone burn my cuticles in a very long time. Two fingers. One bled to the point of having to put "new skin" on it to stop the bleeding. This probably happened because during my pedicure someone came in and asked for her. The other customer agreed to have someone else do her pedicure but would wait for my nail tech for her nails. The nail tech finished my pedicure but did not take care of the ingrown nails that I asked her to. Once she started my fingernails, she would not stop looking over to the other customer to check her status instead of paying attention to what she was doing. Once she was done we went to the register to pay. They would not accept the MasterCard Vanilla card as payment. They are accepted EVERYWHERE as a regular credit card. I have found the ideal place for pedicures right here in Palm Harbor. I had a major surgery which left my spine inflexible; the surgery, which reduced my pain greatly, left me unable to handle many things which we take for granted, including the ability to maintain my feet on my own. Pedicures became essential! After having had problems at another place, I found Linda at Ocean Nails and Spa! Linda does a fantastic job and best of all , she makes me feel pampered and feminine!
