My daughter and I came in today and I needed a fill and she wanted a manicure. I figured that we would be helped at the same time. But after waiting a half hour they never even touched me only her. My nails take far longer than her also she is 7. I've had issues in the past but to be completely ignored is just beyond frustrating! I plan on going somewhere else from now on. I haven't been to Ocean nails and spa very often but in the past, I always got a great pedicure. Unfortunately, yesterday was the exception. A guy named Juan gave me my pedicure. He was extremely rough the entire time.. I don't have any problems with ingrown toenails yet he continued to dig so far under my big toe it bled and he had difficulty stopping it from continuing to bleed. On my other foot he cut too deep on another toe and it bled as well. Today I'm having difficulty walking without my toe hurting. When he used the sanding block he scrubbed so hard it hurt me (and I do not suffer from large calluses). Then after the clay mask, he wiped his hands off on the towels he used to wrap around my legs so the towel was already covered in the clay from his hands before he even put them around my legs. The massage was great and the polish job was fine and the girl he had do the flower did a good job. However, I am very hesitant to ever return. read more

Ive been getting nails for over 20 years and I Took my daughter here and she wanted French tip and the woman was just yelling what color? my daughter is like white! then she wanted medium length and she got them so short it's barley a nail at all. Then I go to pay and they added charges they said NOTHING about! $55 for a full set $5 extra for coffin shape and then $7 for the French tip! are you fucking kidding me?! I could have done a better job than her! I'm so pissed! I will never go back again! $67 for a bad time and leaving mad! Thanks for nothing! I went there initially because it was close by and had a sign that said complimentary drink with service. I was not offered a drink and was too shy to ask so I didn't end up getting one the first time, and paid $60 for "gel" acrylics. (I never asked for gel or was asked.. I assumed I was getting regular paint). (My nails were also sore for 2 days after) I ended up getting to know the guy Nam that did my nails or least I thought. I went in there a second time after calling to ask how much a fill was for acrylics and being told $45 on the phone, I did get a drink this time I think because I remembered his name. When I was checked out it was again $55 which I didn't say anything to and should have. When I called today to make my third appointment, and to verify on prices which he told me was $45, I was hung up on in the middle of talking when asking him why it cost me $55 the last time. Didn't make me feel cared for or valued as a customer when I'm spending so much so I won't be back. Would like to note that I did like my nails but not the customer service. I was told not to come back because I took ice out of my ice coffee because there was more ice than coffee and I placed the ice on the lid,‍after giving a tip and paying for my fill and pedicure I was told not to come back. Uncomfy experience. I've been here twice now and unfortunately, I probably won't go back. It was recommended to me by a friend. The first time I went, I thought the place was beautiful, and the guy who did my pedicure was friendly and good conversation. Plus a free drink! Nothing personal, but the technique hurt a little bit and the pedicure ended up being kind of sloppy. I saw someone else working there look over his shoulder disapprovingly. The polish was kind of messed up. I could've done that lol. The second time I went, I called ahead and asked for somebody different. When I got there, I think she's the manager, Sophia, made a big fuss about having me point him out in the middle of a crowded room. The poor guy! And then she made me still get a pedicure with him, even though I asked to not have him! He did better this time, but my manicure from the other person was lacking. I don't get my nails done very often at all. It's a lot of money to spend and so you just hope it'll be good and not see fingerprints in your nail polish or cuticles that weren't trimmed. Again, I could do that myself and not spend $100. I walked out of there, thinking about the woman "why did you do that? Was it really that busy? I could've waited." And then having to sit and get the pedicure from the guy who knows you didn't want him. I felt bad. Also the colors not quite right. I showed a picture and asked for nude pink. Oh, well. read more

I went in today with my mother in law to have girls nails day. Everything was going good until I was told to go to a different person in the middle of getting my acrylics. I said ok , didn't think much of it. Then she put clear coat and sent me to another table. Then another person came and left and I was just sitting there with nails and no polish. All I wanted was a short French tip and that's all! The third woman doing the French tip had no idea how to do it. So then I was like you know I will go with a regular polish. Just one color. Then came another guy and told me to choose one and I did, he then went to do another girls nails and I had been waiting for over 20 minutes at that point. My mother in law was done with hers and I had gone first 20 minutes before her. I ended up going to the front desk and then was scolded and told that I couldn't make up my mind and that it was my fault. I sat crying in my car. It was embarrassing and the room was full of people. She wanted to charge me $55 for basically nothing. I refused and they still made me pay $45. I need my money back! Seems they just attend and treat nice there regulars. Don't recommend. read more

Terrible! the guy doing my nails was watching a show the entire time he was doing my nails, so he was barley paying any attention to what he was doing which led me to bleed multiple times. i got acrylics, and they're super super transparent because of how thin he made them and they're not at all the shape I asked for. I wouldn't recommend going to this salon. + my nails burned and hurt so bad after. read more

Absolutely horrible service, I translated what they were saying with google and they kept saying how horrible I was for asking them to fix something and then they called me "fat B word!". I have never left a review in my life but I think they deserve a bad one. But the worst part is all my nails chipped within the next two days! Ken and the lovely lady that did my toes were amazing! They were so kind and sweet, while also working thoroughly and fast. It was $125 for an acrylic set and the #3 pedicure, which had hot stones amongst other services. I normally do a nude or a natural pink, but this time I went with a bold sparkly red. I requested something completely different than what I got. I was quoted a cheaper price by phone with full explanation of what I wanted. A few nails are crooked. Got cut on one nail that throbbed with pain for days. Also he used the lights at an angle exposing me to uv rays. I have precancer ftom the sun and had this guy angling the rays at my face. I cannot believe that this place would refuse my money because I got my nails done somewhere else previously I actually do not know if to laugh or cry. I go in, I get my toes done (mind you that guy didn't have a problem) but then a guy comes up to me, asks where I got my nails done, I tell him and then when I'm done with my toes they sit me down and REFUSE to serve me any more.. nothing else happened in between so I am really quite confused. This place is totally misrepresented the people were nice but when it came time to pay for my mediocre plain. manicure it was $30. We're not talking Gell we are not talking lacquer just plain polish. The girl put the polish on so thick that on day two I already have chipping and scratching and dents where it did not dry properly the cuticles are a mess because she only partially trimmed them and when I commented on it they told me that a polish change was $15 save your money go someplace better. read more

I have had my nails done in other Longview Wa salons. I was not impressed. Until I found Ocean Nails & Spa. Shayla was great. Although English was not spoken clearly, we managed to get through the appointment and what I wanted. The person doing my nails was detailed and careful and really did every move right. My nails with acrylic and gel poslish feel like my real nails and look like my real nails. From my manicure to the end result, my nails look and feel really good. It was 20-30 dollars more than I expected to pay, but well worth it from this experience. I will definately go back. Thanks Ken helped, so when I went back in for a fill Ken did it. He made loose all confidence and lost my business. I have bumps. I saw him brush right over white powder like I wasn't watching. They are fat and as much as I swooned over Shayla for her perfect detailed work, I assumed Ken would follow her shape. The whole shape is not what I got the first time and I said how much I loved then. Purple is first photo and pink is second time in. Hard to see the edges not filed and the little gravel in the Polish on those nails but you can tell. read more

This was my second time coming here and my last. To start, not that it was the biggest deal in the world but I came with my mom and just because I was with her they assumed I was too young and refused to check my ID to be able to serve me an alcoholic beverage (I'm well over 21)which was disappointing. Then I had gel polish on my toes from the previous pedicure I had here and while she was filing it off she had the drill up way too high and began burning through my nail. She also cut the side of my big toe nails off with nippers as if they were ingrown toe nails and they were not. After she clipped them SCRAPPED THE NAIL PIECES SHE CUT OFF ON TOP OF MY FOOT as if there was not plenty of towels around to wipe it on. Honestly extremely disappointed. My girlfriend and our friend have tried this salon a few times. Each time was worse than the last. Mind you, we are the kind of people that book our appointments about a week or more in advance. Each time we have spent 2+ hours in the salon (once was almost three) the work is subpar because of how busy they are. When I asked if my friend could get a punch on her punch card since I had spent over $150 on three fills, we were told no because we didn't pay cash. We sat there for 3 hours and spent $150 but they refused to give her one stamp. The final straw and the reason we will not be going back was our last visit. We called to make an appointment, asked that one be with Sophia and two be with Shayla. Only one of us was actually seated with Shayla and that was after we waited for 40 minutes. About 5 days after our appointment two of us had polish peeling off our nails. It was a huge waste of time and money. Will never be going back, unfortunately. read more

I've never had an issue getting my nails done here. But I won't be going back from how my mom was treated by a certain nail tech. She hardly gets her nails done so she didn't understand what coffin shape was. There was miscommunication after I had asked him if she could keep them square. He seemed upset which I understood a little since he had glued them all on and had already been cutting. Mind you not all of the nails had been cut to shape. But he proceeded to grab and squeeze her hand and start ripping them all off. My mom kept saying "ouch that hurts" to the nail tech. You could see his jaw clenching. He made one of her fingers bleed from her natural nail ripping with the fake one. I told her we didn't need to stay that we could go somewhere else but she wanted to be "somewhat" nice" about the situation. Throughout the whole time he kept his jaw clenched and talking to us with an attitude "mama picky too picky not good" "don't like picky" over a short plain white set. At the end he wanted to charge her 80 which made no sense cus I got the same set a week prior, they charged me 60. He said "mama waste time so extra charge" I said for losing 4 minutes? That's not fair you being too mean so rude to her" I gave them 65 and we left. I respect my mom wanting to be the bigger person but I'm not letting her be taken advantage of trying to price gouge because he got upset about doing his job. read more

I am not happy with the service I received over the weekend ! It took a lady named Rose 2 hours for a fill and it isn't what I wanted . Before we sat down I told Rose how I wanted my nails . She didn't pay attention to details. After doing her filing then she asks what I wanted . I was upset because I told her before hand . Horrible experience! Cut my toes down to the quick and crooked. Cut into my skin with the cheese grater tool. But here's my cuticles. Uneven nails. Blistered my eyelids when they waxed. Worst was the price and filth. Flowers ts were filthy throughout the faculty and nothing looked clean. This use to be a classy place. Now it's a nail sweatshop. I'm so disappointed. read more
