Before I go, I thought the restaurant is right next to beach, because of the name of restaurant is "ocean front", however the restaurant is in front of a factory instead. There are parkings outside. The restaurant looks kinda old both outside and inside, maybe it just the Hawaiian style. We order Hawaiian BBQ chicken and Teriyaki beef plus hot and sour soup to go. The food was good to me but my partner said too salty. Anyway, for that price in big island Hawaii, I think it's a good deal.

Part of menu. Lots of choices.

Lots of options to choose from. Hole in the wall kind of place to eat when in Keaukaha, Hi. Reasonable prices.

It was so good! Garlic chicken, mac salad, and rice

Amazing cooked to order meals. Family run, fantastic food. We will be back! One bite of the garlic chicken and I was like wow, she cooks way better than me.

Super delicious Eggplant & Beef. Came as a large portion for a lunch plate but I couldn't stop and ate the whole thing. I'll be back. Many times! Also, the service was great and prompt.

Kalbi ribs and garlic shrimp combo special

Got the kalbi ribs and garlic shrimp plate special and it was amaaaazing. Fave food on the island so far. The vibes sitting outside are very industrial and not super pretty. But it's a great hole in the wall spot for some dank food. Very worth it.

Delicious wor won ton mein. The vegetables were perfect and the mix of shrimp, won tons, and everything else was great.

Really great Chinese food made authentically and at great prices. The cook really puts effort into the food.

Asked for crispy fries - got overcooked (seemed recooked) oil soaked fries

Looks like a hole in the wall restaurants but one of the best won ton meins I have ever tried. The roast pork ones are the bomb.

Just paid $14 for a tiny amount of orange chicken. No rice, no sides, nothing. Prices on menu didn't match what I was charged.

My first red flag was when the table in the front had a hair in their food .... But hey that's beside the point. The shrimp fried rice had 7 shrimp...7!!! It's not seasoned at all just egg and boiled shrimp , not even a lil green onion or soy sauce ..then the duck was like greasy and lacked luster and I asked for the duck "sauce "/ drippings and I was given hosin sauce ( ew) but I ate some because I'm not wasting my money lol. Did I mention I payed $58....... And for that much I would've expected the customer service to be top tier ... and no shocker the food matched the customer service 0/10 again. I'm not mad just disappointed. First restaurant in Hilo -0 /10 .

The restaurant itself seems like your typical Chinese restaurant setup with some booths along the window and larger round tables in the middle. It is a smaller restaurant, so maybe 10ish tables are inside max. We try to mix things up every time we come, but we always get the salt pepper pork ribs and the hot and sour soup! I find most places are either a hot or miss with the soup, but they are definitely my favorite place that makes it! And the pork ribs are the best. As my mom puts it, they're the perfect accompaniment to any meal since they're so crispy and tasty. She even commented she would get just the ribs so she can "snack" on it while watching the Super Bowl. Service can be a bit on the slower side, but every time we came, there's only been one person in the front answering the phone while catering to the people dining in and I believe they make the food when you order it so definitely not a quick place to eat if you're short on time but I find the wait always worth it.

The servers were running around all night, and it seemed that they were a little bit understaffed. However, they still did their best to attend to us, and food came out promptly. As most other pho shops, they provide plenty of bean sprouts, mint, lemons, and sauces (oyster sauce/Sriracha) to enjoy. Pho Rare Beef (6.5/10) - the broth was good, flavorful, rich and salty as expected from Vietnamese pho. As this spot is kind of a Viet/Chinese fusion, don't go in expecting the best pho of your life. However, the broth is definitely delicious and will fix your pho cravings - only comment is regarding the beef itself. Some of the pieces were definitely a little thicker, tougher, and at points difficult to chew. The beef was not then these sliced into the brisket that I'm used to finding, but that's OK Overall, pretty good pho spot on the Big Island with quite tasty broth. Only wish that the beef was either thinner and easier to chew, or more tender.

We showed up right when they opened at 5:30 p.m. without reservations on a Wednesday evening and was luckily able to get seated at the bar. Between the two of us, we ordered a bunch of items off the "small" section of the menu, including the smokey sashimi, sizzling tetsuyaki poke, smoked tonnato caesar, crispy rice, and their special of the day -- agedashi wontons. Of the items we ordered, the crispy rice and the agedashi wontons were my favorite items. The crispy rice is priced per piece, and you'll certainly want to order at least two per person, because one is simply not enough. The rice block is fried a beautiful golden brown -- similar to a hash brown. The crispy rice pairs perfectly with the ono mixture on top of it. With the agedashi wontons, I initially thought the filling was a bit under-seasoned at first, but when enjoyed with the broth, the wonton comes out tasting perfectly seasoned. The broth had so much umami to it and the wonton had the perfect crunch to it I always love a good Caesar salad and the one here is spectacular. With anchovy croutons, shaved cured egg yolk, and smoked ahi dressing, you're getting some creative, premium ingredients in this salad and everything works so well together. Even if you're not a salad person, I would definitely recommend giving this dish a try. On top of delicious food, the service at Moon & Turtle was spectacular. Food was promptly brought out after we placed our order, pacing didn't ever feel rushed, our water cups were never empty, and our server checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. I would definitely stop by Moon & Turtle again if I'm in Hilo.
