Were a late arrival (after business hours). We had a problem with the keypad and after a call to the night number, maintenance was there in less than 30 minutes. It was the battery. HE had it fixed in a minute. Super polite. The place was beautiful and Very clean. (I felt the need to do some cleaning when I got home.) Everyone I dealt with was professional and courteous. The house was filthy after they said it was cleaned. The floors were dusty and sandy, there was mold on cabinets and shower curtains, the refrigerator was leaking, the garbage disposal smelt and was clogged, the pool had rust and alge, dust and hair from previous guests on windowsill. We took an hour to re clean everything. The home really needs an update, and Elliott Rental needs to get a new cleaning crew. After paying over $4000 for the week, this in unacceptable.

Those towels sat there THE ENTIRE WEEK. Also, the stove was DISGUSTING. Obviously had not been cleaned in a LONG time. We couldn't even imagine using it. Décor was early "Three's Company" desperately in need of an upgrade. Would have been better off at a chain hotel.

From the moment we checked in, our accommodations were unacceptable! Dirty, unsafe, and poorly maintained. We raised these issues multiple times with management (including John Layton, Max Goldberg, and Ken Merritt), but not once did anyone attempt to resolve our concerns or even offer an apology. Instead, we were constantly told to "contact Booking.com," which is unacceptable when the issues are with the property and staff themselves. Things only got worse during checkout. My mother-in-law returned the pool passes as requested and simply asked if she could take a picture of them for her own reference. The front desk attendant, Shawna, rudely refused. When I went in to follow up, she became defensive, jumped out of her seat, and went to get the manager. When Mr. Layton came out, we again tried to calmly express our dissatisfaction. Instead of listening, he dismissed us and repeated that our problems were Booking.com's responsibility. When my husband spoke up, Shawna suddenly announced she was calling the police. Incredibly, the police DID arrive. We stayed to speak with them ourselves to ensure no false statements were made against us. Only once law enforcement was present did Mr. Layton finally provide the contact information I had originally requested. Rather than addressing our complaints, Palmetto Villas management escalated the situation to the point of involving the police against paying guests who simply wanted their concerns acknowledged. The hostility, lack of professionalism, and disregard for guest satisfaction were shocking. This was supposed to be a family vacation, but instead, we were met with dirty, hazardous rooms, dismissive management, and threats of arrest. Absolutely unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering Palmetto Villas to look elsewhere, this property does not care about its guests. Booking.com is currently doing an investigation and I am waiting for Mr Lashower to return my email that was send Friday August 22nd

It has been disgusting our entire stay so we don't use itHot tub is an embarrassment but they don't care about you....only your money. The asshole owner of UNIT 202 let us move in anyway. Last night was the kicker. I spotted a huge cockroach (see picture) in the bathroom near my toothbrushes. He has not returned our message. We had to throw out toiletries and check for bugs in the boxes. We threw away most of our food all because we rented from a low life scumbag. UNIT 202 COCKROACHES AND UNITS NEARBY LIKELY HAVE AN INFESTATION OF COCKROACHES. UNIT 202 COCKROACHES AND NOBODY CARES. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP. Murffy bed was a great idea for additional sleeping space. TV's worked fine, shower was great even if it was in a tiny space. Pool area seemed to be kept up well. Management office that is across the street wants nothing to do with you if you rent from an offsite rental office. After checking out, I found out that my credit card was charged by the offsite rental office for $50 for additional cleaning (OK, maybe they needed additional time to clean), but also for $60 for 2 missing pillows and pillow cases....WE DID NOT TAKE ANY PILLOWS OUT OF THE CONDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have spoken to them two times and they say we took them, and I say we did not. For $30, I could go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and buy 2 brand new pillows and pillow cases, and better quality than the ones that were in the unit. Just beware when you rent from this agency.....I would not recommend renting from this agency....Just make a reservation on your own direct with the property.
