A terrific business with a fantastic event today for their 40 th Anniversary. My husband has been diving with them since the 80s and every trip a winner. They also stock a great selection of gear and he has bought much over decades. I have bought gifts for him as well as for others. Their travel department handles not only their group trips but can set up independent trips for other customers too. Because of the pandemic and some family illnesses, my husband has not been able to take any dives since early 2020. But he is headed out again with them this spring with hopes for more trips in the future. Supporting such a local and long time family business in Boulder is important now more than ever. We both needed to see what was happening these days, pick up some new gear and a gift for someone else too. It was well worth spending a few hours at the event as well as in the store. It was nice to meet the new staff since we were last in, as well as see the owner and long time staff we already knew. It was incredibly well attended, even during a CU home football game. I collect 20's thru the 50's vintage ads on all things considered and had some original ads for scuba diving, snorkeling, equipment and things related that's perfect for framing. I dropped some off awhile ago as the owner wasn't there then. I had a bunch this time so I stopped in and the owner was there this time but was just to busy an employee told me to come out for one minute so I could hand them to him. No cost, nothing in return as they are way cool original ads and thought he would appreciate them. Maybe he was in a really super important meeting but the employee gave me the impression that he just didn't want to be bothered. read more

I am back from one of my many trips with Weaver's Dive and Travel. As it turns out, I had a medical emergency while in Palau on this trip. My trip leader, Jane Steinbrecher went way beyond the call of duty and her job description. Jane stayed by my side as I was transferred to the hospital and provided the much needed emotional support during my time of extreme vulnerability. The experience would have been so much more terrifying and traumatic for me had it not been for Jane's calm and caring presence. I highly recommend Weaver's Dive and Travel. read more

I called Weaver's to get my open water certification before I left for Thailand in a short period of time and explained the urgency to weavers. I was given the option to take the course on one weekend and then do a semi private dive with an instructor for my open waters to get my certification within the timeframe that I had. A week before my trip to Thailand I received a call Informing me that I could not do my open water dives because the water was becoming too cold. I had made these reservations only a week beforehand, The weather has not significantly changed. I asked for at least a partial refund for the class portion since I now in my time constraints have to drive to NM to take an alternative PADI course and repay for the pool, classroom, and open water dives. Weavers would not oblige, and told me the money was already spent. I have lost $350 and the money spent from driving from denver to boulder each day and a whole weekends worth or my time.They did refund me for the dives I did not get to do. read more

He was more than helpful and offered me a refund for the difference or store credit, & apologized for any miscommunication. Our 12 and 14 year old sons just completed their course/pool work and open water dives with Weavers. The open water dives took place at the Blue Hole, NM, where Mike Garrity (dive master candidate), Dave Rizer (dive master), and Troy Allen (dive instructor) all taught the boys with great kindness, patience, and support. I recently stopped by Weaver's location to look at some gear and had the pleasure of working with both Audrey and Jeff. I have been to most of the dive shops in the Denver area trying to find one that could become our dive shop and I can gladly say that I now have a place I can call home. Audrey took her time to work with my wife to ensure that we could find a BC that would fit her and provide a woman's perspective on fit and comfort. It was great to find someone like Audrey that was not only technical but concerned about getting my wife into the correct gear that fit her well and would provide years of comfortable dive experiences. Jeff is a superstar as well! You can tell that he truly cares about the people that walk through the door and treats everyone like he has known you for years. Jeff went out of his way to share the knowledge he has gained over the years and teach me a few tricks while getting our gear ready and I greatly appreciate it. Anyone can sell something but you can tell Jeff really cares about his customer, community and the shop. Weaver's is a great shop with employees that really make the difference. Weaver's Dive & Travel is the best! Jeff really helped me out and his passion for scuba is obvious. I called the shop with an extraordinary request and he went out of his way to help me retrieve some fishing gear lost when my boat capsized. There was nothing in it for Jeff or the shop whatsoever. But I called him for some direction on the matter and he stepped in and gave me exactly that, contacting others on my behalf which led to a successful dive. If that is how he treats people with nothing to gain, I wonder how well he treats paying customers who come in for their products and services? Better yet I am sure if that is even possible. My 14 year old son just completed his diving certification course through Weaver's. For many reasons we opted for the private course. I can not say enough about how wonderful the experience was. Dave, the instructor, was so helpful and patient, while we were picking out mask, snorkel and fins. He explained all options and prices and really took into consideration my sons age (that he will still grow), costs, quality, with no pressure at all to buy the the most expensive. As it turned out my son opted to buy the better mask and is thrilled that he did. Dave was top in instruction and my son commented that he is a fantastic teacher. It's rare to have such an all around great experience with any store or service provider. My son will definitely be doing his open dives with Weaver's. read more

I had a very good experience with this dive shop. I had just gotten a new job that would start in 2 weeks and wanted to go to the Maldives and do a liveaboard right before that job started. So I had basically three days before having to arrive. Keep in mind that the maldives have about a 12 hour time difference so sending an email and getting a reply takes a day. Still they were able to book a great ship with that little notice and we managed all of the paperwork while I was enroute. The trip was great and everything went smoothly and they managed well through this unique situation. Would definitely book with them again. read more

What an experience! I signed up for scuba open water certification class with Steve Weaver and his team thinking it would make for fun future adventures. What I ended up with are genuine lifetime friends and an entire new social life. I can't express enough gratitude to Steve, Steve, and Scott for walking me through this fun process from sign up to graduation. It started with excellent service and just got better. From the first minute I showed up to the pool for the first class I don't think I've stopped smiling. I got the attention I needed to feel safe, educated and like I was part of an inner circle of wonderful friends. With the education I received I feel comfortable to take on any dive alone, however I couldn't imagine it would be half the fun without these guys by my side. I'm now signed up for my open water dives and I'm doing it with the instructors who will be my dive buddies for life. There really is no substitute for what they provide. read more
