We love staying at this resort! Super casual and they have dog friendly rooms available with great views of the ocean. They are set up if you enjoy razor clam digging so you can clean them right there at the resort. Best of all for us is the restaurant. Rob who is always so pleasant to greet us and get us seated, all of the staff, Natalie is such a delightful server, and the chef Jess is the real deal! They have a wonderful gift shop with local artisans! We were a bit concerned this year with Covid, but once we got settled it was apparent they are going over and above to make sure it is safe to dine. We can't wait to go back! I love visiting in the summer but fall is just as beautiful! The clam chowder is so good. They change the menu so I always try something different when we go. Fresh squeezed OJ for breakfast, I highly recommend you go for a visit. read more

Paradise rediscovered! We absolutely loved our stay at Ocean Crest Resort in Mo Clips! We were sadly only there for one night, but this is the type of place you wish you could stay for a week! Our room was gorgeous with an giant ocean side view! It had a full kitchen, separate bedroom and outdoor patio that is amazing for watching the sunset. There are even amazing retro fireplaces in the room! The only improvement would be to put a tv in the bedroom so the parents could watch tv if the kids are sleeping in the living room. The only other negative is the restaurant is grossly overpriced. It is gourmet, but it was overpriced even for that. I wish there was an affordable option on site. Oh, additionally the front desk charges of dvd rental... that should be a cool complimentary perk. Lame that they charge. High prices at that! Now for the gem... the pool across the street are what childhood vacation memories are made of! A GIANT pool complete with hot tub, sauna, showers and if you wanted to pay for it even spa services. The decor is fantastic as it is decorated like an old cedar Pacific Northwest lodge! This does seem somewhat in the middle of nowhere, but we absolutely loved it! Can't wait to go back! read more

Stayed here a few weekends ago in a standard room. Nice and clean. A bit outdated but decent for the price.

Uncomfortable room. The entire room was slanted, we were on the second floor. Seriously felt like the place could fall down at any moment. The pillows and bed were horrible and very uncomfortable and hard. Walls are thin and could hear cars passing all night long and people in the room next-door. You guys, I just love a no-frills side of the road motel when hitting the road for national park trips in no man's land. There is something so charming about their bare bones setup. It's like a tent for those of us who don't actually want to sleep in a tent but love being outside...during the day hours. My key requirements in these situations is: 1.) is it clean; 2.) easily accessible from the route; 3.) is it clean (yes, I said this one twice) and 4.) budget friendly. Ocean Crest checked off all of these boxes. The room was very clean and the check in process was easy peasy. The bedroom even featured green tea and coffee (coffee maker). Located along 101/overlooking the ocean, this motel is only a stone's throw from Olympic National Park Hoh Rainforest entrance and Ruby Beach. Our room was $97 including tax for a queen bed. My only complaint was that the door/door locks could use some repair. The door wouldn't fully lock or close. read more

Ask for an updated room these pictures were taken from my patio room 104 small kitchen and living area would only recommend up to 4 people only in that room even though it says sleeps up to 6. Had a fabulous dining experience in the restaurant on Sat, 4/2. We were in town celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and so happy we celebrated at the Ocean Crest Resort. We ordered a appetizer the Dungeness crab toast. Wow! Fantastic! We both ordered the prime rib with vegetables and a Gorgonzola potato side. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, great size and everything was delicious. For dessert, I had the berry cobbler and hubby had the chocolate silk cake. Delicious! I highly recommend this special restaurant! You won't be disappointed! Our server was fabulous also, I think his name was Sam. He wa fantastic and made sure our night was special! read more

We ate here Wed. night Sept. 6.2023. at 5:00 PM. Reservations were needed except at the bar. The food was good but a bit expensive. The deserts (key lime pie and chocolate extravagance) were awesome. We did not get any of their alcohol beverages. The place was very busy so the service was a bit slow (in the bar). Dogs were allowed on the outside patio. read more

Beautiful location, great restaurant and friendly reception desk but that is where it ends. This hotel needs a total makeover. It is beat, run-down, rooms are small, dingy, poor ventilation (we had the queen studio, no view). Because it is old it feels dirty, although I think housekeeping does the best it can with old fixtures. read more

I loved visiting Ocean Crest. The hotel sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean with a private staircase down to the beach. It is extremely pet friendly with lots of pups. Every single person on staff was beyond helpful and accommodating, with one women even lending me her cell phone charger as we had forgotten ours. It was a nice place to relax for the weekend. The downside - I felt our room was charming, but really dated. For $250/night in a remote area of the coast, I would hope for a more updated room without pee stains on the carpeting. Also, the spa was crowded and it seemed to be locals/families of employees as they left and went directly to their cars. It made the relaxation area is overcrowded, especially with children yelling. It would be better if they could visit during low periods, not weekends/sellouts. read more

DO NoT fall TRAP to this place. This family owned business needs to do some crash course in customer service. I had the most horrifying experience with their management. We booked a queen size room, our 4 year kid sleeps with us. Their rooms are extremely tiny and still they would charge you a fortune for it. We were on a road trip for 10 days and had to check in after 10 in the night. When my husband and 4 year old kid go to check in, the lady at the counter had the most casual and cold response of going by the books- " Our rooms do not accommodate more than 2 people (the third person is a 4 year old kid) - and beware for the town that size they charge $170 per night for that size room that cannot even accommodate a 4 year old kid ". So if you are with a family, you are expected to pay a fortune for such tiny sized rooms. I also think they are trying to make up for the pandemic losses by overbooking people. My husband who had a sleepy kid waiting to crash in the bed at 10:30 pm offered that we have a sleeping bag and if need be, I can sleep in the car so that my wife and kid can sleep - that was denied too". It was a small town so we were freaking out as to where would we go with a kid at that hour and it was the July 4 weekend. And on top of that " No Apology" was offered. The lady at the desk had the coldest response - Contact Expedia or find another room. Nothing was offered to help find an alternative accommodation for the inconvenience caused. We spent some time finding another accommodation sitting in our car and found a motel that was another half hour drive. We reached another hotel at midnight . And wait for it, after all this inconvenience , they had the courtesy to deny refund of $170 per night for a room that cannot accumulate a kid, on top of all the inconvenience caused. This family owned place is all about over expensive rates with absolutely no flexibility or courtesy. Instead of paying $170 plus taxes for a ridiculously small size room, you would be better off spending half of that money with better service elsewhere. The hotel we contacted at 11 on the night was so much nicer, we paid $90, they were almost full but the manager when came to know about the situation with a kid, spent more time looking further and was able to find something for us. After being denied the refund when I call the hotel manager - even then no apology was offered for the inconvenience, let go of the refund. She noted that we do not have a lot of customer checking in after 10 in the night so implying your inconvenience is kind of not our problem. When I said this will be well reflected in the review - they again had that same cold response " We will wait for the review" We feel ripped off, frustrated and ridiculed by their service in the so-called hospitality business read more

I was looking for a relaxing mini getaway with beautiful scenery and I got that all of that at Ocean Crest. We stayed in room 404. We were impressed with the clean room and the beautiful view. For$260 We think it was worrhLisa at the front desk was friendly and helpful and made checking in and out a breeze. Our family enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much and we appreciated the friendliness from the attendant in the building as well. I highly recommend making a reservation for dinner because it was really busy! Lucky for us we had made ours in advance and it was such an amazing experience. Everything we had was so delicious!!! We ordered the crab dip, crab pasta, steak and cheese pizza for the kids. We were all very happy and satisfied with our choices. The s'mores cheesecake was amazing and was just the perfect ending to our dinner. We had Radine (sorry if it's incorrect but she said she was day manager) and Neil serving us and I just have to say that the whole dining experience was very pleasant for us. We had a bad experience with eating at Seabrook earlier in the day so it was so important to us that they made this meal enjoyable. We left with happy tummies for sure! The only disappointment was that my cousin was looking forward to eating salmon all day and when we got there they were all out but it was easily made up with the steak. Just keep in mind that there was only one person at the front desk during early mornings and later evenings so when we needed an iron or extra towels we had to go there and pick up ourselves. The WiFi wasn't that strong but it was enough to send messages to our home here and there. (We have AT&T and Verizon cell service and had no service at all) Also when we showered the water would be hot and then all of a sudden it would turn really cold for a couple seconds and then go back to warm. The beds were comfortable but the pillows not so much. Other than that which is not even a big deal at all we are highly satisfied with our stay and would come back again if we ever decide to come out this way again. Thank you!! read more

My family and I came back March 2017 to spread my wife's ashes on the beach near the OCR. It was her favorite place to watch winter storms. The staff at both the hotel and restaurant were wonderful and very accommodating. They took a lot of the stress out of the weekend for us. This is the first time that I really went full boat on the food, so wonderful. The whole family couldn't stop talking about how good it was. I'll be back here next March for our anniversary. We stayed here for New Year's Eve and made reservations for dinner. The room was warm and inviting with a separate shower and toilet area. The large windows let in a lot of ambient light. The rooms do need some updating but was very comfortable. We went to dinner and the food was amazing. We had Ahi Pole, baby lettuce wedges, marinated flank steaks with potatoes and green beans. We ended with a delicious key lime pie and a Spanish coffee. Jess did a great job attending to our food needs. We got up in the morning and had a wonderful breakfast. My wife had the eggs Benedict and I have the traditional with two eggs over easy, thick cut bacon, and toast. Ben served us well. Good atmosphere, good price, great experience. We will be back. Don't let the age of this place fool you. Sure, does the resort need some touch up and paint, yes. Overall the place was clean and the hospitality was good. The view was breathtaking and if the weather was in our favor we would of walked down the steps to get the the beach. The room was very clean with a wood burning stove and a great view. Pool - Fantastic simple pool and hot tub with great staff on hand Food- Bring food - the restaurant is good but expensive if you have to eat there 3 meals a day throughout your stay. Location - Phenomenal - we hope this will be a yearly trip! Staff - Mostly friendly Room - I wanted to love the room. It was mostly clean and had a good view but here is the kicker.... We stayed in room 203 and the room is leaning. You can tell it is on a cliff and as someone that is afraid of heights I was paralyzed by fear on more than one occasion. The toilet leans, the bed leans and my son dropped a ball and it rolled all the way to the sliding door. It is not even close to level. I felt like The Whole room was going to break off and tumble down the cliff side. Stay - We would most definitely stay again but not in room 203 - Maybe it's my fear of heights or maybe I am just too anxious but for the price it is not fair to Not feel comfortable in my room. read more

We had a good experience here. They had a discount going on for liking their Facebook page and got 15% off. Pros: *Very clean *Outstanding food in the dining room *Right on a beautiful beach Cons: *Room was not as advertised; we had our dog with us so we were allocated to a pet friendly room, which was pretty outdated and minimal; okay for 200 a night, but would not pay more for it. *There were a lot of rules, and not just Covid rules. You agree upon check in that if you disturb anyone you are responsible for their bill. That's a big ask. Side note: Also bans any marijuana use based on Washington law? I think they meant federal, but regardless, it was weird that they kept saying WA law bans marijuana. *A lot of rules with pet owners, including that you can't leave your pet alone at any time. Well, there goes our dinner reservation. I get why they have this rule, but I would have liked to know about it prior to booking. *No bottle opener in the room because people kept taking them? We had to put down a deposit to use a bottle opener for a bottle we bought from their restaurant. They would not open it for us. A bit of an annoyance for our night, especially when a manual bottle opener is so inexpensive. So, nice place to stay, but little inconveniences were aggravating so minus a star. read more

The restaurant at Oceancrest Resort does an Awesome job. The atmosphere, view and service are all great. I had the salmon with strawberries and maple balsamic reduction.
