My family stayed in this Inn for two nights, It's located on a beautiful lot, room was very clean and amenities were all in good shape. Owners, Josh and Tiffany , are super nice, they did everything in their power so we feel comfortable and welcome.

I highly recommend the Quinault River Inn. It was immaculate! When I was a child and traveled with my parents my Mom would always check the hotel room bathroom before we decided to stay. She would have been SO impressed with this one. As I said, immaculate. The heat/cooling, TV, fridge and coffee maker seemed new and worked well. The freezer compartment actually refroze the ice pack from my cooler - something my previous night's accommodation didn't do. I stayed in the end unit (#8) and never once heard the people on the other side of the wall. The fitness building had several cardio machines, a universal gym, and free weights, as well as yoga dvds and music sources. Also included were cleaning supplies for sanitizing after using the equipment. My hosts, Jim and Angela, were warm and welcoming and have made every effort to ensure a safe stay. After a day of hiking it was so peaceful to sit at the fire pit and enjoy the river view. The second day was spent enjoying the ocean beaches, a short 45 minute drive away. I can't wait to go back again for a longer!

Affordable, convenient, and pretty! Went here for the weekend and there were no surprises or disappointments. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated with the parking spots right outside. This is on the south end of Quinault River and on the edge of the Olympic National Park. There's a small grocery right near by. It was very cold when we went, but the chairs and views would be great to sit and view in warmer weather. The ownes are lovely and accomodating. As people mentioned before you'll have to drive for a decent food option, but I'd definitely return!

My wife and I stayed in this small inn during our road trip around Olympic Peninsula in April 2008. We had not made any reservations and were just driving road 101 trying to find a place to stay. We stopped in small town called Amanda Park to look around and found the signage of Quinault River Inn. As I later learned from their web-site it used to be Amanda Park Motel & RV Park (4) years ago. And yes, there're still RV spots there. The funny thing is that the front desk operates 9am - 9pm only. We were lucky enough to arrive at 8:30pm. I don't know what should one do if arrives at 10pm having a reservation. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly. He gave us a ton of useful hints on local attractions and continuation of our trip. The suite was very nice and clean. Pretty spacious, equipped with natural wood furniture. The only thing I didn't like was the heating system. It worked, but the warm air distribution was not very good. There's free Wi-Fi in the inn, so we stayed connected. Don't be fooled by old-fashioned TV set in the suite, it is connected to the Dish Network receiver, so you have plenty of channels to watch. The inn is located in a very green and quiet place, so you'll be disturbed by birds singing only. Overall, it was a great experience. We liked it very much. I'd call the price/quality ratio we had very high. We paid around $72 (incl. taxes) and received a very good service.

It has one nice thing going for it - the view from the chairs overlooking the lake and that is me being kind. We booked 2 nights and left after 1! I think simple attention to detail Is a huge sign and the mismatching light bulbs is a quick sign that this place needs help. Be most of this review is for the room. The lobby and fireplace area are nice and historic. Internet in the main lodge is solid.

First, this is a lodge... they have events, weddings, family reunions, holiday gatherings. That was exactly what it was designed for... think ahead and ask if there are large parties planned when you hope to visit. If that is bothersome to you, go elsewhere. Don't use it to hide behind a poor review just to be a stinky butt. OK. Let's get to MY review. Solid 4-star. This is a lovely lodge built in 1926. Nestled right off the lake, it boasts some lovely pieces of its history with beautiful view of Lake Quinalt. The lodge itself is lovely. Now, keep in mind, it's 99 years old and has adapted to many years of human evolution. Yep, not everything is prefectly fitted but they make it work. The huge roaring fireplace was a lovely place to nestle by and enjoy a cocktail. The bar is a bit expensive but again, we're in the middle of the forest. We aren't in a metro... everything has to be trucked in. The restaurant is lovely. Chef, kudos to you for what you serve considering being hours from the nearest large town! The menu is smaller but what they do, they do it well. Again, we're in the middle of the forest, everything has to be trucked in... and probably some staff! The community is tiny and I'm sure there are plenty of challenges maintaining the amount of staff they need to maintain the lodge at the level they do. I had the chicken for dinner which was absolutely lovely. It was presented beautifully and served piping hot! We'd absolutely go back again. Now, I'd want to visit in the summer when it isn't pitch black outside by 4:30 PM. I would love a dinner at the Lodge in July when you could watch the sun sit over the Lake. Go, enjoy, it's rustic, it's a little kitschy. This is not your 5-star Michelin restaurant... this is a lodge, in the forest, on a lake. It's lovely!

I especially loved all the windows that let in tons of natural light, and the porch out front was such a nice touch. The staff at the office were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even offered me an upgrade for just $15, which I really appreciated. The location itself was absolutely stunning... There are tons of spots. But I had a disappointing time at the resort. I only wanted to sit in the hot springs for a bit. The employees were fine that day. However the next day, my car didn't start, and I had to walk to the resort to use a phone since there was no reception. The same person was there but completely wrapped up in a conversation with someone, so it was awkward to pull her away. She told me the nearest reception was at the Salmon Cascades two miles up, or we could use the phone in the corner. There were instructions on the phone to use it, but it didn't work. So I had to give up on that, and they were still talking so casually. They really didn't care about what was happening at all. Then I looked it up and realized the walk to Salmon Cascades was actually five miles away, but I was ignored when I brought this up. I guess it was really important those two caught up. If I were to walk into literally any restaurant (which the resort has) or business, and I needed help with an emergency, I would expect to get help. It's just the human thing to do. Most people would help. But maybe the resort needs help with helping its guests, so here are my suggestions as a former hostess: - Train employees for someone in need of emergency services and give them up to date information on the phone and make sure they know the area. If there's no service, they need to take responsibility as a hub to help travelers feel safe especially when there are bears are everything out there! Plus it's just hospitality to know the area to help people out who are lost. It leaves a good impression, too. - Take a guests concern seriously and work with them to find a solution, however trivial it may seem. - Lower the prices while you're at it. Don't gatekeep the experience for rich tourists. Until these things are changed, the resort is currently a soulless cashgrab, in an area with such sacred indigenous meaning...

The only thing I don't care for is there are no hooks of any sort to hang your clothes on in the whole room. Especially, in the bathroom where personally an under the sink cubbie for the hotel robe doesn't cut it. The only 2 rods to hang things on are the towel rack in with the tub & toilet area, and the closet out in the main room. Very inconvenient. The outer portion of bathroom where the sink is, only has the cubbie. Initially that is filled with towels & bathrobes. The lack of a towel rack near the sink seems to be a growing trend at motels. What's with that? Otherwise, so far I've enjoy the in room Keurig coffee service and I'm impressed by the room's addition of wine glasses to the clear coffee cups & water glasses. The downside is the cups are a small 8 oz and I had to cycle twice for a decent amount of coffee. View great! Not sure the rest is worth it.
