I would like to start by saying that I have no problem with the doctor's ability in this practice…read more In fact, I have been in Dr. Gupta's chair and he was wonderful. I have worked in the dental field for over 20 years and have also referred countless patients here that were completely satisfied with their care. However, I no longer see Ann running the practice and it shows. Ann was on the ball and always had the patient's best interest at heart. She was understanding and accommodating. Unfortunately, the underqualified gentleman, Joe, that has stepped into her role comes from an imaging and marketing background, so knowing nothing about dentistry, he treats patients as dollar signs not humans. My husband was referred for a retreat. He was actively in pain and was still given an appointment a month away. Whatever. Our general dentist cares about his patients well-being, so he came in early to complete a pupal debridement, alleviating the pain and buying him time. The day before my husband's appointment, I called knowing there would be an out of pocket and since no one had bothered to advise us of such, I inquired what that would be. I am well aware that endo is not cheap, but was surprised at the cost since I understand insurance participation fees and how payment is rendered. I asked the "manager" to explain. He made a pathetic attempt to act like he knew what he was talking about and said the CBCT would be at full cost. First of all, my insurance covers 50%, so that was inaccurate. Second, I had a CBCT taken that day in my own office to bring with us. Shockingly, the imaging specialist was unable to open the CBCT at the appointment and they took a new one, charging full price. Because the doctors choose to participate with Delta Dental, they agree to the lower fees Delta provides. In order to make up the difference, they padded on a $160 consult fee and $75 pulp vitality test for an already diagnosed & referred procedure, a $40 fee for a final fill periapical x-ray that is required by the insurance companies to redeem payment, and a $100 bogus laser fee that, let's be serious, is already part of the procedure. I had to request an itemized bill that took 2 weeks to get. Comparing it to my EOB from Delta Dental, I rightfully should have paid $562.50 and was charged $846.00. Not to mention, the erroneous charges maxed out the insurance for the year. Never again will I refer anyone here and I have reached out to all my other providers to reconsider referring as well. I understand the need for business growth, but you are taking advantage of people in every way. Shame.

The tooth was not loose unlike another tooth upon which he had done a root canal, but the gum was painful after chowing down on homemade beef jerky so I was put on antibiotics. One day after starting the antibiotics my pain was gone and a month later when seeing this new endodontist it was the same. (I managed to get into this endodontist earlier plus he was "in network" re insurance.) Initially the dental assistant took a single Xray, placed a swab with topical anesthetic on the gum area with the involved tooth and said that the doctor would evaluate me to determine if I needed a root canal. Considering the circumstance I naturally questioned whether I needed a root canal and if I did why would I need to go back to my original dentist to get the cap hole repair done. After the physical exam I received a tongue lashing from the endodontist stating he wouldn't do the endo because I was "pissed off." But who was really "pissed off"? It seemed he was because I questioned his ability and that of my longtime dentist to accurately evaluate the situation and possibly perform an expensive procedure that probably wasn't really needed. I was told "No charge" for the visit so I got the original paperwork from my dentist and left. I contacted my insurer to let them know of what had transpired in the event that this endodontist submits an insurance claim for doing nothing. Ironically, this endodontist apparently also practices general dentistry (per the web site) so why he didn't state he could manage the entire procedure including closure of the cap is beyond me.

Dr. Gupta performed root canal. I was satisfied with the interactions and the outcome. I was a little annoyed, like another person here, I received a bill for the exact same service that the recommending dentist charged. The dentist did some x-rays to see what the problem was, and then referred me to this office for root canal. They also did an x-ray and it turns out it was the same one the dentist did. I got a bill for it later. My insurer said they would not pay for it because the dentist already charged for it. I am going to talk to them about it and see how they handle it. I did go with one picture of an x-ray from my dentist but maybe that wasn't enough for them, I'm not sure. But I would go back to them.

From the start, Dr. Sarah was confident, calm, and reassuring. She took incredible time and care with my temporaries--they were secure, comfortable, and shaped beautifully, which immediately put me at ease. For the first time, I wasn't worried they would fall out. When it came time for the permanent veneers, we were unsure about the color at first, but Dr. Sarah said to try them in and reassured me we could redo them if needed. She was right--they were a perfect match. She even scheduled a follow-up to make sure I was completely happy. Dr. Sarah and her assistant were patient, meticulous, and truly passionate about their work. After years of stress over this process, I finally feel at ease knowing my smile is in expert hands, and I'm so grateful I found Brielle Dentistry.

I went there for an emergency root canal, which went well, although I had to wait in the chair doing nothing for 45 minutes, before they finally started working on me, consequently making me late for work. Everyone was very nice and apologetic, but that was a bad first impression for me. They pushed the comprehensive dental exam for a later date, which I did get. They found many many issues with my teeth and gums, which really surprised me, as I practice excellent oral hygiene every day. Long story short - I moved to another state not long after this and found a dentist here, who did the exact same exam - all the bite-wing and panoramic x-rays, photos, physical exam, etc., and found only a tiny fraction of what Brielle "found." For example - Brielle told me I needed to get 2 back teeth extracted. I knew of one tooth, given what was going on, but the other tooth they wanted to extract turned out to be perfectly healthy and fine, with absolutely no need to extract, per my current dentist. Brielle also pointed out other work I needed to get done - another example: deep scaling - while the dentist I go to now found no issues whatsoever with my gums. And there were others. Needless to say, I would never to back to them.
