When I mentioned home care to the facility staff, even they said patients tend to recover more quickly at home. What we didn't appreciate was just how difficult it can be to care for an elderly person who can't walk. They provided us with a list of home health care providers that I cross checked with yelp. Crazy how few reviews there are for these types of businesses. After doing some research and contacting three different providers, I chose Home Instead. From the moment we contacted them our life started getting easier. Cassandra quickly set up an appointment for the owner, David, to come to the apartment and meet my father. He asked the right questions, listened, and provided us with a range of options to choose from. Zero pressure. The primary health aid, Leroy, quickly became like part of the family. David remained actively involved in managing my father's care--even while on vacation! And as my father gradually began to recover, they were very flexible in dialing down the service. The only advice I have is to set clear expectations up front about what kinds of help you would like the health aid to provide. The brochure promises the moon, more than any single health aid could reasonably be expected to provide. But be upfront about what help you need. That way it doesn't get awkward part-way through treatment if expectations aren't being met. This is particularly important if there will be more than one provider managing care. Overall we were very pleased with Home Instead and will definitely be contacting them again should we require additional care.

Each of them took excellent care of her, encouraging her as she slowly regained her health and mobility - and allowing me to get the rest I so desperately needed. I learned from them the best ways to continue her care on my own, and enjoyed their company immensely. They treated both of us with courtesy, respect and compassion. I can't thank the management, schedulers and caregivers enough for taking such good care of both of us. With them, it really IS personal!

I'm generally a fan of any marketing jujitsu that can turn the mundane into magic just by the addition of one word. Gillette's CFO is the real Lab rat at the blade maker. Isn't advertising grand. Two stars.

Safety razors at the time were essentially short pieces of a straight razor clamped to a holder. Since my father always used Gillette Razors, when it was time to shave my legs as a teenager that's what I used. Typical of the Father Daughter relationship he used to holler at me "you've been using my razor again!" It's like a family thing. When we start using a product we develop a brand loyalty. If I strayed trying other brands I always came back to Gillette. Lucky me I barely need to shave now. My Mother always said as you age the hair diminishes. I just shave a few gray hairs under my arms, haha! I don't have any on my legs anymore. If you're a man or woman try this product. I don't have any complaints. I'm posting a photo of the one I'm using currently.
