They did a great job, paid attention to details, and at spots that I was not completely happy with (due to there was still construction going on), they returned and retouched it until I was happy with the result. I wasn't planning to do regular maid service but it was such a pleasure working with Karol's touch, I think I'm going to work with them every month for cleaning. Cleaning Pros was hired to deep clean selected areas of my home - BATHROOMS (3) including "dusting"…read moreperimeter of room near ceiling, fixtures, and floor, wiping down baseboards (not just dusting) and wipe down shelves of 5 CLOSETS, deep clean of KITCHEN cabinets (vacuum and wipe down interior; clean exterior, pantry, oven, refrigerator interior), and ENTRY tile. With new carpeting and hardwood floors, the cleaners were specifically instructed not to clean those types of flooring. What they did do is vacuum some of the newly carpeted rooms and mop the hardwood floor, even though they were told not to do that. Clean ceiling fans by waving a duster at them and dislodged a ceiling fixture which they conveniently pretended not to notice or mention. What they didn't do was actually clean some of the baseboards, missed at least 25% of the interior of kitchen cabinets, missed the downstairs cabinets, and were packed up and ready to go. I had to wave them down as they were getting into their very nice, new(er) SUV and have them clean the oven, as agreed with scheduler. In spite of being told the lead cleaner was 80% proficient in English, there was definitely a language barrier that affected the ability to understand what their instructions were. Just nodded and said yes and did what they wanted. What they did do well was cleaning the refrigerator, the washer, the oven (it was a mess), cooktop, and the bathroom (less the baseboards and ceiling area "dusting"), and scraped something off the kitchen floor (I still don't know what it was). They did arrive on time and wore shoe protectors, which was greatly appreciated. I spot checked and found a couple items which they addressed. All in all, I've had to re-clean many of the areas they were tasked to do (kitchen cabinets, downstairs cabinets, dusting near ceiling, downstairs flooring). What I didn't do was check 100% of the work. They were tipped which I now regret as I find more things not done or need re-doing. I have learned a lesson that if you can't do it yourself, then you should be with them 100% of the time to ensure they do the work they were hired to do.

Instead of cleaning it themselves, they secretly outsourced it to another company I had specifically avoided. For nearly two weeks, I had no idea where my rug even was. When I picked it up, no one mentioned any issues -- but at home, I unrolled it to find a large bald spot stripped of pile. The "before" photos they eventually provided showed normal wear, nothing close to the damage it has now. Worse than the damage was the dishonesty. My refund requests were ignored, and instead they pressured me to let them "fix" it by dyeing it darker. It took him DAYS to send me the before photos. They even called from multiple numbers trying to come to my house after I refused. This experience was unprofessional and shady. I trusted them with something valuable and sentimental, and that trust is gone. Don't make the same mistake I did.

If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.
