There is a wide selection of cards at the front- most of them are cheeky and funny. The owner also has great music taste. I wanted sconces that would hold taper candles, not the electric sort that leave you having to hide the trailing cord. So I decide to run to Sweet Magnolia to replace a candle that had recently burnt out completely when, lo and behold!, there is the most gorgeous pair of gold-leafed wall sconces hanging right before my eyes! This is why I love Sweet Magnolia - you can find such elegant pieces here when you least expect it. I also appreciate that their prices don't put a huge dent in your wallet. $58 for the pair? I'll take them! The store also carries the greatest soy candles ever by Aquiesse which last a rather long time and come in several delightful fragrances. They also carry an array of other home goods - Forte teas, place settings, bath and body products, stationery, baby gifts, and jewelry. Definitely a great little shop for finding last minute gifts or a treat for yourself. I've seen similar items at other stores like Anthropologie for twice the price, so why not patronize a local entrepreneur instead?

There are 3 stairs to enter through the front door, so please note this establishment is not wheelchair accessible. Inside, there were many local-themed items, such as Eagles and Phillies themed merch I hadn't seen elsewhere. I ended up purchasing some cute earrings as a gift. Things were reasonably priced for a niche boutique shop like this in Manayunk, though I wish their selection was bigger for pretty much everything in the store. There is a little photo area as well. This shop is packed with everything you could think of - jewelry, candles, journals, bath products, handbags, crystals, and clothes! So many unique pieces too, lots of one of a kind items. The business owner, Natalie, is kind and engaging and wrapped my gifts (a moss amigo and hand poured candle) carefully. I guarantee you'd be able to find a gift for anyone in this store. Brittany is so personable, professional, all around sweet person that working with her was not work at all! We were clueless of all the different types of arrangements or what would look good and only had a semi idea of what we wanted, but meeting with Brittany, she put our minds at ease and walked us through the whole process. She was great with working within our budget, and best part, she made sure we stayed in it!! Outstanding service and extremely knowledgeable!! Never once did she make me feel overwhelmed or exhausted from the process. Petals lane arranged our ceremony decor which was at St. Helena parish, a Catholic Church and our reception decor at Vie our venue in downtown Philadelphia. She made our wedding day vision come true and believe me, our guests were gushing and constantly complimenting her beautiful work from the different centerpieces, our bouquets, candle arrangements and were in awe of the gorgeous venue decor at Vie which was all made possible by Brittany and her great team at Petals Lane. The quality of her work is remarkable! She was able to incorporate a last minute idea i had for a family portrait display that I really wanted to do (believe me when I say last minute... it was less than 2 weeks before the wedding!). The display turned out beautiful with the perfectly placed candles, florals, and portraits, our guests loved it. Our bridal party table... Stunning! She definitely did an amazing job with seamlessly arranging all the centerpieces and candle arrangements at the reception that when you first walk in the room you get that Wow and Awe feeling. Our personal bouquets and bouts were gorgeous! Our flowers lasted all day!! And for a Vietnamese wedding, all day started at 9 am when Petals Lane dropped off the bouquets and bouts at my parents house, through the tea ceremony in the morning, Catholic church ceremony in the afternoon, pictures with bridal party throughout Philadelphia, to the end of the reception at midnight! The flowers still look great now in a vase at home with water 2 days later. She was great at getting back to me with any questions, the many changes and revisions, and had so many great ideas it was amazing!! The value of her work is priceless.
