HORRIBLE VENUE!!
If you are planning on having a wedding at this venue, I am telling you to save your money and go elsewhere!!!! I am the mother of the groom and I just want people to know what we experienced at my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. All any mother wants, is the best for their child, especially on their wedding day, you want everything to be perfect, unfortunately, that is not what my son and daughter-in-law got that day. Well, it started off perfect, the weather was wonderful and the wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful but then everything quickly went downhill from there!
Let's start with cocktail hour. The food was horrible! The meatballs were dry and tasteless and the mini quiche's (looked like they were from M&M meats) were undercooked. All the food was placed outside on a table in the sun and heat and there were flies everywhere. It was disgusting. There was supposed to be an open bar, and my son was told by the wedding planner (Stacy) that if his guests didn't stop ordering drinks during cocktail hour, that she would shut down his open bar!! She then took it upon herself to tell the guests, by going table to table, and tell us that she would be running a cash bar up until dinner. So not only did she charge my son and my daughter-in-law (per person) to have an open bar, she then charged the guests for their drinks. And the prices were absolutely crazy, when my friend went to get a drink, she charged him $10 for a bottle of domestic beer. The seating that was provided for the cocktail hour, were hard wooden stools which were extremely uncomfortable, especially after sitting on them for hours since the dinner portion was delayed by over an hour.
Once we were finally allowed to go upstairs to the reception area, we were hit by a wall of HOT AIR!!! They did not put any air conditioning on. They just had the doors and windows open with a few fans on the floor. Why they would not put air on in the middle of July on a hot summer's day, is beyond me. It was so uncomfortably hot in that room, we could not even enjoy ourselves. And because the windows and doors were left open, when it became dusk, the mosquitos were coming in and eating us alive.
The dinner (when it finally came) was cold by the time it came to the table as there were only 2 waiters delivering food (having to run up and down the stairs, carrying 2 plates of food at a time). The soup was the worst Italian Wedding Soup I ever tasted, the chicken and pasta were cold and had no flavour, and the beef dinner had used what tasted like instant potatoes. My friend that was sitting at the same table as me, was surprised when she tried to bite into what she thought was a red pepper, but instead it was the rubber end of a set of tong's. The only thing that had any flavour was the dessert.
The open bar (or what they call an open bar) did NOT include any wine. This venue took place at a winery....AT A WINERY!!! So how could there be no wine offered. You would think they would want to promote their line of wines!!! Made no sense to me. All they had was spirits and beer. They did not even have any coolers. They ran out of mix and beer even before the end of the night so the only thing that was left was straight hard liquor.
Needless to say, this had to be the worst venue I have ever been to and the woman (Stacy) running the business should find a different line of work because she has no business sense what so ever!!!!! read more
