I told them I know how to ride and they gave me a horse named Ryan, who was really sluggish and required tons of leg work to keep up with the group. It was absolutely exhausting and super frustrating. We came by here to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and I did not enjoy it. My husband and was given a different horse named Ranger, and he didn't have to do anything to keep his horse moving. He had a much better experience than me. Another con is they don't let you interact with the horses before the ride or after the ride. I would have liked to be able to pet the horses or pet them and get some close ups with the horses. When you are on the trail ride they take your photo at two spots and this is included with admission cost. However we paid full price and I heard other people say how much they paid and they had used a groupon and paid half as much as us. After the ride, they offered us a promo to come back but I did not take the flyer because I did not want to go back. I feel bad writing this review because I don't want anything bad to happen to any of the horses if their business does badly but I did not have a good time. I don't recommend riding the horse named Ryan. The company also said to not to bring your phones but everyone else brought their phones. I was disappointed I didn't have mine.

For Down Under, you repeat the 9 holes to finish 18. From what I've heard, it's one of only two par 3 courses in the ClubLink network, the other is in Milton. I only played on the par 3 course because I'm a beginner and it was my first time playing a private course with my husband who's a member at a different club with access to this one. In terms of course conditions, it's pretty average. Though all the greens are playable. I imagine the championship course, which is more competitive, is probably nicer. The pace of play is smooth and pretty relaxed, but I'd guess most people come here for the championship course. There's also a driving range, chipping area, putting green, push carts that are free to use for members. The food at the club is pretty good, definitely a notch above public courses and fast food in terms of quality, and the prices aren't too bad. We got the tuna bowl and tacos. First time this season on the golf course, so I played like crap, but it was a great way to spend Canada Day.

To our disgust there was mould, and not the blue cheese desirable type of mould inside many packages of cheese and in numerous spots in the fridge. But the real coup-de-grâce was the dead bug that was sealed in the block of cheese. That's right. It was sealed, by the packaging machine inside the plastic wrap. When we pointed this out to the member of staff there she informed us that that was common and was typical of the packaging machine they use. Having experienced such a disgusting disregard to cleanliness we dreaded to think what could or would be in the wines, so declined to taste any. We have vowed to never visit or purchase anything from Ocala ever.
