They said that I could get the service the same day, I had my consultation in fact. I've been out of the state and I saw last pilot on Groupon giving a brow service which is I think called Nano brows it's a tattoo process, for a much lower price than their $700 starting price. For me that was perfect. It expires in May and I am coming through town in Santa Monica and I tried to reach them. I got the person who thanked me on my last review when I had my free consultation before. Her name was Tram. Today was a completely different story. I don't know what happened between the time I was there and now. Maybe this company sold to somebody else and they are not handling things well and certainly not treating people who have a Groupon the same as their high paying customers. First of all the phone tree is this automated thing you have to press one or two to get to either Santa Monica or Newport I pressed one and got the same person . Kept informing me that they didn't have any appointments with the person that does the brows. I told her I had a Groupon. She just kept putting me off and saying the person will be available because they're moving. It was pretty much BS. What it really was they put a group on out that they did not want to honor. I go to refund now through Groupon but this place at least the one in Santa Monica used to be really great I think it's really gone downhill if it even exists anymore. If they could have done my brows I would have given them a high rating because when I was in there the first time they treated me like gold I think that things have changed.

I thought it was going to be very difficult to find the spa since there's many businesses in the building but I found it quite quickly. It's on the ground level and has "Natural Illumination" written on the window. I was greeted right away and stepped into a soothing waiting area with plants, a water cooler, essential oils and meditative music. Once Jen whisked me away to the facial room, I was surprised to see a cute little creek running outside with lots of greenery. Who knew this was here!? Such a beautiful oasis and a lovely soundtrack to go with the spa music. The facial itself was divine. I've been following Taylor on Instagram for two years and have been obsessed with her work. I've always wanted to get my brows done by her but never got around to making the appointment. I finally decided it was my turn to get my brows done, and I'm SO glad I did! Unfortunately, I overplucked my eyebrows in middle school, so they've been sparse ever since. I'm honestly not that great at makeup and could never perfect my eyebrow routine, so it was time for Taylor to take them on. I seriously cannot say enough good things about my experience with Taylor at OC Microblading getting nanobrows! I've always wanted to enhance my natural brows so I could skip the step of filling them in daily, and when I saw Taylor's work, I knew I had to go to her. She is extremely professional, on top of communication, and makes you feel so welcome and comfortable even before entering her studio. Getting my eyebrows microbladed by Taylor was the best decision ever. A few years ago a was diagnosed with a rare form of alopecia that affects the front part of my scalp and eyebrows. I barely had anything left and honestly I'm not very good at using makeup to recreate what I had. Taylor was so thorough and patient on my first appointment to get the shape just right. I must also mention she is so sweet and reassuring. I could not be happier. Checking in with me after to make sure everything was going ok with my brows as they healed. I was always happy with my real eyebrows until they disappeared but now I LOVE my new eyebrows. I'm constantly getting compliments from my friends about how amazing they look. She has been trying to convince me for years to do lip blush but I was so nervous and then I finally gave in and I wish I listened to her sooner!! After booking it online (totally for this process) I received a text asking me preliminary questions as well as requests for screenshots of my brows. Long story short, Denise is a professional. Doing her homework to assure her success and her clients satisfaction. She proceeded to suggest a style and shape and drew it on my brows to show me what it would look like. When I told her I had my own ideas and wanted to look similar to the way my brows were before the over plucking and over shaving and age, she did not necessarily agree with me. But because they're my brows and I explained in detail what I wanted, she went with my request. When she was finished, she was pleased and mentioned she had not done this style but was going to put them as an option to her classic styles. She listened to what I wanted and made thoughtful suggestions based on my preferences and her professional opnions. I felt really comfortable with Ann and she did a great job with both and she's so light-handed. I loved how both my eyebrows and my lips came out! It's been a week and I'm totally amazed how much pigment both my eyebrows and lips retained! Both are still healing, and is still peeling, but I am happy with how both has turned out so far. Her business in a suite in a building of similar personal care services. It was easy to locate, and I had no issue finding parking. The building itself is nice and modern. Her suite was clean, cozy and personable (ps: this is a mama of 1 and expecting her second any day now!!). The chair was comfortable. I got a set of lash extensions, and it took approx an hour and a half. She was meticulously to help my poor, short lashes get some oomph but not too overboard (for work purposes). I was not given a waiver or detailed explanation of the procedure beforehand. After the treatment, I experienced burns and damage to my brow area that required corrective work, which cost me several thousand dollars to fix. When I later raised concerns, the provider denied that any chemical was applied during my service and stated that a product was only sold to me. I disagree based on my experience during the appointment and the injuries that followed. At the time I checked, the cosmetology license associated with this provider, appeared expired/cancelled on the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology website. I have attached photo documentation showing the results. I'm sharing this review so others can make an informed decision.
