When we were about to have an irrevocable trust prepared and delivered we received a copy of their contract which obviously were filled with legal laguage wherein an average client such as we are failed to comprehend in detail. During our free consultation, Attorney Marty Burbank appeared to be on top of all our questions. When Marty presented us with a contract, it did not cover our discussions' full scope. He did not offer a price for a retainer, instead, we discovered he held back on the final request because he planned to have us pay a second sum for the 3rd part. This would have added up to more than $9000 with an initial deposit of $4,500 and no limitations on his billing. We also realize if we had not uncovered his plans from the beginning, we would have had to start from scratch since another attorney would not ethically start with us in the middle of another attorney's work.
