I had a small job I needed done...real small. Tag (Yes, his name is Tag-like the game) quoted me $50 and when I returned to pick up my car he only charged me $40. Who does that? Also, I brought my car in a little later than they were expecting. Julie and Tag tracked down one of their guys who was still working and asked him to stay, which he did. All in all they could not have been nicer or more accommodating......All for $40. Thanks Tag! read more

This my most favorite body shop in OC and very reasonable, friendly, professional and quick. Super happy with thier service. read more

A few years ago I found Tag and Co. while looking for a used car. They were helpful and provided some useful information. So I took a mental note (and a business card) of the shop. Almost a year ago I had a minor, non-urgent repair, so I went there and got a quote from Troy. Soon after he told me the parts were on back order (which was true at the time), and he would call me when the parts became available. He never called. Instead, I called every few months to follow up, and was always given the same response. Since it had been almost a year, I decided to call a dealership and found that the parts can be available the next day. With that information, I called OC Auto Collision again, and Tag said he would have Troy look into it and call me back. I had to call again, and Troy gave a stupid reason why the parts are not available (they buy from a different dealership), said he was with a customer, and would call me back. Of course he never did. These people are unprofessional, not at all what they seemed back during that first encounter. read more

The staff here is so friendly and accommodating. I came in on a Thursday afternoon, after hitting the front bumper of my car against my garage. I could tell they were busy working with other customers, but they still attended to me promptly! I wasn't expecting them to fix my car that day... I was only expecting a quote... but when Troy came out to look at the damage... he said he could have their mechanic attach my bumper right away. It was suchhhhh a huge relief. I will definitely be coming back here!! read more

We have had the pleasure of dealing with this body shop a few times- Troy has always been quick to respond, very professional and puts a positive and honest face to the autuo collision industry, which usually runs rampant with schiesters and liars. Vehicles repaired- Toyota Corrolla, Chevy Silverado 2500 , GMC Suburban, Honda Civic Sport, GMC Denali . Beautiful job on all of them- and Tag is awesome to deal with as well. Kudos to the Business Manager, she is friendly, funny and very informative when we have questions. Great South County business and worth the 45 minute drive for us ! read more

This is what Yelp is meant to be - a reward and referral for the best of businesses. I can say after 3 repairs that San Clemente Auto Collision (SCAC) is without a doubt among the best of businesses. SCAC has repaired my Lexus, Toyota, and Volvo. They have provided exceptional value and unparalleled service, often going beyond our family's needs and requests. Their location leaves much to be desired, but if you can bear with an industrial area of San Clemente, then you will reap dividends in auto repair and collision services! read more

This rating is based on 4 categories that are important to know about any auto collision center. My experience with this place is a complete distaster. After being involved in a Tbone collision with my 2009 vehicle (other party at fault) their insurance company, Mercury, recommended this location. Quality of work: "F" grade. The vehicle was returned to me after 6 weeks with a fixed bumper. The bumper had a new 5 inch dent in it. It was then returned to me in 3 days later. I drove it for several days and noticed the passenger window was rattling. I then took it back to them for repair. They had it for another 2 days and I became suspicious and suspect of their quality of work. I noticed a 1/2 inch gap between the bumper and fender. The bumper was loose and fender was loose. I saw the the new moulding around the window was hastily replaced and the seal was not done correctly. I drove it over the weekend and while on the fwy I hear a loud "pop" from the undercarriage. I come home to inspect the vehicle and noticed the suspension or axle was broken. It was never fixed correctly. This was a 2 year old vehicle with no prior histories of being involved in a collision. Custumer Service: "C" Grade. If they make a mistake they will pay for your rental. However, each time you bring it back you have to take time off from work and go through the same hassle. Timely: They take alot of time to complete the work. I would not mind if they took the time and had it done correctly. That is not the case. The work comes back sloppy. Ethics: Do a test drive with shop manager (manu) when it is returned to you. Verify the work each time. Do a 360 walk around. The place is owned and operated by Iranians. I have no problems with them however, an obvious cultural difference exists in business and honesty. They will take short cuts to effect the bottom line. Additional tips: Return your rental vehicle after you have fully inspected your repaired (or lack of repaired) vehicle. This way you don't have go recheck a rental after discovering your car was not done correctly. In the end I did not allow them to repair my vehicle. I had zero confidence and a heavy suspicion of their work. I took it to the original dealership where I purchased it. They did a full inspection and rechecked their work. They found the ball pin joint was never secured properly. The bumper and window was not attached correctly. Had I flipped over on the freeway with my 3 yr old nephew it would have been a complete distaster/nightmare. I filed a fraud complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Document your incident with them with dates and times. Write notes on what was said by whom. http://www.autorepair.ca.gov/ read more

Absolutely amazing body shop! Tag and his team are flawless and have been every time I have visited. They treat you like family, and the quality and consistency of their work is flawless. Your car will come out looking better than it did when it was new. I am very particular and have a very good eye on anybody and paint work. Derrick Bodyshop workers are among the best in the industry. Had a issue with my Prius just today, and I came in with the parts I needed and was taking care of on the spot. I cannot say one bad thing about this place. Thank you so much and I will return! Thanks! Kayvon read more

I brought my 2 week old car to OC Auto Collision after it had been while parked at my office. Tag, the opener, was very helpful and personally came out and inspected my car and the damage. He assured me that he would be able to make my car look like new again. I stopped by a couple of times to check on my car during the process, and I even met with the guys who were working on my car and let me tell you, these guys KNOW what they are doing! All of the technicians there are very friendly, and polite. I even saw the owner out there working with his guys! It isn't a fun situation to be in, but sometimes you have no choice. These guys will put your mind at ease, and take the guess work out of the equation. I highly recommend OC auto Collision, and after you use them, you will too! Thanks again Tag! read more

Troy and Julie are top notch. I have a business that has drivers out on the road every day. There have been times when my drivers have been rear ended by other people and Troy and Julie have worked well with us at getting the cars repaired and back on the road with very little down time. Their prices are very reasonable and their positive attitudes make it a pleasure to work with them. I am glad I have only had to bring my cars to them a few times, but if something happens they are the first people I call because I know I will be treated well. It is hard to find people you can trust in the auto repair business now a days, but trust me when I say, if you have a accident and need some work done, give Troy and Julie a call. They will take good care of you. Dave O. read more

This place was a huge disappointment. My husband and I took my car here to fix a side mirror. They took forever just to come out and look at the car. We ended up being there for about four hours and finally left a deposit for the mirror to be ordered. He told us it would take two business days and cost a total of $400. Three business days later I called to follow up and was given the run around. They said they didn't know when the part would be in. I asked for a timeframe since we'd been told two business days and they had taken our money but they continued to say they couldn't tell me. We finally asked for our money back. All in all it was a waste of an entire week. We went to ICC Collision and got it done in a half hour for $276. read more

Had a large amount of damage after our tow bars malfunctioned and our jeep slammed into the back of our 40' diesel RV motor coach -- GRRR!!!! Because the end cap is just one BIG piece of fiberglass and the MFG didn't have this to replace. I knew it was going to be tough to get rebuild so it aligned correctly, functioned properly and color matched the existing design. After Tag and Troy walked me thru exactly how they would handle it, I left it in their hands. They have a large drive in paint both for RV and enough space to easily accommodate securely storing the coach while being repaired. The work turned out great and we were very satisfied with the results. The cap fits perfectly and now even more sturdy and aligned correctly with the rest of the rear end and color matching was spot on with existing design. Thanks guys for you talented work and hope you all have a good holiday!! read more

I could not be happier with the work OC Auto Collision did for me. Their prices and quality of work can't be beat. I got estimates from other places and they were prepared to charge me three times more than OC Auto Collision. I really respect their honesty and kindness. It isn't everyday you find a business that isn't trying to rip you off. I hope I don't have to return soon but I will definitely refer family and friends to them. read more

Alex was great. He took care of paint, body and bumper work on my 2016 Tacoma. It came out perfect and was done much much faster than Caliber Collision's estimate. He had the whole thing done in 6 days, Caliber wanted 3 weeks for all the work. I recommend Alex and San Clemente Auto Collision highly. I hope I never have to use him again, but once I mess my truck up again, I'll be back. read more

I picked my car up yesterday after having some work done. My car is five years old and had quite a few imperfections that needed to be repaired. Out of three estimates, theirs was $500.00 less than the other quotes, and after reading other reviews that were very positive, I decided to have them do the work. EXCELLENT customer service, EXCELLENT end result and the car was ready when they said it would be. Overall a very positive experience and I would use this company again without any hesitation. The employees were so friendly and kind, wonderful experience!!!!!! read more

I have worked here for a couple years now and I have never worked for a more honest and compassionate human being ever. Tag the owner of OC Auto Collision does a lot of the estimation himself and is always bringing prices down to help out everyone. Everyone that is employed here is always happy and motivated every morning when clocking in. All of our technicians have been here for numerous years and work together as a team. Our operations manager Troy has been in this business over 25 years and is thorough with everything he does. This place is awesome. They are honest and truly go above and beyond. I was in an accident in Mexico and Luis has been in contact with the Mexican insurance for me. Called San Clemente Auto Collision in search of somewhere to install some aftermarket mudguards onto my vehicle. I called Mike & after telling him what I wanted done he gave me a rough estimate of $20 despite having to straighten out a piece of plastic & remove a wheel and said he could install them the next morning. Surely enough I showed up the next morning & Mike and his crew got the job done. When I showed up to pay and pick up my car the guy in the mechanics outfit asked if he gave me a price & I said "$20 but I'm not sure if he was going to honor that." "Good thing you didn't say 10! Got 20 bucks?" I can't remember the last time I've actually laughed and had a great experience where I walked out with a smile after paying for work on my car! I will definitely bring my vehicle to san Clemente auto collision for any future needs & recommend them highly to everyone including my family! Thanks Mike! read more

This place is awesome! I am so impressed. When I walked into their office to get a price quote, the gentleman at the front offered me some tea, water or coffee. Then he had the owner, Tag come and check out my car too. Tag was able to reduce my original price quote to a very reasonable quote. They made my car look as good as new in just 4 short days! I'll definitely recommend them to friends and family. Great staff, great work, super quick. Can't beat that. read more

absolutely rude and shady bunch of people. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! A gentlemen by the name of TAG but his business card says Habib took a deposit on car and never fixed the car.
