I enrolled my child right away since they don't seem to offer trial classes. Her first class was on a Saturday with Coach Haltz, and unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience. The coach sat the entire time, simply giving instructions, which made it difficult for my daughter, who is brand new, to keep up with the warm-ups and across-the-floor exercises. Despite this being a Tumbling 1 class, they were doing back walkovers and front walkovers during across-the-floor drills. How is this considered a beginner-level class? My daughter didn't receive any spotting, even though she can't do a back walkover yet and was trying her best to keep up. I initially gave the coach the benefit of the doubt since she mentioned she wasn't feeling well that day. However, when we returned the following week, it was the same thing. The coach began the class sitting down, gave instructions, demonstrated a little, but again didn't spot or assist the new students at all. It feels like a Tumbling 1 class here assumes you're already trained and just need a space to practice. While the coach seems skilled, they lack the teaching approach necessary for beginners. A true beginner class should involve more hands-on assistance and spotting to help build confidence and ensure the students are learning safely. This is not how a beginner program should be run. read more

So my daughter has been at OC for four years now. OC all stars makes you feel like family. From Mrs. Mady, at the front desk always greeting the kiddos, and parents with a happy greeting. Or her just leaving encouraging notes for each team when they have practice. To the coaches stopping to have a small talk with the parents before practice. To the athletes so excited to see each other, and to the other parents conversing with one another, and having a good time. It's a home away from home, if you will. If you're looking for your athlete to grow this is the place. My daughter is only 9, and working on level 4 tumbling skills, on a level 3 full year team. It's been my experience that the coaches goals are to help each athlete in the area they're struggling in, growing in, or just making sure they keep progressing. They have shown So much passion for their athletes, and the athletes futures. I can't ever get my 9 year to leave. She literally hides from me, so I can't tell her it's time to go. What makes this place even more special is John, and Mandy. They go above and beyond for all their athletes. The way Mandy will just watch an athlete, and if needed give a correction. Or just a " hey that looked great" encouragement. John just having time to see how parents are doing, to taking time to help a struggling athlete even though he's got plenty on his plate. Seriously, it's a such awesome gym to watch your child grow. To make life long friends, to their role models the kiddos look up to, that actually love being around your child. I have nothing but great things to say about OC All Stars! We started my daughter at 4 going on 5 feeling like it was the right move but also a little hesitant due to her age. My daughter started with summer camp here in 2021. She is on her second time doing half year cheer. She is enjoying this team and all of the coaches. She is 10 years old. She now is wanting to commit to a full year and try out for the team. For parents who are wanting to know about the summer camp. The summer camp is mainly for babysitting your children and keeping them active so don't expect this to be something more... but my girls enjoyed it. if you are looking to actually do cheer, I would recommend trying the half year first. It has been great introduction to my daughter to see if she will actually like cheer. She is also taking tumbling and handspring classes. By taking these classes it's helping her strengthen her durability. It is a slow process so be patient. Overall we love the facility and the staff is great and helpful. My daughter loves their classes and wishes she could do camp daily. My husband feels a bit uneasy about camp due to some injuries my other daughter had at cheer camp. However, after meeting with the owner and receiving communication from the cheer camp director, I definitely feel that they are proactive about keeping the facility functional and safe for the kids. I wish I received a call when my child was injured, but the follow up and overall happiness that my kids expressed about their experiences has left a positive impression. I have never seen my kids more excited and happy about classes and activities My seven year old has never ever begged to go to a camp and or be away from home for so many hours- so I do believe they run a fun and positive environment for the kids. This review isn't in regards to the coaches but as you'll see if you look at other reviews, the lady at the front desk needs some communication and customer service training. I called and left several voicemails bc I had questions about the cheer team and other classes. After about a week I received a callback and the lady was super short and seemed bothered by my questions. I didn't bother matching her energy thinking she may have had a bad day but when I called back with a follow up question a few days later, she was just as off putting. Not sure why any business would want someone with her demeanor as the primary POC for potentially new customers. Looks like from other reviews, it's a pretty common occurrence with this person and honestly, is the reason I won't bother bringing my kids here. My 4 year old daughter has been begging to do a tumbling class and I found this place after doing some research. I called to ask questions and the woman who answered was very short and didn't seem interested in answering my questions. She came off very rude in her responses and I had to restrain myself from being rude back. I figured that it was just a bad moment of hers. You'd think if someone new was calling they would be a little more interested in giving you information. I ended up signing my daughter up for a drop in class (online) to try it out. My daughter is shy so we arrived early so that she could acclimate herself with the place. I walked in and the lady acted annoyed that I didn't know that the class was called, even though I gave her the name and time of the class. She didn't act welcoming or even say hi to my daughter. It seemed like she just wanted us to leave as fast as we got in there. Her whole presence was off putting. I immediately recognized her voice and attitude from the call. She told me there was no classes going on so we had to go outside and didn't offer information about the facility. After taking the class, I walked to the front with my daughter and expected her to at least ask how we liked it and if we were thinking about signing up. She barely acknowledged us and seemed distracted by something else. I walked out and she was yelling behind me to another mother that she "couldn't park there" because it was a no park zone. When the mom sat there to let her kids get in, she looked back and gave them a really nasty look. Honestly, who would want this lady to be the face of their establishment? She's rude and uninterested in anything else but yelling at random cars it seems. After reading some of the other reviews, it seems like she gives most people this same treatment. There should be someone warm and welcoming there. Someone that acts like they actually want you a part of the facility. Unfortunately, she's the reason we won't be coming back. My daughter LOVES the dance classes at OC! I never write yelp reviews but had to give some credit to the amazing staff at OC. The dance studios are super nice and very clean and the instructors really care about the kids. I highly recommend taking classes here. My daughter was a little nervous for her first classes when she first started but the teachers made her feel so welcome and comfortable. My daughter is also taking tumbling classes that she loves as well. A main reason we choose OC after trying others programs was because they have options for all ages. I don't have to go to a bunch of different places for different classes. We haven't tried cheer yet but we hear the cheer program is outstanding and is nationally recognized. My daughter went to camp here last week and they don't permit parents to view any part of camp. This is a huge red flag for me in the age of coach abuse. I get having limits on people inside the age of COVID but open a side door for viewing from outside or something. The camp staff is all very young, were very short with me, and had bad attitudes. I pay a lot of money for my daughter to cheer here but what I can't stand is that it is absolutely FREEZING, even for the poor girls working out. It literally feels like an ice rink. Just moved to this area and needed to find a gym that my daughter could tumble at. She is currently committed to the gym from our old neighborhood otherwise I would switch her. The staff here is friendly and they offer a variety of classes from tots to teens. We have only been to one tumbling class, and so far I think it will work out. The gym is huge, compared to our old gym. Based on 4 months worth of membership, I am really disappointed about the school`s dance department plus the front desk work! I expected more from the school reading about the achievements and rewards. First of all, when I came in for the first time the front desk girl was not able to tell me which class has available spot and got confused about the printed dance class schedule list! The online class schedule is absolutely not updated, had to go in for more info, because some classes not even started! Secondly, my daughter chose 2 dance classes but after the 3rd class we quit from the one, because the teacher spent a lot of time regulating unfocused girls, started the class 5 mins later and kept 5 mins break in the middle. The other class has substitute teacher 3 times and there was ballet instead of jazz dance. The teacher was really really strict and she could not make a contact with my 5 years old sensitive daughter! She got scared and started crying from her loud voice, but the teacher just ignored her and the solution for the situation was keeping my daughter at the side of the wall, watching others. Finally, it was strange for me, that not every kids wanted to participate at the year end recital. (We belonged 2 other schools in the past, but all of the kids performed at the year-end show.) So they combined the ballet and jazz classes and my daughter got involved with not beginner ballet dancers to learn the routine for the recital. That was the point when we quit from the school. Camp is supposed to be fun something your kids want to go to in this case it was the complete opposite. My daughter cried everytime I dropped her off and I knew something was wrong because she went to a different camp last year and she was up every morning and could not wait to get there. At this camp she was getting hit everyday I walked in to pick her up one day and found one staff sitting on the floor texting while this the kids were playing and one was hitting the some of the girls and the staff never looked up. Another day the kids were let loose and the staff were all laying on the floor not supervising. This may be a good dance school I was impressed with the facility but it's weekly camp needs MAJOR work I paid for 3 weeks in advance and I stopped taking her after the 2 day of the 2nd week because she wasn't sleeping well and didn't look forward to them I complained and never got even an apology or a response from ANYONE at the school. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I would definitely not recommend paying for more than one week at a time because if your kids don't like it that is how they keep your money there are no refunds very disappointing at the unprofessionalism of this place read more
