Since COVID hit in March, I haven't had any professional hair maintenance. So I was scared. But I must confess - this is coming from someone who hates getting my hair cut even in the best of times- this place was great. My hair was shorn to the agreed length. The products used were excellent quality. The cost was reasonable. I will be back here for sure!

I asked if they'd take me as a walk in and offered up a challenge - my insane mane. Anna accepted. She cut my hair so quickly and did an amazing job. No lie - I had some random dude on the escalator at Broadview Station stop me and tell me he thinks my haircut is great. Beyond the stranger's approval which was nice, most importantly it feels healthy and great. I will return.

I came here years ago to lighten my hair, it was all multi-colored by box dye of black, brown, red…read more Anyhow, she told me that she does some 'lightening' treatment and I must admit, it definitely came out lighter and I was impressed. Fast forward, I have so many grey hairs growing rapidly, it's time to go back to my lighter side, and she's the only one I can trust to get the job done. Lovely personality, and 'checks in' on how you feel about hair changes, as she goes along.

I came here a few weeks ago to get my hair cut and coloured red. The haircut was fine, but the…read moreshade of red was quite far off from what I asked for - I asked for a warm, copper-ish colour, but the final result was significantly darker, not to mention a much cooler shade of red (bordering on a plum-ish colour). So I emailed asking to discuss a possible refund or re-do appointment. Reasonable, right? I would have accepted a simple no, but instead, the owner sent me a crazy rant accusing me of being a customer who came in ages ago and left without paying. This is impossible for a few reasons, but mainly: I just moved to Cabbagetown a few months ago, and would never have travelled over an hour from my old address to get my hair done here. I'd never even heard of this place until a month ago. I tried to call and explain to resolve the issue, but she didn't let me talk and called me all kinds of names, cussed me out, and threatened to call the cops. It's very unfortunate that someone stole from this salon, but that someone was not me, and accusing me of that and acting the way she did was totally unacceptable.

I have been going to my go to girl Laura who does an amazing job. She listens to what I want and how it to be and gives me the end result. The overall team is really sweet and nice. But overall I love this place, make sure to call in advance to book appointments.

My hair has always been a source of irritation for me for so many reasons but one of the main ones…read morehas been finding a good salon. Other then this salon I have only really found a small few that I find good enough to return to. In my business physicality's are very important and hair is high on that list but unfortunately I have never been skilled at doing my own hair so finding a trusted and reliable salon is a life savor! The location is a tad far for me but the service makes it more then worth while, they're situated in a large outdoor plaza with ample parking. The salon itself is actually quite small with a more unassuming design style; I enjoy feeling comfortable in my surroundings so the super posh designs some salons have actually make me less comfortable if you can believe it. The salon is exceptionally clean and modern with less emphasis on advertisements and decent use of floor space. The secretary was very polite and greeted me immediately even though the salon was packed. You can tell a good salon often just by how many clients are there so I knew it was a popular place. I was actually recommended by a photographer friend of mine who raves about this salon and I could certainly see why just by the caliber of customer service I received. I had my hair cut and styled by the owner of the salon ( I am soooo horrible with names it's actually terrible!) his name slips my mind but he worked along side Elmer Olson with many models and even celebrities. He was obviously very skilled and super gentle, ( lots of stylists tend to tug at my often unruly locks ) he assessed my needs quickly and I was astounded by how down to earth he was. I was expecting him to try to sell me on all sorts of things among the top I thought would be new extensions but he was so flattering and told me my hair was actually great. Again this kinda stunned me as most hair stylists I find try to convince you of all the things wrong with your hair and all the products or services they can offer to "fix" it. But not this time he just told me all kinds of tips for managing my curly hair, he didn't even push product or anything I decided on my own to go with the amazing Moroccan mousse he was using on me that smelled so divine. Hair cut, wash and style was $60 I think and well worth that plus the tip. A hairstylist who not only works well with my hair and my budget but is honest too? That's hard to find so you better be sure I'll be driving back out to Woodbridge for my next trim or the bangs I'm debating on getting, this time I'll get pics!

I asked for balayage she gave me ombre and made me look like a skunk. the assistant hurt me when brushing through my hair so bad I was almost in tears she also took 6 hours to do my hair!! I was there from ten am until 6 pm. Weeks after I had breakage as I brushed my hair little pieces would fall out. when I asked to speak to the manager I was treated with disrespec. The owner Jordan was also disrespectful. They also have a new online system where they make you pay your deposit before hand and tell you the total is 315 only to tell you it is actually 350. They are rude and all they care about is your money not your hair and have no human decency of how to speak to people on the phone. they scammers there is no option to cancel online your appointment after they receive you deposit they don't answer the phone and then purposely will tell you the manager isn't available so you don't talk to them and you can't cancel your appointment.

Wow, Liz and Sumi certainly worked their magic on my hair. My appointment started out with a thorough consultation to understand my hair type, my face type and how I style my hair on a daily basis. Then, we proceeded to a trim to the side of my head and at the back of my head. Sumi asked lots of great questions and walked through every step of the process to make sure I was aware of the procedures and communicated what was going on, which I really did appreciate. Then, we proceeded to the application of the solution which was pretty cool as it was 3-person teamwork project to apply solution while putting my hair into curls. It was actually a fun experience. The final reveal of my hair was amazing. I was in awe of how my dull and boring thick black horn could look naturally shaped with the curls. The style was clean and smart and the staff provided helpful tips to ensure that I can maintain my look for a long-term basis. I highly recommend this spot if this is your first or ongoing perm appointment. It was one of the most pleasant experiences, especially for this person who does not like sitting in a chair for long periods of time.

My wife booked an appointment with Stephanie to dye her hair here for the first time and was told…read moreit was $67. She went today and after Stephanie was done, she said she did a bunch of other things that my wife never asked for nor agreed to and charged her $278. After a lengthy dispute, my wife got fed up and paid it and left. Worst of all, she came home with a dye job that looked exactly the same as this morning before her appointment, with 4" of hair near the roots still black (rest was dyed). Update: My wife went back today and another stylist named Denise was super nice and offered to fix her hair at the roots. She came home looking great and we are both very happy with the results. Thank you Denise.

I got…read moremy hair RUINED by one of the "master" stylist to the point where it was so over processed I went somewhere else and they had to cut off over 6 inches. I could literally see and feel my hair breaking off, don't think I've ever cried that much in my life. My hair was long, healthy and soft and ever since coming here it's been dead. Not only did I have to pay for the balayage (which was expensive on its own) but I've also now had to spend $100's of dollars on Olaplex products to TRY to fix my hair. All I want is to get my hair to how it was before. Every time I look in the mirror all I can think about is how short and damaged my hair is now and regret ever coming to this place. If I can give you one piece of advice it would be DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! I've never posted a review but once I figure out how to post photos I'll post the before and after and you'll see the damage they did to my hair, it's bad!! :( Adding the pictures, the left was my hair right after my appointment and the right is a couple weeks after. (ps. my hair wasn't actually that orange, it is the light) but you can see how much shorter my hair is and that my hair is now super thin, breaking and falling out. I'll be honest tho, This picture doesn't even do it justice of how bad it really was, parts of my hair weren't even reaching my shoulders from the breakage and the parts that were were breaking with every touch. My hair now it just past my shoulders with how much they had to cut,, YEARS of growing my hair out RUINED. Never been to a place as bad as this! :( If I can save even one person from having the same terrible experience I'll be happy cuz this was honestly THE WORST experience I have ever had. :(
