I too contacted Valen Concrete Coatings about the bubble that was visible from the work done on my garage floor. The Valen employee came out and said he would actually have to sand it down completely and lay a new coat down, but I will not be able to tell the difference. However, when I checked on the work the Valen employee stated he was going to try something different. After seeing his finished work the Valen employee agreed it would be best to have the area sanded down and a new coat applied to the area that will not include the entire floor. The Valen employee also stated the work he performed will need to dry, and I would need to call Valen Concrete Coating to have an employee come back out. That never happened. I never get my calls returned from Valen. I have no appointment scheduled with Valen. This is their work (eerily similar to previous complaints). I blame myself for this. Luckily my wife is an attorney, and what may be posted as not covered under warranty is not true in this case and a couple of posted complaints I have read. Valen Concrete Coating seem to know which complaints to ignore and which complaints they can apply the not covered under warranty rule to. My post should serve as a consumer alert. I will update this review and those on any other platform after the legal process and the outcome, which does take a while. In the meantime ask Valen Concrete Coating to address some of the complaints (pick one or two). Inform the Valen Concrete Coating you want to know how they would respond if the same happened to you. Note: Record all conversations. I did! Every single one!

If you are looking for an honest, skilled contractor, contact this business. Troy (the owner) gave…read moreus an estimate, stuck to it, showed up on time as we agreed, cleaned up, and most importantly DID the Quality work! He replaced a section of our siding where our garage roof met the house just underneath the main roof (a tight space) and then down to the ground. The old siding and fascia boards were water-damaged and squirrel feed. He personally did this work because his crew was working on a bigger project. He could have turned down or delayed this "small" job (less than $5K) but he chose to go the extra mile and do it himself. He didn't damage the roof or our rose bush. He even fixed a soft spot in the corner that we didn't ask him to, because that's the kind of quality contractor he is. He was recommended to us by a mutual friend who used Qualified Home Solutions for a bigger job years ago. Now, I Highly recommend this company.

I had heard their ads on our local conservative radio show about their craftsmanship and customer service and it seemed they would be the perfect company for my home remodel... well sad to say the ads aren't what I experienced when contacting them to setup an appointment for a consultation. Spoke to a really nice lady on the phone and explained to her what we were looking to do to our home. She took down our contact information and stated that one of the home remodel salesmen would be in contact to setup an appointment. 30 days past and we heard nothing, so my wife reached out to see what was going on and was informed that the nice lady I originally talked to on the phone had forgot to forward our information to the remodeling department. She was very apologetic, so My wife and I thought well minor over site and wanted to move forward with Southern since they supposedly share our values. Within a few days we were contacted by one of their remodeling specialist and made an appointment with this associates 2 weeks out from our conversation. Appointment day arrives and well the associate was a no show for our consultation. My wife disappointed from the no show reached out to Southern to make sure we were scheduled for a consultation and she confirmed and said she would have the sales associate contact us directly. Their sales associate did reach out to me and was apologetic about missing the appointment stating that an emergency had risen on one of their other jobs and that he was happy to reschedule for another day. While we were appreciative of the call and explanation still doesn't excuse the lack of communication from a company who's ads state they pride themselves on their workmanship and customer experience... especially after my wife and I took off work in order to meet with Southern Exteriors associate. While I can't comment on their workmanship if it's anything like their customer service I'd be taking my business elsewhere like my wife and I. Steve C.

He verbally quoted me $1,500 for an IKEA laminate counter kitchen installation. The cost of the IKEA laminate counter (3 pieces) was only $300. I felt the $1,500 was a bit high but I was having trouble finding someone to install laminate and Victor seemed knowledgeable regarding my project. The project should have taken a day, but Victor was extremely slow. He also let me know he now charges hourly. After day one, he was still setting up his equipment and adjusting my an ikea kitchen drawers which he claimed were off. Not much more done on day 2, day 3, finally started cutting counter tops. I asked him repeatedly where were were on price which he said he would let me know but did not. The evening before he did the actual install on my counter he sent me a text stating he was at $4,500. I was could not even believe this. I did not respond until the next day when he arrived. I had a conversation with him regarding the price he was now charging, he said he had to adjust some cabinets, I did not even pay that much to have my whole IKEA kitchen installed! I knew he was going to leave me is a mess, no counter, sink, etc. I told him to finish and when he was done, I tried to talk with him again about the original $1,500 estimate to now $4,500. He got very heated, so I gave him a check for the full amount which I so regret now but I was uncomfortable with his reaction and wanted him to leave my home. Please beware and don't make the same mistakes I did by hiring Victor who took total advantage of me and he knows it.
